    Million thanks I have been using Pixelmator from its early inception but the lack of quality tutorial on its use for photography has not helped me advance beyond my rudimentary use for basic colour adjustments. This tutorial has truly opened my eyes to advancing my photo edit skills to the next level. Please, please more tutorials like this, especially on sharpening photos and using the ML resolution. As a bird photographer, I crop quite a bit and have wondered how to use this. TIA and keep up your great work!🙏

      Glad the tutorial helped someone! I've learned to appreciate what Pixelmator offers which is a lot for the price. I also am interested in using Pixelmator for photography. Hope to make more related stuff on this. Do check out my ML Super Resolution video where I compare Topaz Labs Gigapixel with Pixelmator.

    Great tutorial! And I particularly appreciate that you don't make many assumptions as the skill level of the viewer and just lay out the method clearly and concisely. Though you might want to mention changing the names of each area you're adjusting because that can get confusing quickly if you add more layers.

      That's true need to change the layer names! I normally assume there are beginners watching so I give tutorials in that way 🙂

    This is great tutorial, my friend! I have been wanting to learn more about this particular app. I have been using this app for a while on my Mac and it is absolutely easy. But keep making more tutorials on portrait photos. I love the ML feature of this app. Cheers mate.

    Good video - You could just have the AI select subject and click invert direct from the selection panel to select the background quickly.

    How do you do a circular or linea pattern using a shape in pixelmator?

    • @takebetterphotos8132
      @takebetterphotos8132  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi if you mean have the shapes as patterm (i.e. multple shapes) I believe have to do it manually--copy and paste the shapes to form the pattern. If you mean fill the shape with a patten, choose the "pattern" option in the fill drop down and select whatever image to form a pattern.

    Thank you so much. This is very helpful. Can you also demonstrate how to reduce a bright spot in a picture that is beyond the level of repair so to speak? I took a picture of church folks in side the Chuch. the background is brick and part of the brick has sunlight coming directly to it that I am unable to reduce the brightness. I tried to clone it but I am unable to blend it nicely. It will be nice to know how to clone and blend nicely if you can do another tutorial.

      Hi Yoseph I recommend first to reduce the exposure and see if there is still any detail in the bright spot.

      @@takebetterphotos8132 I have used most of your techniques and that helped me isolate the area that needs special treatment. I will take your advise. Thank you so very much. You are a wonderful human being.
