- Boring mid century modern dresser gets a beautiful makeover!
I picked up some mistinted paint at my local hardware store and it instantly sparked my creativity! I kept the original hardware because it is just so unique but needed some color so I sprayed them gold.
I added a custom base also! I followed the diy wife tutorial here's the link:

This came out beautifully! Love the color balanced with the paint wash.
Thank you so much!
Wow! Amazing transformation! Perfect color shade of repaint and great idea to renew original handles!😍
I absolutely love the original hardware on this piece. ♥️
From Don's wife - I am not a fan of washes but you did a beautiful job on that piece. The character is amazing.
Thanks so much! 🤗🤗🤗 I love the handles!
Beautiful color !!!!
Fabulous transformation! I love it.
Thanks! 😊
I can't believe it! That is my childhood dresser! It's long gone now, but the design is unmistakable. I had a matching bed, desk, and bedside table. I like what you've done with it.
that's super neat! I also saw that it had a matching desk but they don't do well for me. thanks so much! :)
@@BrickWallFurnitureGallery The desk was way too small to use for doing homework, so I never actually used it. The dresser also came with a mirror, but it was mounted with the long way horizontal to the top, so it wasn't really useful because you had to bend over to see yourself.
LOVELY
Thanks! :)
Very pretty

Thank you for sharing and inspiring ❤️
Thanks for watching! :)
I just watched another "Tuber" repurposing a desk, removing it's purple paint job. Nice job. Narragansett Bay
That is gorgeous!
Thanks! :) I'm so happy how it turned out!
@Brick Wall Gallery I have one in trying to get inspiration for and takes the cake!!
I'm so happy I have inspired you! Purple is out of my comfort zone but sometimes it's a good thing to do something different and be BOLD! Good luck with your creations!
So pretty !! Love that color 😍
Thank you! I love the color too! :)
Next time you show us your beautiful work, could you step back more from the piece so we can see the view in the room. I love what you did!
Thanks so much! This was one of my favorites to work on.😊
Are you asking for a view of my workshop? There is really not much to look at but I can do that.
Nice today, not so nice tomorrow
Ayyyyye. You did that! Happy to see you out here doing your thing. Keep it up. I know I ain't seen ya in forevvvvvver, but I always got love for y'all. Hope things are going well for ya. 😁
Jake! its been a long time! We're are doing well! I'm so glad you reached out and thanks for the support! :) hope you are also doing well.
Beautiful job you lost me when clamping the drawer I'm sure you added the clamps the other direction though but just didn't show us
I've learned everything I know from TH-cam, and I can't recall if I've seen other people put clamps the other direction. With that being said, thanks so much for the tip! I greatly appreciate it!
Turn the dresser upside down to line it up
That’s a good idea. What I should of done was put the base on before I painted and then taped it off. But I didn’t want to flip it on it’s top because I didn’t want to accidentally scuff the paint. Lol
Greetings from Quebec!!! I can't believe how amazing that turned out. There was another one. I can't remember if it was Katie Scott or transcend furniture did it from Halifax. Both really good Canadians who did a similar piece using a similar color. Would I found about yours was how calming the paint wash was.... Keep up the good work and I will be liking and subscribing this page. This is the first time I've seen one of your videos. Thank you very much
Hello! Thanks so much for all your kind words! I really appreciate your support! :) I'm super new to TH-cam, I've only released 5 videos!
I follow them both here on TH-cam, they are so talented! I do believe it was Katie who did that piece. So pretty!
What spray gun are you using? Gives a beautiful finish.
Im using the Wagner Flexio 4000. I have only every used this one so I don't have anything to compare it to but its pretty easy to use and its even easier to clean.
First
Did you use anything to thin out the paint in the sprayer? I always have a hard time with spatter. 😢
I use water to thin out my paint. Im also still leaning how to use my sprayer :D
but usually that means your paint is a little too thick still, add a tad bit more water to it. I ALWAYS practice on cardboard before spraying my piece. Good luck!
Thank you so much!💗
