@@SimonFordman I agree - there are a ton of videos out there of old junkyards but your videos make us feel more like we're getting the excitement of the experience more. Seeing random details and whatnot. It's great.
Your vids do, indeed, tell the story with panache (at the expense of the occasional filter lol). Thinking outside the box is a gift with photography and vid work. Loved the napping junkyard pickup, for example. If ever I get my old Cabby out of its barn home back in Tennessee and drag it up here to North Dakota so I can drive it on our one day of summer, I'll be giving serious thought to documenting it all in similar fashion. Enjoyed this one from your archives!
These "no commentary" car repair videos are fantastic; this is a niche that is not currently available (at this quality) on YT. Looking forward to more!
I gotta admit this is a lot better than Mortske repair or the Polebarn garage channel where they talk and try to be funny more than fix old cars. A different genre with those channels I suppose. This one is the caliber of Watch Wes Work or some of the older Buddy’s diy videos in my view.
Yea, a lot of the channels just brag about all the stuff they have.I have some stuff but would never be a show off. Makes me sick.Butbthe most humble is my son. Man he treats everyone the same and most people don't even know he's doing well. The king of humble.
I'm 65 now, but I remember going to the same boneyards to keep all my rigs in good working order way back when I was 16. It makes me feel good to know 49 years later that a young guy can still do that. All the old boneyards I went to are all gone now. Your Vlog brought back good memories. Thanks
My favorite TH-cam channel. I’m 19 out of West Virginia and have a 1980 Ford F-100 300, so I can always find great entertainment in what you post! I love that no nonsense, quality air to your content. It has so much character. I don’t often comment at all, but I had to since discovering this channel has really made my week. I find myself relating to you quite a bit with your adventures haha. Keep up the great work! Was even junk yarding myself for window cranks and an old Ford AM radio just the other day
One of my favorite channels for sure. I love the style of filming and the old Fords of course. And that LS Galaxie is killer . It seems like more content lately which is great

Winter sucks but going to the old scrap yard during this time of year is good in one way, NO DAMN DUMP BEES!! which I always seem to find in warm weather.
Love those Minnesota winters. Dip stick heater, put the battery next to the radiator near the back door. Pray you won't late for work! The bone yard was a trip down memory lane. In Milwaukee in the 60's I went to a yard on the Northwest corner of the city, near Butler. If you reached for your wallet when he told you the price, he would tell you it wasn't for sale. If you were willing to pay his ask, he figured it must be worth more than he was asking. The best move was to dump the stuff on the ground and walk away. Then he'd be ready to deal.
I know others have said this. But your production sense is highly evolved. Your editing skills are excellent. Not to mention your mechanical skills. I throughly enjoy your content.
I am really digging your style and the work you put into these old rigs. I own an older Mercedes diesel wagon, and the dash lights are notoriously dim, and the rheostat spring fails like yours did. I just jumped a wire on the rheostat for full brightness. I have also used Deoxit to revive electronics, especially volume knobs on older radios. Great stuff to have on the shelf.
👍 Hello from UK 🇬🇧 I like what you doing there By the way, on that park yard … you had opportunity to get some good parts from your old Ford truck 🛻….. Especially a rear back side wings… who’s so rusty … And that good quality chair -- 😊
I'm getting such pleasure from your style starting with the GE Spacemaker coffee maker and lasting through problem solving, often through several iterations before finding the solution that worked. The lack of commentary and the attitude you project creates an ambience I find refreshing.... makes me feel good inside 😌 thank you for all the work creating these videos.
Great job! I’m in my 60’s and still working on old Fords 45 years later. Watching you work is like seeing myself when I was younger. I still do it, but it’s not as much fun as it used to be because I can’t bend like Gumby these days, and when I skin my knuckles, it hurts. But what the heck, I still love it. Thanks for posting, you are a great cinematographer.
You might get you some old used transmission fluid and coat that truck frame that stuf works excelent in stopping rust on frames i do it to my old trucks.
Rohner's in Willmar. Long drive but always worth it. I found some great stuff for my 70' Duster. There's a 68' Road Runner buried in a ravine just to the left when you were on that first path. You missed the 71' F250 Super Duty a few years ago...put in a drive shaft and front glass, you could have driven it out of there. It was running...someone dumped it there. 🤟
Just think, each and everyone of these vehicles was someones pride and joy once, and all the happy memories and trips, holidays they shared....Such sad places really.

In Russia, such a place is called a car dismantling center. You have to buy everything there, it's really cheap. But they'll carefully remove the spare part you need, clean it and pack it. There are no such car graveyards left. They are then cut up and sold for scrap metal.
I haven’t been to a bone yard in Florida where they would allow people to drive up to the part vehicles . There are some that charge a fee to enter and then stamp your hand. Some provide Wheelbarrows but that place you went to was really worth the drive.
