      I’m getting one that runs but some issues with hydraulic system we don’t know what yet. But it’s 5k with 35** hours. Do u have experience with these? Is that a good deal?

    • @hddoug72
      @hddoug72 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If properly maintained, that Kubota engine should last you awhile.
      The hydraulics are the big ?. But if you're going to do the labor... there are parts and resources available.
      I may add on maintenance... that ujoint between the pump and engine is often neglected.
      TH-cam and the skidsteer forum are your friends.
      Good luck

    The cage is actually suppose to be charcoal not gloss black. They are a big job to paint and never use the paint from the bobcat dealer. Their paint is crap. Also a good idea to weld bucket tilt stops to the arms to prevent over tilt from heavy attachment such as a grapple bucket. I have seen the tilt cylinder rod bent into a banana. Some have even jerked the end cap off the cylinder.

    • @IntoTheDirtshop
      @IntoTheDirtshop  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep I knew that, we decided not to invest in the bobcat charcoal and didn’t like any other color match options, so we just went with gloss black

    an even more easy way to paint your rims is to put grease on the tires. once the paint is dry you can clean it off with a high pressure water cleaner. Works amazingly well

      xp3085 defintely that’s the best way to get a good finish. I actually have links to all the paints I used in the description. They aren’t from Bobcat, but they look pretty close and in my opinion and have held up well.

    Nice work. I've got a new to me 743 that I am doing deep maintenance on. I like your choice of Rotella T4 10w30 oil for the motor. I have been reluctant to put 10w30 motor oil in the hydraulic system as per the manual if the preferred Bobcat hydrostatic fluid is not used. I am very interested in your choice of NAPA AW-46 Hydraulic fluid (PN 85-805). Have you used this before in these machines? Thanks in advance.

  • @KenMrKLC

    Looks good, too bad you put the blue stripes and 743 on by measuring off the back even… they actually don’t follow that line… they should be 90 degrees from the frame above the wheels…. So the 743 ends up parallel with the “fender” line… yours ended up angled back on the bottom of the blue stripe. In a way it gives it an aggressive look I guess… but yea lots of work doing these.

    hey do u know is it possible to run a sweeper with bucket on these old bobcats? im buying a bobcat and i want to be able to sweep and collect the gravel, dont want to buy and older machine if its not gonna work with this attachment. thanks

    • @IntoTheDirtshop
      @IntoTheDirtshop  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You just have to look into the hydraulic flow rate required by the attachment. Certain machines, especially the older ones were limited in flow and may not run some modern attachments

    • @rayrooney1
      @rayrooney1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Into The Dirtshop thanks yeah I’ll have to investigate the flow rate. But I was just thinking ya know how ya operate the attachments with the right lever side to side. Would I be able to drive forward and spin the brushes at the same time? Probably a stupid question I’ve never had one of these machines before.
