      Please do a tutorial about it. Is pretty different to the frequency separation workflow I'm used to. Couldn't figure it out.

      Is this high/low pass process still necessary after the selective clarity adjustments tool added in 3.3?

      Our friend Joseph Slinker has made a great tutorial covering the new workflow. You can check it out here: th-cam.com/video/lauhJN-xbEI/w-d-xo.html
      Hope this helps!

      Frequency Separation is just a classic portrait retouching technique that many photographers are used to. This was one of the main reasons we decided to add it. But both techniques work just as good and it's nice to have a couple of different options.

    By far my favorite software, but yikes that was quite too many steps, but I am pretty sure they will perfect it soon

    Looks great. I suspect Pixelmator Pro is growing rapidly on the Photoshop side of things, as opposed to the others?

  • @Geekraver
    @Geekraver ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This is great, but doesn't scale. Is there any way to save the combination low and high pass filters in a way that can be quickly applied to any image, so that you don't have to go through the work of creating the layers and effects for every single picture?

    Спасибо за урок! Отличная программа и я с удовольствием ее использую!
    Относительно ретуши, несколько смутило, что изначальное удаление деффектов кожи мы проводим грубо на том слое, который потом дублируем и раскладываем на частоты, нет ли более щадящего метода? Спасибо!

    • @PixelmatorVideos
      @PixelmatorVideos  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question! There are many different methods to skin retouching but we've found this particular one to be the most flexible, even though it isn't entirely nondestructive.

  • @joonatanrimpilainen637
    @joonatanrimpilainen637 ปีที่แล้ว

    in which order should I do this with RAW photos?
    because REPAIR- tool for example does the repairs for new separare layer and therefore messes up with the next steps.
    Should I first edit the colours, etc for the raw photo, do this and never touch the colours of the RAW photo again as raw photo.

    does ipad version have layer function?
    I don't find it

    • @PixelmatorVideos
      @PixelmatorVideos  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you're using Pixelmator Photo, it's a fully nondestructive editor, so it works with a single photo/layer at a time. Our other app, Pixelmator for iOS, does offer layers as it's dedicated to creating designs rather than editing photos.

    Too complicated compared to other apps like Affinity photo

    • @PixelmatorVideos
      @PixelmatorVideos  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The are quite a few steps to this tutorial so it might look a little intimidating at first but the process is rather simple once you learn the basics. That's not to say it cannot be improved! In fact, we have plans to include low pass filter as a standalone effect in the future and it should make skin editing even simpler in Pixelmator Pro.

  • @MrLuigisBLOG
    @MrLuigisBLOG 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    This is too complicated, why not an easier way?

    • @PixelmatorVideos
      @PixelmatorVideos  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are definitely some simpler ways to do that, for example, using the Selective Clarity adjustment. However, frequency separation is a "traditional" technique that a lot of photographers use, so we wanted to show how to do frequency separation in Pixelmator Pro. 🙏
