Clash Royale's "Pro Tips" series continues on CWA Mobile Gaming. Today we'll take a look at a new but throwback version of a Hog cycle/bait deck that uses the newly buffed Barbarians! It's a fun 3.1 cycle deck that always has a defensive answer! This deck is 100% F2P friendly using no Legendary cards and also no epic cards! It's easy to upgrade and works very well in arena 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12! Enjoy and good luck!

CWA, if you play spear gobs one tile towards the outter sides of the arena close to the bridge, they will do considerably more damage, left uncontested

I appreciate the no epic or legendary cards, but it sucks not having enough gold to upgrade my cards to try these decks on ladder. After 4000+ trophies, if your commons/rares aren't close to max, you are at a big disadvantage.
you can get to 4300-4600 if you stick with one deck, i am running pekka control because i can always put in meta cards. i have my only lvl 6 epics in there and my only lvl 9 rare in there(rest are lvl 8) and even though im not very good im at 4300.
lvl 2 legendaries no commons in my ladder deck.

Great video, great content as usual Ash! In your 1st match I think you did an excellent job showing how to switch up your placement defensively. Anticipating how/when/where the opponent is pushing and then defending it in the most efficient way possible... that's 1 of the variables that separate a good player from a great 1. Just got my hog to level 10 so I'm gonna try this deck out, thanks a lot ash!
I used a similar deck in may/june 2016 with miner instead of bats and stab gobs instead of gang. That deck even worked decent against goison but wasn't happy with the win rate after goison hit the arena so changed deck. Two decent pushes in one deck, hog+support/spell or spear gobs and miner to keep pressure, oh I miss those days.

Ash it's actually cool to see you getting better and better at the game :) Your mechanics are really solid and you do also keep track of your opponents elixir and card cycle, which can be pretty hard sometimes :)
Dude I agree, I used to get annoyed watching Ash play because I felt he just wasn't as good as the pros on the channel, but in my eyes he has gotten very good. Switching up his defense and knowing his opponents cycle. WTG Ash!

Hi ash! I love the way of living the strategy of mobile gaming... I’m a free-to-play player and I don’t miss a video of the channel because it’s a great way to improve and to enjoy more the game... I just reached the challenger one but I’m a little bit struggling on getting higher because of the cards’ level. But I have a deck that even not leveled is good in my opinion, I would love to have a feedback by you (though I know it’s impossible I’ll put it in any case)

Ash - I’d love to see a video on interactions of card leveling. Such as max level vs 12. Like 13 arrows can kill 12 archers. 12 ice spirit can’t get to a 13 tower etc...

I’m just wondering about an earlier vid you posted it would be nice if you could please respond to this: U know your 2.9 hog trifecta u shared a few weeks ago well it was amazing and it got me to arena 9 as level 7 but do u think it works at 4K+ with level 10 hog level 8 Valkyrie level 10/11 cannon level 10/11 ice spirit and skeletons level 8 muskey and fireball and level 11 zap? I’m wondering because if yes I’ll use it on my higher account and push ladder there too. Thanks keep up the great work ash!

Can confirm, ive never really used them but ive got loads of gold still from the triple challenge so I leveled barbs up to 13 for the purpose of trying this deck for fun, currently 6-0 in ladder at 4.9k

Im still not used to the reduced tower damage on spells when im about to finish a game off with a spell i always panic and question if its enough
Imagine this, throwing the fireball and the snowball simultaneously will fuse both together and be used a combined 6 elixer spell. I think its a dope idea.

I think it was deserved and will also still be viable. People tend to overreact to balance changes at times (myself included). Mortar will still be solid!
That first match from Noah was actually insane. I don't know if I've ever seen a match played so well.

You should try to link up with rival cinema from crucible wrath. That foo is top 100 two seasons in a row and hasn’t even capped 1000 wins on his player profile. That’s insane if you think about it.
Yo, I played Tal today, he was ranked 741 when I played him, he played that 2.6 hog cycle deck, I was playing that triple spell hog deck you featured the other day, he beat me 0-1, but it was fun.

This gold rush over the weekend has allowed me to witness a few things about ladder at 4000-4250 cups.
1) Most opponents are level 12, which is very difficult as a level 10 as they can actually ignore a lone hog off the start and we will have even tower hp
2) Deck construction is very wonky, some decks are quad spelle-barbs, others have 4 hog counters (really fun for 2.6 going up against furnace, megaknight, tornado and bowler in 1 deck) and no win condition decks
3) If you have lower king tower levels, you are more likely to get spammed off the start since the princess tower can't actually handle things like max goblin gangs etc.
4) Players are generally unaware of counting elixir and tracking cycle, still.
Regardless of the mini rant, nice vid ash, at least some people can rock hog rider effectively.

Ben O'Neill yeah, I am a lvl 11 using 2.6 hog and it's absolutely ridiculous how many overleveled players there are. I swear it's getting worse as well, I seem to be be facing more and more max epics. I've just given up on upgrading the rest of my deck to try and get a max musk so it won't get killed by overleveled fireballs
Yeah I feel you, I can actually get my entire 2.6 deck to lvl 12 king tower standard besides my log, and I have the gold to do so. Thing is that will just make me part of the problem and I'm not sure I want to do that. Heck, I actually have started throwing games to really overlevelled players in hopes they chain a winstreak and go up a couple leagues so they leave the rest of us alone.
