Welcome to the Fandom. It is a lovely show and your reaction is great. I subbed. Try not to look up too much about the show because you will be spoiled, there are things in season 2 you want to enter into blind if possible. That said, if you have any questions I am sure myself and other fans will happily clear things up. What is probably worth knowing is that season one is based on a very popular book of the same name, that came out in 1990. David Tennant who plays Crowley is just pure hotness, but Michael Sheen who plays Aziraphele is just delightful and grows more and more precious. It is nice when you have a show where both actors are providing just as much weight. Michael's subtle acting and facial expressions is a master class, and Crowley's hips are hypnotic.

When you referred to Crowley (formerly Crawly in the Garden of Eden) as a fallen angel, you were correct. In this, demons are fallen angels... but some fell more than others. While some demons embrace evil, Crowley isn't really interested in it. He only does what he absolutely has to look like he's actually doing evil. Crowley would rather just spend his existence hanging out with Aziraphale than do Hell's bidding. He just puts on a show of doing evil, because as he said in the beginning, he can get in trouble if he's caught doing good. And we can assume getting in trouble with Hell involves a lot of pain, so he has to be sneaky about any good he does. I love Crowley and Aziraphale, and David Tennant (Crowley) and Michael Sheen (Aziraphale) do a phenomenal job in both seasons, and they have a fantastic bromance off screen. Their interviews together are great to watch, and they even did a show together "Staged," during the pandemic where they play exaggerated versions of themselves on Zoom. There are clips of "Staged" on TH-cam. Getting back to the characters of Crowley and Aziraphale, though I love them both, if I had to pick a favorite, it's Crowley. He's the innately more kind one of the two. He's the poor sweet baby, I want to wrap in a blanket, give him the comfort beverage of his choice, and tell him everything's going to be okay. If you haven't watched it, my first recommendation would be the Lord of the Rings trilogy (Extended Editions). They're beyond wonderful and there's a huge crossover between fans of Good Omens and Lord of the Rings. I'm pretty sure you reacting to LoT will bring in new viewers and subs. You can try by watching the first one: The Fellowship of the Ring - Extended Edition (it has to be the extended editions, otherwise you won't get many views. It's an ardent fandom and they "demand" it, - also they're the best versions. The theatrical cuts exclude many important and cool scenes. I hope that helps! Probably the biggest laugh I got out of this show was when a Chistian group sent a protest petition to Netflix for having this show. Since the show is on Amazon Prime Video, they were mercilessly lampooned when Netflix quickly acquiesced and promise not to air this show.
