We keep blaming the fall of emulation on that Guru guy. But let's face it. If it wasn't him, it would be anyone else. And Nintendo are ALREADY attempting to use the Yuzu settlement as if it was precedent that Switch Emulation is illegal. This is an abusive company that doesn't need any help in finding ways to abuse the system and will have no qualms to do it. Ultimately, it doesn't really matter if a precedent is set. Change the law, end the precedent. It's as easy as that and considering the raising popularity of "Retro" content a lot of us are getting old enough to be able to pressure politicians into this, it should be time we start putting some work into it.

How can wukong win goty when it stutters every other second on pc and looks like a smeary mess on console unless 30fps mode, which is not good. Astro bot deserved it because the game is fun, smooth and polished throughout.
100% of the switch games I bought this year were because I emulated them and liked them, so I bought them. Guess this is another reason Nintendo doesn’t want my money.
Black Myth Wukong wins are perfectly fine and they should be happy they won in 2 categories. The best action and players' voices are actually pretty good. And it's not like the game is suited for a broad audience, it's still kinda niche tbh. But Astro Bot is accessible for a wider audience and it's also a well-made game.
i also wonder why do they think THEY would win if not astro bot? they keep acting like they got robbed as if there weren't several other nominees just as successful and deserving of goty
"Astro Bot is accessible for a wider audience". Bro. it's a Playstation exclusive Elden Ring won last year and it was the same genre as Wukong. Wukong is even easier than Elden Ring so it's more "accessible" for casuals. GOTY is obviously rigged.
I have the App and every game I open now is in 4k and I only have a 2k monitor so I don't know what is going on but yeah I'm hating this new NVIDIA app it's horrendous.
Okay, the common theme in all those reviews about Sonic Superstars is that the bosses aren't fun to fight. On top of the fact that it doesn't look like game that should warrant a full 60-80 price tag. Hey Sega, learn from your mistake, it's that simple. Xfce 4.20.... heh. It was the desk top environment on my first ever Linux device, the Open Pandora portable computer. The team that modified Linux for that device made it super simple to use so there was never any learning curve coming from windows and it remained pretty much the same for me for years which is really the only reason I have any fondness for it. I don't know that I would switch to it today over current options like KDE unless maybe if I had no choice. I'll be honest I think I downloaded the Nvida app but just never installed it, now I'm kinda glad I didnt. Then again I'm trying to move towards using my Linux PC in the coming year where I feel lucky I'm even getting Nvidia drivers, so I probably shouldn't worry too much.
sonic superstars was meant to be a multiplayer based game but at the end, the only online part of it was the battle mode which was just some mini games & that's all. the game main story mode was ok but the rest...The trip story & that unclear final boss was unnecessarily SUPER hard like, you need to collect at least 700 RINGS to defeat that final boss which is a record idk why they don't like to give classic characters some dialogs after sonic generations, & hardly trying to tell the whole story like that but anyway the game looks good at beginning but the more you go, you'll also see more empty areas in stages they've tried to make it like "sonic mania 2" but at the end, this is what we do have Now the choose of price & release date was nothing new so yeah there you have it
Emulation isn't going anywhere. But I do think we have to fight together. & mention about them being hypocritical by them using emulations with their products.
It's not about them using emulators The problem lies in the American legal system where a big billion dollar company can just sue smaller emulator dev teams whether they have a case or not and the smaller team having to bend their knees to whatever the company says because they don't have the money to pay the legal fees And them wanting so much control over their already sold hardware Also, if the company just did better preservation and ported their older games over to modern hardware but they can't even be bothered to save their video game's source code
Again why does Nintendo not understand this, the emulators are not illegal since they don't offer the product keys with their software (from what I understand). Nintendo wants to push this agenda so much. Can people circumvent their security measures? Yes, but yuzu (and probably ryu) does not offer the user any product keys in their software. So if the user illegally downloads them, then the user is circumventing this not the emulator itself.
I'm a Sega and Sonic fan. but... Sonic Superstars was a mediocre game to begin with. They want to innovate by adding things that the consumer didn't ask for, I mean... compare it to Sonic Mania, and the president of Sega will have his answer as to why. Give players what they want, not what you thought would be good for consumers. in fact, while sonic mania is retro, but has a creative soundtrack, every time sega creates a new 2d game of its own (like sonic superstars, sonic 4 etc) they play those songs with megadrive drums, as if that would make the game will be like the classics, in some way. anyway...
And still no sign of MP4 Maybe it will end up being cross platform after all... On Switch 2 and switch 3 simultaneous release 😂

Best action game for Black Myth Wukong is absolutely deserved. Unfortunately, in all other categories other choices where more fit for the prize. I was only really surprised (not in a good way) that Astro Bot got game of the year. I was sure it would go to Metaphor: Refantazio or FINAL FANTASY VII: REBIRTH.
I think Astro Bot deserved it. It stood out way more for being a really really great 3D platformer in a console generation where those barely get made. Action RPGs, like FF7 are a dime a dozen.
Wukong was mostly played by Chinese...I don't know a soul that has played it. However, all the other games, especially Astrobot, all my friends and those with families too, have played it. Not everyone is a fan of souls like.
🔔 Heads Up, Gamers! 🔔 Just wanted to share some crucial info about Steam: when you buy games on Steam, you're not actually buying the game files outright. Instead, you're licensing your playtime, which means you don’t legally own the game files. While there might be unofficial ways to keep the files, they aren’t DRM-free naturally. Essentially, you're renting your games and "units sold" is a bit of a misnomer, as nothing is truly sold for your money. You’re paying for playtime, not purchasing a tangible product. If you want to actually own your games with no DRM and keep your files, GOG is the way to go. It's not perfect, but it definitely offers true ownership of your purchased games. Game on! 🎮✨
@@SRC267 there was no misinformation there. You don't own games on Steam, you own licenses. On GOG you can download offline installers for your games that you can keep forever. Are you all daft?

