Watch the video last night was telling my dad about it during morning milking. 30 minutes later the sprocket fell off our cleaner drive and the pump wedged it in the valve hope you got yours working
Sorry To Hear About The Manure Pipeline Clogging Up Again Will Be Saying A Prayer For You Alan Hopefully It will Open Up Easily And Start Flowing Blessings And Please Be Safe ✌️
I remember a classmate putting in a pit 20' from the barn. They used blacktop for the floor of the pit. The problem came when the only way to get to the pit was next to barn where pipe was buried below. The dump trucks crushed the pipe so it had to be dug up and replaced. Part of the pit could be emptied into a tanker by gravity. One year while trying to fill the tanker the knife shutoff stuck partially open. What a mess, DEC got involved and it wasn't pretty because the outflow flowed into a small stream. A fix to the problem afterward was to to put in a 2nd knife shutoff. Good thing you caught it before winter. Count your blessings.
That brings back memories. When i was a kid we had the same setup. It would plug at the pump and we would have to pull the pump then me and my brothers would go head first down the hole to unplug it. Not a very fun job.
Don't know if you use circulation powder to wash your milk plant line but a good dose of it used to get our drains from our slats going. It made everything very slip and kind of soapy.
You have great videos. I love to watch a family farm and operation. I love it when your son gets a hold of the camera. He does a great job yeah always have great content. Keep up the good work.
I remember how much work that you and Connor put into that mess. Not exactly the smell of money that you were looking for. Awhile back I had asked you about our old barn that didn't have a barn cleaner and you thought that it must have been cleaned out by hand. As it turns out, there was a manure trolley system in the barn at one time. I found the old trolley railing on the ceiling of our stanchion barn. I don't know if you have ever heard of one of those but it must have beat carrying out all the manure by hand or cart. I hope the best for a good outcome.
Hii Alan .as you repaired the pipe in the barn .i write at that time to you :" take new pipes with 8 or 10 inches .out of the barn from the pump and lay them complete new to the lagoon !! This is now a nightmare too .😮 I know .when liquid manure system will not work . Could you not lend a Vakuum manure tankwagon from a machinery dealer ? Then could you take out the manure in the barn .for the days .when you repair the pipe . Best greetings from north west Germany from Bert .
Get about 5 gallons of prune juice, and pour it in the sump! 😮 In all seriousness, you may well have a hole in the pipe going to the pit, or the check flap/door allowed solids to back up in the pipe. None of which are pleasant. I have to say that I probably enjoyed (not in a humorous way, but appreciated the work you have to do) more than you did making the video. Best of luck with it, and God Bless y'all!
Well that's a hell of a note. At least it's in the summer when the cows can stay outside more. Ours stay out overnight (some people don't do it that way) but anyway. Hopefully that doesn't happen too often. Roto Rooter time??
Sorry that this happened again. I milk 8 jerseys and 8 goats and a mennonite family makes cheese and a couple other things for sell at their market. I use straw and haul all the solids out to a manure spreader and all the liquids get pumped out into a liquid spreader but my pipe is only 16 ft long its never given me any trouble. I don't know if that would work for you or not but it's an idea. I know you have alot more cows than me and its alot more work I hope this helps
Man that sucks 😕. Is there any feasible way to put a chute outside the barn? Not that hauling a load every day is any fun in the winter lol . Good luck with everything 🤞🤞👍
I so much want to give my opinion, suggestions. But I won't. This stems from work and having to resolve issues so troubles won't occur again, or as often. Was hoping to hear, "Thar she blows!" Maybe the next one.
I worked for a jetting company and had a job at 1200 head dairy farm. They had a major plug in the main line and couldn’t get it going. We had a super sucker with a jetter. We put a vacuum on the main and tried sucking backwards towards the pump. Sucked for 30 seconds and heard a loud whistle noise and the line was flowing. Dumped the super sucker and had a aborted calf 🤮 Turned out a cow must have had twins and one didn’t make it and it somehow managed to get into the grating and into the pump No one could explain how it happened. I hope you get it figured out. See if the jetting company has a camera they can run down the line and hopefully get some answers.
Sorry for your trouble. Maybe those custom guys should set themselves up with suction and blow out equipment that could be used on pipes so they could offer this service every time they pump a pond. Would make good business sense for them and peace of mind for the customer.

