He's adorable. I bet he does his job. I had a mini Jersey bull 36-38" & i had a standard or normal size Jersey cow. He got the job done.😊 luke & them should discount him just because of his size. 😁
Where there is a will there is a way, I’ve seen a jersey bull smaller than that get Holsteins in calf!

Seamus will do the job. Might need a running start but I have faith lol. My dream would be a small holding with highlands of every colour and a few other animals. Sadly will never happen so I'll have to live vicariously through you.

Lawns is just around the corner from my mum and dads! I used to buy all my meat, milk, veg, and snacks from there every weekend when I live in the UK!. It’s a great place and there festival is amazing. Great people even bought a cat from them wish it was a Highland Cow though 😂

We ended up with a small bull on the dairy but he did the job, but only time will tell. I go for 4.

Highlands have no value grow forever just to reach half the height of a normal cow. The vet says the most prone animal to get pneumonia

Your females carry 50% (average) of genetics… Sire carries the other… you are selecting for a ‘rare’ recessive genetic trait.
Likely 1 in 8 to 1 in 16 will
approach the colour you desire… but without knowing the genetics of your females, it could be as little as 1:32 or even 1:64 …, and some a shade softer than your current ladies… the black could be no change to grays or even the blonder shades

Why didn't you put hay into the back of the trailer to so he could lie down on the way back?
95% of animals never lay down in trailers or lorries when transported because they would roll around and they feel more stable stud as they can spread their legs and keep themselves steady. Horse trailers for example have barriers call partitions that give them support and a bar that goes across their chest and bum for them to rest on and hold strady
