He was positive I would buy that Gehl when he returned my 706 but my finances didn't allow it. (meaning after paying the bill on my 706 I darn sure couldn't afford it )

Some time ago, a farmer friend of mine from Madrid, NY had a Gehl Skid Steer loader very similar to your older one. He was out picking rocks in the field one day getting ready for spring planting. He had a bad leg and every once in a while he would stretch his leg out to the side to help ease the pain. One day, while picking rocks, he must forgotten what he was doing because he stuck his leg out to the side and lowered the bucket pinching his leg between the skid steer and the loader frame. Needless to say it didn't end up too well for the gentleman. "SO" glad to see that your new Gehl has the cab. Enjoy your new purchase and stay safe my friend!! Well Al I hope you enjoy that we have a 3640 here got a three cylinder yanmar 34 horse it was set up for narrow work so it has narrower taller tires on hard to get stuck and we really like it it's narrow bucket and narrow tires built for a smaller machine the next size under but it has the bigger motor so break out force is really nice and it's got the narrow bucket it'll fit in our box stalls and so on but within their tires we can take it to the woods if we're using it say to feed logs to log splitter or something like that good relatively trouble-free machine we bought it new 10 years ago with about 1100 hours on it now and it is really something that I don't know how I got along without so I hope you enjoy it wish you the best of luck with it
A new toy!! Check out The Oliver Guy Chris Losey on YT. He just added auxiliary hydraulics to his Gehl. This machine have the same tires as the old one? Florescent tape around the tight spots may help.
How is your moisture level? We are quite dry here straight north of the border from you. We got some much needed snow and rain early last week. A bit more today.
If you do you will enjoy it I have two pieces on my farm that I wasn't sure I needed when I bought them that I would not be without now and they sit side by side in the shed most of the time when they're not in use and that is my side by side UTV and my skid loader on our cow calf operation here in Western PA I don't believe I could get along without either of them get yourself a good one cuz you don't want to be without it once you have it
The neighbor I worked for bought a brand new 4625 in 1997. We really thought we had something then! It was a very good machine for them. Ran that and the 4610 well over 10,000 hours.
That's a nice upgrade!! Does seem funny not seeing the open cab unit, but a huge upgrade for the farm!! Looks to be really nice!! I hope y'all get lots of.good use from it! Good purchase! If you update again sometime, I would recommend staying away from anything with a tier 4 engine. The emissions stuff and all the electronics are terribly unreliable on used machines. All states ag parts probably has auxiliary valves from salvaged machines
Hey Allan I am really glad you got your new skid steer especially since it has the roll cage on it. You will really enjoy it they are one tuff piece of equipment and yes I am pretty sure you can add the hydraulic outlet on it . Back when I farmed I had a 2041 Mustang skid steer looked to be the same size as your Gehl except it had hand and foot controls it had the kobota Diesel engine in it I was told that the Mustang was built by Gehl and it looked identical to yours. Nice, clean looking unit. The previous owner treated her well. Hopefully you get many years of trouble free service. We have three pieces of Kubota equipment where I work and the Kubota diesels have been bullet proof for us.
I had two gehl over the years very good machines just remember to check the oil in the final drive they can leak into the chain case i learned that the hard way very expensive mistake great vedio
Congrats guys, those were good machines and that one is in really good shape. Even if GEHL no longer offers the aux hydraulics you should be able to source the parts from a wrecker or aftermarket
Nice purchase!! 2900 hrs on a good diesel is nothing. It’s just getting broke in. I drive a 2000 model Ford F-250 7.3 Powerstroke diesel. Just rolled over 378,000 and it runs like a top. Have a question. When you were showing video of those shop built forks, what was that bird carrying on in the background? Made quite a racket.
That's quite a machine you have, it's even equipped with a Kubota engine too, Kubota are good brands as well, can you get the hydraulic hose at O'Reilly's or just from the factory? I watched the Wtfarmgirl channel yesterday and she bought a TYR I can't remember what brand tractor it is. But it got a backhoe and a front loader, check out her video, its quite a tractor too, is Gehl part of Massey Ferguson you know, I don't know much about the brand
I think I can get all the hoses made if I need, Gehl is there own company, they use to make a lot of different farm equipment, but now the just make, skid loaders , and a few other pieces of construction equipment.
I know you already do this but we taught my brothers kids from the start to never approach or get near the back of a skid steer, no matter what, in a barn, barn yard or an open field., don't care if their butts on fire, don't do it. Only time you get near it is from the front. Again, you all are safety aware I know but the cab on a skid steer changes things big time, operator can only see so much and the beeper is only so loud. Safety Sally moment done :)
That's a very nice unit! The bigger bucket would be good for snow also. I'll bet the cows love digging through the corn bedding to find kernels to eat.

You'll really like it, I've always been around gehls and the only issues we've had was surrounding the key switch.
Definitely needed this upgrade. If I could have picked one thing you need the worst would have been a skid steer.

There's a dealership in princeville, ill, german bliss equipment. They show the aux hydraulic and prices so it might still be available. Looks great
