Oh my God, this is so gloriously retro! I love it! The geometric paper (?) on the inside is the perfect touch. I’m such a brat that I might’ve painted each of the legs a different accent color, leaving a thin line of the base paint (with that great masking tape trick) around the bottom above the beautiful gold feet.
Now you just need the shag carpet and a couple of matching bean bag chairs-maybe a chair in each color. You’ve transported me back to a time (1970’s) when appliances and cabinets were only available in harvest gold, avocado green, pumpkin orange, and other colors that seemed to change every year.
I absolutely loved doing this project! It still sits proudly in my living room! I think I was born in the wrong time because I absolutely love retro colors and patterns. Thanks so much for watching! 😊
@@BrickWallFurnitureGallery I was born in 1968, and although some people include that year as part of the baby boom, I’ve always said that I was born in the wrong decade. I LOVE tie dye, and I probably would’ve made a good hippie.

I absolutely LOVE this paint job!! I wish you had left the insides as a record keeper though. It would have stayed authentic especially with that awesome 70's style paint. You are very creative and this is my favorite Ugly Duckling this round. ❤

Never tried bondo! I’m going to get some. It would’ve been great for the last three chests I’ve done.
I highly recommend trying it. It’s extremely durable. One thing bad about it is it stinks really bad so make sure you are in a well ventilated space and wear a respirator mask.
"Whack them out with a hammer" haha i love it!!! Your primer can sure had a mind of its own! You are very knowledgeable and talented. Youre right, art doesnt have rules. If theyre all water based, go for it. Love your spray booth. You are so brave taking on such a detailed, groovy design. I hope you are so proud of yourself. Watching you pull the tape back was so satisfying!!! Its hard to believe thats the same piece from the beginning!
