I’d just like to throw this out there. When Brad Treveling was appointed GM, everyone was talking about how we needed a tougher team, a scrappier team, a team that sucks to play against. I think we found that team. Like it doesn’t matter if we win or lose, it seems like we are making the lives of the other team miserable when they play us. We’re hitting, we’re fighting, we are making life hard for them and grinding them down. Sure that means we’re taking a lot of penalties but I’m really liking this fire they are playing with. It seems like the Leafs are highly inconsistent this season on their play. However as seen tonight, when they really get going nothing stands in their way.
Domi's speed and edge-work are absolutely DISGUSTING. Between him and Marner they can dance through the opposition like stars on ice. His finishing leaves something to be desired, so those breakaways aren't resulting in really high danger shots, but who cares. What a magical way to push the puck into the O-zone. Nylander looked great tonight, Marner looked good, Knies continues to look INCREDIBLE. Stolarz genuinely looked like a top 5 goalie in the league tonight (and the stats back that up, for goalies with 8 or more games he is top five in save percentage and GAA). And most of all that game wasn't as much of a stomp as the score suggests. They fought for it. They were defensively responsible. Why can't we have that every night? Why can't we have that against worse teams? Genuinely, why. The talent is all there. There's actually so much talent that the MOST talented player can be absent and they still look absolutely lethal. You're going to have off games, but the Leafs are only consistent in their inconsistency so far this season.
As a Bruins fan who discovered you from the Ayres game and does follow to this day, I owe you this one. They still do Leafy things but you smacked the hell out of Boston and Tampa and that's gonna feel superb.

Essentially, they can accurately visualize (in their head) all the players, where they are, and where they are going. Even those behind him or out of his vision, hence the modelling.
