I’m just happy to be alive in this era of badass tools man. Battery powered wrenches that can bust semi lugs. Crazy dude. That is one fine looking machine brother👌. Very nice

That's a powerful one. I have the 1/2 inch and it does great so I know the 3/4 is a beast

Right now, the cost of one 8.0 Ah battery in Japan (80,000 yen) may be greater than the cost of the 40V tool + charger + 2 batteries + case (60,000-90,000 yen)! So the performance of the lowly 2.5 Ah battery is pretty sweet. As for Metabo tools, they are no longer made in Germany (that was eons ago). They are made in China. This particular Makita tool is made in Japan.

I think the XGT platform will be a bust in the long-term Batteries are ridiculously large not to mention costly!

@@IMPACT-NATION Hey if you like them I hope so and you’re probably right.
Personally, my biggest problem is that the weight is lopsided especially using the 4 ah battery, ie their new 18 in XGT chainsaw.
Now the new XGT reciprocating saw is badass (if you can find one).

@@Sfhakrn hey dude I’m just being a wise ass. I totally get what your saying. I wasn’t about to pay those high prices for the XGT stuff when it first came out. I waited for the promo deals. Only one I paid full price was the 10 1/4 rear handle kit. I know people who can’t stand XGT and people who absolutely love them. I never ran the chainsaw but I’ll take your word for it. Battery placement and weight distribution are definitely vital when running a tool for a length of time

@@IMPACT-NATION I may end up getting into the line the same way. I just think they need to come down off that $500 for the recip saw gen 2 kit. I’m admittedly a bit of a tool snob, but that’s just insane to me! I got a the DeWalt XR compact for $179 off Amazon and it’s pretty amazing, so $320 more? F! Lol. Also just got Godzilla for $199 with a free Metabo 36v battery and charger from Lowes. Heck of a deal. Guess what I’m saying is, cmon Makita, at least throw in a free 5 ah Xgt with the saw for $299 and I’m sold!

The 40V platform isn't for making the most powerful impact driver or standard 1/2 in chucked drill- it is really for heavier duty tools that can benefit from a 40V platform like large saws, concrete tools, largw angle grinders, OPE, and other higher draw items. They aren't really for typical DIY or even light trades use, so they aren't competing in that space.
