The barn looks amazing! People forget that one man building structures on their land is how many of the settlers did things. Things did not get built overnight but they were built correctly and made to last. Your animals are going to love their new barn. Can't wait to see what you do next.
@@kalighhargraves535 well I had to rewatch to answer you. There are many reasons.. materials, wood that was not treated, soil where is placed, elements are not connected properly.. an so on. I didn’t say “is not a nice barn”.. it has its utility but definetly is not made “to last”
Oh wow, that's beautiful. That was so fun to watch! I'm a mom who designed and built my own 36x32 foot all wood constructed monitor style horse barn (with a hay loft) years ago when my kids were just little. I hand dug every one of my post holes because all I had was a manual post hole digger. I used 6x6 and 4x6 posts four feet apart and boy, this is one strong barn. I had a huge tree fall on it in the fall which damaged some of the metal roofing, cracked some of my 2x8 rafters and some of the plywood under the metal roofing but that barn held the weight of that huge tree for a week until we got it taken off with a crane. Building my barn was one of the most fun things I have ever done in my entire life.I can tell you had a great time building yours! Gonna follow to see the tour of the inside!

Did you use all pressure treated lumber? Your dogs are lazy but you certainly aren’t. It would take me at least a couple hours to build that. You did it in 20 minutes.

You do everything without an inspection as its your property to do the way you wish. You are truly an American Hero living the good life.

That is an awesome looking barn, especially with you building it by yourself. I’m sure it was difficult job on those high portions trying to hold the boards, keep your balance and secure it in place. I know you say you are not experienced but I don’t know a lot of inexperienced people who could do what you just did. You should be very proud of yourself every time you look at what you’ve accomplished. I am very proud of you! If you hadn’t had so many obstacles to overcome (weather, life, supplies and anything else that got in your way) this barn would have been finished earlier. You should be very proud of yourself every time you look at what you’ve accomplished. I am very proud of you! If you hadn’t had so many obstacles to overcome (weather, life, supplies and anything else that got in your way) this barn would have been finished earlier. But it is finished and you did a great job and I’m sure Danielle is super proud of you! Can’t wait to see the tour! Be safe and God bless!

When you started with you poles to boards l couldn't even imagine what you were thinking let alone doing even when were describing your plans but still didn't get it when you mention metal sheets for the exterior but wow l'm mowed over...fantastic finished project... barn is awesome 👌 👏 👍