back in 2016 i bought a 1070 and instaled on my brand new pc, and played some games nicely, then i discovered that there was an nvidia app ge force experience, so i installed it, the app requested to configure to optimize the performance but it was the other way arround, the app screw everythibg up, it became unplayable, i unninstaled it right away, and yet it didn't revesed 100% the issues that it caused...
I use the app only for the automated overclock(work good for all my games), Intel have a similar software with APO(limited to specific games)
No pc network test feelsbad I get why but still
Unfortunately every game guru kind of shot himself in the foot because in most states you can’t discharge debt if malicious intent can be proven. So any judgement made against him is likely to follow him for the rest of his life
1:36 Photoshop? Looks more like MS paint to me 🤣
Denuvo: Yesss keep paying us to keep our protection even if the game isn't all that good. Pay pay pay!
I think it's funny how the CEO thinks his decisions are good and sound yet has Denuvo on many Sega titles besides Sonic Superstar long after it's been released.
How can wukong win goty when it stutters every other second on pc and looks like a smeary mess on console unless 30fps mode, which is not good. Astro bot deserved it because the game is fun, smooth and polished throughout.
Sonic Superstars looks fun enough. But I'll only consider it if Sega removes Denuvo.
you can just .. keep the app installed for what you want and kill the processes to get performance when not
100% of the switch games I bought this year were because I emulated them and liked them, so I bought them. Guess this is another reason Nintendo doesn’t want my money.
They would stick with LCD horrible how else can you charge for the switch 2 Pro
about NVIDIA, it's probably recording thing, try turning off ''instant replay''
Overlay.
@parcosmaulo1 you mean elden ring?
"Astro Bot is accessible for a wider audience". Bro. it's a Playstation exclusive
Elden Ring won last year and it was the same genre as Wukong. Wukong is even easier than Elden Ring so it's more "accessible" for casuals. GOTY is obviously rigged.
@@medzawesomeness69430enough souls like having goty, not everyone is into souls like
@@drinkwoter explain Elden Ring lmao
I have the App and every game I open now is in 4k and I only have a 2k monitor so I don't know what is going on but yeah I'm hating this new NVIDIA app it's horrendous.
I love XFCE! ❤️
its probably because of ansel being auto activated with the nvidia app
I hope the work on xfce never stops. I love that little desktop environment.
No OLED? Thats suicide at this point.
I just use the nvidia app to download driver updates easily
I bookmarked their link.
Then again I'm trying to move towards using my Linux PC in the coming year where I feel lucky I'm even getting Nvidia drivers, so I probably shouldn't worry too much.
sonic superstars was meant to be a multiplayer based game but at the end, the only online part of it was the battle mode which was just some mini games & that's all.
the game main story mode was ok but the rest...The trip story & that unclear final boss was unnecessarily SUPER hard
like, you need to collect at least 700 RINGS to defeat that final boss which is a record
idk why they don't like to give classic characters some dialogs after sonic generations, & hardly trying to tell the whole story like that but anyway
the game looks good at beginning but the more you go, you'll also see more empty areas in stages
they've tried to make it like "sonic mania 2" but at the end, this is what we do have Now
the choose of price & release date was nothing new so yeah
there you have it
So Retro Emulators be okay But anything that Comes out after Switch be Basically Illegal?
the problem is losing to astrobot, a "fan service" base game....
Astrobot is an exceptional game. It fully deserved to win.
Uninstalling Nvidia app did save me some frames
Emulation isn't going anywhere.
But I do think we have to fight together.
& mention about them being hypocritical by them using emulations with their products.
It's not about them using emulators
The problem lies in the American legal system where a big billion dollar company can just sue smaller emulator dev teams whether they have a case or not and the smaller team having to bend their knees to whatever the company says because they don't have the money to pay the legal fees
And them wanting so much control over their already sold hardware
Also, if the company just did better preservation and ported their older games over to modern hardware but they can't even be bothered to save their video game's source code
@@dm.3145 Yikes, that makes sense. & exactly.
15:38 Hardware Unboxed did a video saying how amazing the Nvidia App was..they must have got a nice big cheque for lying. The UI is awful :S
A Playstation exclusive winnng GOTY is definitely fishy. Buy hey, it's the The Game Awards.
I'm running a laptop with a GTX 1060 and I honestly ain't seeing a difference in performance since installing it.
"Sonic superstars is a disappointment" a bit harsh but yeah the game is quite mediocre
Fun fact about you Hi When is your birthday 😊 your helpful and funny sometimes
I'm a Sega and Sonic fan. but...
Sonic Superstars was a mediocre game to begin with. They want to innovate by adding things that the consumer didn't ask for, I mean... compare it to Sonic Mania, and the president of Sega will have his answer as to why. Give players what they want, not what you thought would be good for consumers. in fact, while sonic mania is retro, but has a creative soundtrack, every time sega creates a new 2d game of its own (like sonic superstars, sonic 4 etc) they play those songs with megadrive drums, as if that would make the game will be like the classics, in some way. anyway...
And still no sign of MP4
Maybe it will end up being cross platform after all...
I like sonic superstars !
Any rich man any at all, please fight Nintendo
xfce 420 blaze it edition 🥳
Nintendo was always have his own head.

Just wanted to share some crucial info about Steam: when you buy games on Steam, you're not actually buying the game files outright.
Game on! 🎮✨
