The RPCS3 team is truly amazing. I have no words. RPCS3 is so good, not perfect yet, but really good. And now savestates. I love this on the PCSX2 emulator. Only downside is when it gets an update and you need to save every game ingame. I truly hope RPCS3 can get almost 100% of games fully playable in the near future.
I still prefer the alpha versions, with each release the performance only gets worse, I have a decent CPU for wipeout HD and it becomes very unplayable with the current updates, same happened to Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection ONLINE, the performance is only plummeting!
I am grateful that they have put so much effort into preserving games for a system that even Sony can't properly emulate. And with the amount of exclusives on there that could've been lost with time, all that work they've done so far is really paying off!

I always was wondereding why there wasn't a Lego Goldeneye 007 or James Bond game since there were Lego stuffs for pretty much any popular movie franchise (with various films). Good to know that there was plans or a pitch idea for one but sucks to hear that it didn't come to fruition.

In the 80s and 90s, there were films for an older audience such as "Rambo", "Robocop" etc, and producers made cartoons (with the violence and story toned down, of course) for younger audiences. So maybe James Bond isn't so absurd to have a Lego game XD (I remembered another example: remember the R highlander films? There was even a cartoon series for children!)
God, this is why Wiiviewr and I would love to see "Quality Assurance Testers" type of people come back to gaming. QA people actually made sure the game worked for a company to make sure the games ran well instead of buggy as it is today.

i think Lego 007 could have been a nice little game. How unfortunate. It has also been way too long since the last Bond game and MGM goes out of their way to kill off fan games and remakes. 🙄 I wonder if the next rumoured Bond game to be in development by IO Interactive will end up coming into fruition? I think IO Interactive could make a good one, especially with how the Hitman franchise has similar but also far more polished game mechanics. I can't seem to get save states to work on rpcs3. I tried doing what it tells me to but doesn't seem to help. Doesn't matter what game i try it on. Never works.
for rpcs3 they need to focus on ppu compilation before running games. It is ridiculous that MGS4 needs 3 to 4 hours to compile ppu or whatever it is called. A solution to this is to offer an option whether to compile or to download compiled cache (secured with hashes fo integrity) before running the game.
The way someone in the emulation dev community explained it to me was (and maybe I'm over simplifying it but): downloading pre compiled shaders are that it can change depending on your hardware, so the one you download might not even work for your PC, and then it's almost as frowned upon as handing out roms because it's like decrypted data so people have to be cautious about offering it.
Elad has already cut the compilation time for mgs4 in half. And you picked the only game in the entire PS3 catalog with a problem. Not even VSH.self (The PS3 interface) takes as long as mgs4. If you have an S tier CPU the compilation for mgs4 is closer to half an hour, maybe 45 minutes. Your cpu may not be recommended to play MGS4 enjoyably at this time. Emulating the PS3 is difficult. Besides that Savestate functionality coming soon is just adding a parameter to existing functions and hooking up the buttons. Happy Thanksgiving break. Christmas break is in 3 weeks.

well i didnt play the arcade tangram (didnt even know it existed) but i played the more classical tabletop version as a kid, and i must say that game is quite challenging and brain hungry
LEGO James Bond would've still been better than LEGO Horizon, because James Bond has such a long history, that it's a franchise that's easy to recognize. And kids would still be familiar with it through pop culture references in other shows. But because there are so many movies about Bond, the challenge would come in which movies to adapt, or if they were tasked to try something original, that is both faithful and entertaining for young audiences.
I worry less about Sony buying From Software, and more about Sony buying Kadokawa's anime and Manga empire - so Sony buying the whole business would be a worst case scenario for me.

My biggest issue with the new Indiana Jones game is that it's the 400th game where the protagonist is just Troy Baker. I understand why they can't just get Harrison Ford to do it, but Troy Baker? Again?
That isn't really how it works when you're a publicly traded corporation. The more companies start wanting a piece the more the price goes up. If it becomes a bidding frenzy someone is eventually going to come away with it no matter what the company itself wants unless maybe they put a freeze on their stocks, but investors want to see profits so doing that might cause reduced confidence in the company. Tank the stock price and that makes it even easier for someone to buy them out. At least if they enter into a contract they might be able to dictate terms of the sale.
they are publicly traded, they legally have to allow ANYONE to purchase shares, thats what PUBLIC means, you only get the right to decide who buys if your private (like Valve)
Kadokawa I propose that this Kadokawa is split up for purchase, so all major companies get their part they are interested into. That way Kadokawa is sold in its entirety as they wish, no company gets too much and all companies get the part they want or need. But that requires all parties to come together and make a deal... I bought the Lenovo legion go just this September and I already had to clean the fan out once and the screen has a white burn in spot on the left side even though I had it on Balanced settings to keep tempatures lower and it is very noticeable on a white background. Not a fan of the virtual typing not working well with Warframe f2p mmo, have to buy a keyboard pretty soon after Xmas so I can chat to people.
So yeah I won't ever buy any of these gaming handhelds again as they seem to get too hot for the screens they are using or some of the other companies that had issues such as rog ally having micro sd card overheating issues, problem is these things are too small and the heat doesn't have anywhere to go with only 1 fan in these things is a very stupid design flaw. I will be buying a gaming desktop in future only as even most gaming laptops die in like 2 years by getting too hot and/or are eveb more overpriced now with lower hardware than used to be gtx 1660 now kost bring sold with a lower end graphics card you know the gaming laptops under $1000, now you gotta pay around $1100+ for decent performance where as you could get better performance sith gaming desktop for around $800.

