A good tip I got of my mum was to rub the skin with vinegar then pain flour it’s a old school trick from back when if the lamb was a bit green takes the smell away and the skin will come up crispy 🎉
Thanks mate This channel must be the greatest sauce of knowledge on camp oven cooking , what a fantastic thing you have shared with us all . Great men share the knowledge of a life fully lived👍
I had a crack at this yesterday at home using heat beads and while I didn't quite nail it, geez it was bloody good. A couple of tweaks to the heat next time and I reckon I'll get it right. The lamb was near perfect and I'll give vege's an 8 out of 10. Thanks Mate. Love your videos
Thank you, I really appreciate all the support im getting for my videos. I dont really run classes, the closest I get is demonstrations live at the Caravan expos I am employed to work at. You can see a list of where they are and where I will be on my calendar on my website. Cheers. www.campovenkitchen.com.au
@@campovenking Cheers mate. I'm recovering from a serious illness and spend a lot of time watching TH-cam. I've only recently come across your channel and watching you has put a spark back into life. Sorry to read you don't do catering anymore, but we all need to rest occasionally. Looking forward to seeing your future videos. Thanks mate. 👍
yeah, I had a copyright claim on the background music used in my videos so we are going through them and redoing with different music. Means I lose the watch hours and all the comments on the originals but cant be helped.
That was a sensational cook up. I'll definitely give that method a go next time. I get that you don't want to reveal all your secrets, but those coals moved and changed quite a bit throughout that cooking session, so it's not as easy as you make it out to be unfortunately.
God damn that looks good mate.

I can't remember what I did that night, but I'd normally do a sauce with oven juices, cream and red wine.