That stinks! Hope you got it going again!
Barn cleaner, manure handling, very dairy farmer’s biggest headache. Good luck Alan

I hope you get the clog cleared out and don't have a bigger problem with the pipe, best of luck.

Praying you clear the manure pipe!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Boy having problems you don’t need . Best of luck and God Bless
Wow, it never ends. Hope and pray things work out soon. Thanks for letting us know.
Hopefully, this will be a lot easier than the last time. Wishing you the best of luck
❤😊SLICER GIVES THE FIELD A LITTLE AIREATION WHICH IS GOOD ❤😊
Sorry to hear about that, Alan. I hope you can get it fixed easily.
Always enjoy the videos. Good luck with the manure pump. Was hoping when do did all that work a couple years back you would be trouble free.
I wish you the best and God bless y'all a lot 🙏
Sorry about the manure problem🙏. I do want to see you fixing it!
I hope you get it fixed soon.
Thanks for sharing, i hope it gets figured out without to much time and money.
You have great videos. I love to watch a family farm and operation. I love it when your son gets a hold of the camera. He does a great job yeah always have great content. Keep up the good work.
Good luck getting it going again!
That bites,Trinity Dairy, I remember when you did the job on the pipe to your pit,
Another very interesting video Thank you
Hope things work out 🙏
I love it when your son gave a double thumbs up video when they were spreading manure anyway

Yeah, I've seen those before, I think they worked pretty well.
I think the phrase, if you aren't fixing, you aren't farming, applies pretty well. Good luck this time around!
Good luck, God bless Alan
Sorry about your problems. Love this Christian channel. I like all you equipment.
Good luck.
Some of the first videos I watched on your channel was when it was plugged before. I hope you are able to get it taken care of without any trouble.
Not again! Hope it's nothing major, but if it is I bet you can fix it twice as quick as last time!!
I'd tell you to keep plugging away but you probably don't want to hear that at this time 😂😂😂. Thankvfor another good vid.
My buddy had the same problem, his was lime and corn cobs from cleaning mangers ! I would stop throwing your prep towels in the gutter
That really sucks. Hope it can be a simple fix.

I've been looking for a vacuum tank, but haven't had much luck, no dealers around here that have anything like that.
I had a barn shovel accidentally fall in the gutter never knew it was there went into the pump and was stuck in the trap doors
i guess better now than in the dead of winter

Be safe
The dip in the line is called " being back pitched '😮
That's a bummer. Seems like there's always something! 😠
With the lagoon fairly full do you worry about ground water so it wouldn't contaminate your well water.
No, it's clay lined.

Maybe a liner in the pipe

Possibly a manure auger.
Not something you want to deal with. But you might want to do this and fall and spring. How much rain over the summer?
Online, it says we've had almost 2 feet of rain to date.
We always hire a city utility truck to come and unplug ours when we get our pit empty
I'm going to guess that you'll be able to break it loose with the pump bore opened up. At least I hope so.
That stinks about the manure pipe problems
The pumping guys show up and make a poop smoothie...
thats why you never concrete a pipe in use cdf you can dig it up
The original one wasn't concreted at the base of the pump, and the pipe cracked.
I hope you’re manure repair is not costly
That system seems like a total pain I think I would like to haul every day wouldn't play with this system anymore
Jetting that pipe sure looks like a shitty job😊
your best bet is to snake the pipe with a turbo nozzle on a power washer hose.
I so much want to give my opinion, suggestions.

o'my
Oof, thats not fun.
The barn looks great inside! Have you whitewashed recently?
Yeah
👍👌❤🇨🇦
Could your custom guys hook up to pipe end and possibly suck the plug out?
No, they don't have the equipment for that.
Sorry for your trouble.

Shitty job, but somebody's gotta do it.
I know it's a nuisance for you but make for good watching. Adds drama and suspense to the channel.
So it sounds like it's a giant size aerator for your hay field instead of your lawn to help promote growth