MS could "throw money at the problem" and Buy Kadokawa but the Japanese arent too fond of MS, plus they've done that for years against Sony and it feels like they're tired of it when they claim Sony "beat" them. Sony _Group_ are the ones listed trying buy Kado, so it's more than the gaming division just trying to buy out From Soft which makes sense because Kadokawa is like 4 or 5 companies itself which would make it a steal at 4 or 5 billion, if they paid 3 billion for Bungie (who I'm not sure has been a great investment yet). Tencent could be the darkhorse though with a bunch of Chinese money and potentially several times worse for Kado then either Sony or MS for that matter due to censorship concerns. BigPEmu's new controls aren't that different from what a lot of mobile games have tried in the past. Maybe for games like Myst it makes sense, but they haven't really improved regular games. Lego James Bond would have been cool, what a loss.

I just wanted to come and say that I have finally found a Linux distro that works for me I will be installing it on my gaming laptop at some point and get back into gaming on it again I haven't been on it in a long time because I'm absolutely sick and fed up with how broken and slow and demanding windows is (it's Fedora OS I've currently got it installed on my work laptop because windows just kept on borking everything and I couldn't get anything done and it's never been so quiet the fans still haven't turned since the installation and it's been on my blanket the whole time that I have been using it I highly recommend this distro it's very very very easy to install it comes with a tool for windows to make a bootable USB and you can choose your flavour but not all of them are bootable though which sucks)
I'm proud to say I don't own a single game that has denuvo. And my steam library has got to be well over a thousand games. Then theres gog, which for obvious reasons, will never have denuvo.

I propose that this Kadokawa is split up for purchase, so all major companies get their part they are interested into. That way Kadokawa is sold in its entirety as they wish, no company gets too much and all companies get the part they want or need. But that requires all parties to come together and make a deal... Which is less likely to happen than .

I bought the Lenovo legion go just this September and I already had to clean the fan out once and the screen has a white burn in spot on the left side even though I had it on Balanced settings to keep tempatures lower and it is very noticeable on a white background. Not a fan of the virtual typing not working well with Warframe f2p mmo, have to buy a keyboard pretty soon after Xmas so I can chat to people.
So yeah I won't ever buy any of these gaming handhelds again as they seem to get too hot for the screens they are using or some of the other companies that had issues such as rog ally having micro sd card overheating issues, problem is these things are too small and the heat doesn't have anywhere to go with only 1 fan in these things is a very stupid design flaw. I will be buying a gaming desktop in future only as even most gaming laptops die in like 2 years by getting too hot and/or are eveb more overpriced now with lower hardware than used to be gtx 1660 now kost bring sold with a lower end graphics card you know the gaming laptops under $1000, now you gotta pay around $1100+ for decent performance where as you could get better performance sith gaming desktop for around $800.
Sony's greed knows no limits.

FLUFF! I don't think she was expecting the Kiss, lol! MS could "throw money at the problem" and Buy Kadokawa but the Japanese arent too fond of MS, plus they've done that for years against Sony and it feels like they're tired of it when they claim Sony "beat" them. Sony _Group_ are the ones listed trying buy Kado, so it's more than the gaming division just trying to buy out From Soft which makes sense because Kadokawa is like 4 or 5 companies itself which would make it a steal at 4 or 5 billion, if they paid 3 billion for Bungie (who I'm not sure has been a great investment yet). Tencent could be the darkhorse though with a bunch of Chinese money and potentially several times worse for Kado then either Sony or MS for that matter due to censorship concerns. BigPEmu's new controls aren't that different from what a lot of mobile games have tried in the past. Maybe for games like Myst it makes sense, but they haven't really improved regular games. Lego James Bond would have been cool, what a loss.
I saw many videos like this on Dante's Rant Room like a week or two ago, and it's not a good sign that Sony is trying to buy Kadokawa!
To make things worse, not only Sony is trying to buy Kadokawa/FromSoftware, but Sony is trying to buy Mario and Luigi Brother Ship devs, Aquire!

Because Sony is like 5 or 6 different companies. Their motion picture division is a single part of that giant tentacle monster and they don't control all that money. Also Sony Pictures has always had poor decision making skills in movie production. At least until Spiderverse, but it sounds like they're looking to screw that up too.

I just wanted to come and say that I have finally found a Linux distro that works for me I will be installing it on my gaming laptop at some point and get back into gaming on it again I haven't been on it in a long time because I'm absolutely sick and fed up with how broken and slow and demanding windows is (it's Fedora OS I've currently got it installed on my work laptop because windows just kept on borking everything and I couldn't get anything done and it's never been so quiet the fans still haven't turned since the installation and it's been on my blanket the whole time that I have been using it I highly recommend this distro it's very very very easy to install it comes with a tool for windows to make a bootable USB and you can choose your flavour but not all of them are bootable though which sucks)

I'm proud to say I don't own a single game that has denuvo. And my steam library has got to be well over a thousand games. Then theres gog, which for obvious reasons, will never have denuvo.
