The sudden flange in the tone, the transition to the PK knelt over with Void leaking from his eyes, the transition to the ending tune of the song, all condensed in a few seconds...
For an immortal being like the Pale King, I wonder if maybe that's how it felt to him.
One moment his so-I mean, Pure Vessel following his every step, a perfect example of what he needed to seal the Radiance. Everything bright, full of hope...
Only for an instant later he found himself drowning in his metaphorical and physical regrets, his aura of light diminished in the presence of his sins...
Jiji and the Hunter both refer to regrets as dark stains. Perhaps there is some truth to those words.

iiItsFlame Boi the vertical and last parts are the hardest to me. The vertical is my heck.
iiItsFlame Boi my advice? Don’t wear yourself out on the first and focus on gaining soul. For the other two, when one dashes or dives at you, don’t bother trying to get a hit in (unless you both dash or dive) and instead hit the second. You can heal for the slow double scythes if you stay in the middle, and jump over the fast scythes. Remember, you can take it easy once the second has been taken out and take some much needed healing time.

The best tip against the mantis lords that I have is learning their moves and don't trying to hit them multiple times if your not confident, u can dodge and hit once, when they 2 come at you, try to poggo them
this doesn't seem like a meme to me but a fricking well made animation that can fit the perfect plot of a hollow knight animated series

It starts with "Everyone makes mistakes" and pale king? I start crying
The story of the pale king is a truly sad one. Even if he may have deserved it, he tried his best to save the kingdom he tried so hard to create and to make thrive. Even though his foresight probably showed him what the radiance would do, he still attempted to delay the inevitable. For that he definitely has my respect.
"Everyone makes mistake, I've had more than my share, but it's okay 'cause I'm gonna repair it."
That line perfectly fits the Pale King. He knew what he was doing was wrong, and ultimately realized it was worthless in the end, but he did so because of his own philosophy of ends-justify-the-means. Or, as we are all far more familiar with, "no cost too great."
Was I the only one to see what happened at the end? Ah well, it might have been foolish of the king to see an ally in the void after all.

I like seeing fan content that shows the Pale King’s perspective. He obviously wasn’t a great guy but it’s interesting to think about his thought processes and how he might have felt about the things he did.
he did 1 bad thing man 1 bad thing and so many other characters did far worse he was a great king a good husband he was just a terrible dad for accual reasons he tried his best also blame other characters like radiance grimn soul tyrant and so on cause those guys are far worse

Also if you want to talk inciting incidents, The Pale King started the fight between him and radiance. He stole her domain and her followers and tried to erase her from existence by destroying all traces of her. Obviously she's also evil for responding to it how she did, but The Pale King did start it.

Clearly not, he was obsessed with power and worship like all higher beings- he made attempts to conquer deepnest, and tried to build a train to them without their permission.
He had Xero killed for speaking against him and banished Ogrim for protesting the plan with the vessels, and he claims that Hallownest is the ONLY and LAST kingdom despite that demonstrably not being true (the lands the other dirtmouth travelers came from, the lands of thunder and rain, and Pharloom being some examples) which shows his hubris.
The Pale King was a complex character, and compared to other Higher Beings he was decent. But that doesn't make him a force of good.
Unpopular opinion here : Pale King just try he's best for saving his wife, subjects and kingdom but always failed again and again until he find a way to save everyone but like all he did... It's was another failure

The lore of this game is simple yet mysterious, you feel like there are more pieces to the puzzle.. And I love that.

Damn man, thats a really good job, really captivates the feeling of hopelessness the king felt when Hallownest fell into ruin, and how the vessel started as one of the Hollow knights, but grew into the Vessel we know, but not already hollow, but a son of some sort to the pale king, which was ripped from him by Radiance. Also, thanks for the insight into some of the lore, i never really understood who the pale king was till now.

The part of the video where the hollow knight is walking with the pale king, shows that eve growing taller, and possibly stronger than him, he wanted to be the pure vessel so much he would actually keep acting like a subordinate to the pale king, which in turn led to him being corrupted by the radiance.
In the past 2 weeks, I have probably watched this over 300 times. Its too good I swear.
I just love the animation of the Hollow Knight walking. It's just so smoothly done!

I’ve actually never watched or seen gameplay of Hollow Night but I can tell this is good storytelling
The one who looks like a fork went to someone for something, they said no, so fork man went to another thing that said yes, and then i’m not sure what happens, and then the little ones are abandoning eachother
I know I'm late, but this is a basic rundown of the lore:
'fork guy' is the Pale King, and there was this almost forgotten goddess that the Pale King kinda usurped, so she got revenge and came back as this plague called the Infection. This infection was killing his kingdom, so the Pale King made these creatures called 'vessels' to seal the goddess away. These vessels were his children, and were made of Void. They were meant to be mindless, voiceless beings that existed for one purpose: Seal the infection. Well, some of the vessels weren't 'pure' (the Pale King describes the perfect vessel as having 'no mind to think, no will to break, no voice to cry suffering) and the Pale King sent those impure into the abyss to die. One vessel was pure, and the King brought them out of the void to seal the infection. The people the King goes to in the animation are the Dreamers, and they agree to help seal the Pure Vessel in the Black Egg. The one who said no was Herrah the Beast, and the King promised her a child to satisfy her.
This is a rough breakdown, and I'm leaving out parts of the lore in case you want to play it if you haven't already considering this was at least a year ago, but I hope this helps you and any future viewers to better understand what's happening in the video.
