    I feel so hurt and belittled. Constantly gaslit. Like nobody understands me. It hurts so badly, and it’s not just mental and it’s not just physical. It’s both.

    THISSSSSS. ALL OF IT!!!. I was born with VACteRL Association, a whole host of medical issues. I have been in pain my entire life. Since birth. I do not know what pain free is like and my pain tolerance is so high I don't know what to do with those pain scales that i'm always asked about. People refuse to believe i've always been in pain. So many "old people problems" I'm like "yea ... had that as a child ...." because i've learned "old people problems" really means "mostly old people but some young ones too and the young ones will not be believed". I'm sorry for rambling. Just so much yes to all of it. I'm sure not knowing i'm autistic until my 30s didn't help either.

    I have some hidden disabilities. One of them is a physical disability. I’m afraid to say it publicly, because of how people look at that certain disability. I don’t know how you’d feel if I did share on here what my disability is. I just don’t want to have to deal with ignorant people asking me ignorant questions around that disability. And I don’t want to have to deal with idiots that are thinking that I’m faking, because I’m not.

      I 100% understand and feel you! Know that you are believed here :)

      @@disabled.autistic.lesbian I might as well come out and say it then. Not only am I autistic, but I also have complex PTSD, and I’m totally blind. I know I’m probably going to get people asking questions about it, so I’m just gonna say it. I’m typing out these comments using text to speech on my iPhone.

      Well welcome! I am glad to have you! Is there anything I can do to make my content more accessible for you? Obviously you don't speak for all blind people in the world (and also educating others isn't your responsibility!!) but I feel like the one area of accessibility I really don't know much about is how to make things low-vision/blind-friendly

      @@disabled.autistic.lesbian wow, thanks. I do like having certain things described to me so I can get a better picture of what it is. But when it comes to you talking about disabilities, I think you do a very good job with it.

      @@siennaprice1351 Thank you!! I keep meaning to do a "here's what the screen looks like" description at the beginning of my videos and continuously forget but I am going to try to make an effort from now on :)

    Also what you said about zero pain… I would rather have zero pain than have to live my life like this. I respect your view tho.

    Not so fun anecdote: I'm lying on the stretcher at the doctor's office, it's the visit after the first (useless) cycle of physiotherapy, the doctor lifts my left leg, she literally puts my foot next to my head, I'm lying on a stretcher in a full split, and she goes "she could work at the circus!" I'm actually hypermobile, it's part of the reason I'm in pain all the time, but yes let's joke about how I look like an acrobat lmao

      I once had a TSA agent say "oh do you wear a corset to get a tiny waist?" and I said "no, it's to hold my hips in place" and she went "oh so you're an acrobat or something?" No, ma'am, my limbs dislocate at will and I'm tryna keep them from doin that so I can walk but obviously I'm going to try to do that in a vaguely fashionable way? I'm truly fascinated by how uncomfortable people are around disability

    but i had chronic pain and now its not so bad so for some people it does go away

    • @disabled.autistic.lesbian
      @disabled.autistic.lesbian  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      that is true! For some people it does go away/get better for sure, but I find the vast majority of people think that's the norm and therefore think I'm lying

    I’ve been in pain for years too. Recently changed my diet away from being vegetarian. There’s a lot of misinformation about food out there. Check out Dr Anthony Chaffee’s TH-cam channel and see if that resonates with you. I’ve slowly been able to come off of medications. I believe you and can relate to what you’re saying. I’ve had horrible experiences with seeing doctors too. Keep your head up. Trust in yourself. Check out Dr Ken Berry and Dr Shawn Baker. It has worked for me thus far.
