I am not defending her, I am just saying no wonder she was the way she was....she was her mother's and advisors golden egg!!!
@@sonvyaduncan you said that so very right, her father and his brothers had to marry quickly to produce heirs, so she was conceived in an oddball way. Thank you so much for your response ✌️❤️
Victoria had a half brother and half sister from her mother's 1st marriage. The sister grew up with Victoria for a while, though her brother remained in Germany to oversee the family's lands
They're all so mean to each other and the poor children. Sad.
They really weren't...everything negative is always highlighted.
What a horrible, horrible family.
She was intelligent but not because she had to follow a rigorous education curriculum, but because she was clever
Other children are born into the same family and have same rules but they are not intelligent
Chrone s disease? First time I heard of it.
Its a real disease.
Really? It’s quite common worldwide.
Its spelled Crohn's.
Video 2 hours long, and that’s just the daughters 🤯
In many ways, the daughters are more interesting than the sons. They actually were people and had lives outside of being the wife of “so-and-so”. I just finished watching the video on he deaths of the sons and except for King Edward VII and Leopold (with his hemophilia), the other two are really boring. One had a long career in the Army, the other the same in the Navy. Not much to say about that.
Princess is pronounced as one word, not two.
After listening to the history of this family Harry and Meghan had a right to move out and move on with their life out of the mess.
They did have that right. If only they had really moved on. I do believe that Harry wanted out. But, his wife and he have trashed the RF, non-stop.
@@kayhathaway6956 as she should, she was treated bad
Of course they had the right. However, they don't have the right to hurt people who cannot respond (without it becoming: they say, they say). They could have lived a private, classier life, too. They are happy to use the titles if it brings in the funds, it seems! That's NOT the royal way.
Couldn't agree more
I thought Princess Vicky was 14 and him 27 when they met?
Excellent.
Princess Vicky wondered why her son was fretful? She tied his good arm behind his back! She committed child abuse because she was embarrassed about a handicapped child. The horrible things she did, off her own back! Not doctors advice. That child woukd have been traumatised for life!
Indeed. And he grew up to hate her. However, before his birth her in-laws treated her badly. She was desperate to fix him.
This is a whole bunch of bad news. Yikes.
It was rough to say the least!🤓
Awful. Not exactly how you think of Princesses when you’re a little girl.
Victoria was a nightmare of a mother and mother-in-law. So selfish.
Alice's daughter, Victoria Of Hesse, survived diphtheria. Her oldest daughter, Alice, was the mother of Prince Philip( husband of Elizabeth II)
Queen Victoria appears to have been a very terrible mother. She does not win, "Mother of the year award." What a shame.
Fun fact if Vicky had ascended to the throne we wouldn't have had WW1 and WW2 because kaiser bill would have been king of the uk
The first part is a maybe Kaiser Frederick I (or whatever he name was) was more liberal and willing to listen to Britain’s demand for parity in ships and talk the Balkans out of war. So maybe. Kaiser Wilhelm II was never going to become King in UK. He had too many people ahead of him and Britain nor Europe would not accept a personal union between UK and Germany.
@@b1crusade384 no .by the system in place now (the eldest child)he would ,Vicky was the eldest child her eldest child was wilhelm the old system was the eldest male no men then eldest girl .but as is know the government would after force the issue but it’s very difficult ie Edwards abdication and forced exile (keep out of the way and out of the press) the same with Harry (his wife won’t shut up so they closed the purse) but a Union of politics then no but remember Australia does not do what the Uk wants neither does Canada or New Zealand there is no Union of politics but there head of state is going to be Charles (unofficial he his it’s just the formality of coronation to come next year) fyi the point I was making how would the Uk feel if the USA again went to war with Canada and the position of the monarchy if the Uk sided with the USA a very difficult question and answer but it would have been the same dilemma for Germany and the Uk or more non partisan the Uk backing Australia against New Zealand or visa versa ???
@@redrb26dett Sorry, that's incorrect. The male primogeniture was in place at that time, so only her brothers were heir to the throne.
@dr.eckhardschmidt5039 Victoria's daughters were in the line of succession but came after their brothers and their children that is known as male preference primongeniture as opposed to male only or Salic law
That’s not a fact.
I think princess Alice is that most beautiful of all the daughters. Most of them looks like they are always at the gym nonstop doing biceps.
The year is 2022 and I find so many paralels between Vicky and another Dutchess brought into the family. Vicky was not accepted by her husband's country until the day she died.
But there was a big huge difference
Vicky and her husbands hands were literally tied when it came to reform until they became her father in law died and even then her husband ruled for 3 months until he died of cancer
That duchess is entirely responsible for how she is being received .
Good grief, can't even comment about a particular duchess in peace! It's psychotic how emotionally invested some of these weirdos are over people who wouldn't even spit on them if their asses were on fire.
@@angiewoodward4166 so was Vicky, how about that?
I hope you are not alluding to the Sussex person. That would be a terrible comparison to Lovely Vicke
The eleven year old child and adult man were getting on brilliantly......good grief
The fact pubic was more concerned about her looks than the fact she was getting groomed by a grown ass man.
Wow these royals are something else!!!
Yep. With the knowledge we have now, anyone eligible would run a mile. In fact they did when the RF were scrabbling around looking for someone suitable to marry Charles. Poor Diana drew the short straw.🤣
Probably better to research how words are pronounced, like arithmetic and epitome.
Interesting topic and information but unfortunately the narration is disjointed and monotonous and pronunciation of some words is very poor. Disappointing
Great content but...it would be great if narrators of these videos took the time to learn proper pronunciation of the English language, for heaven's sake. So many mistakes in this one...and I'm not referring to differences between British and American pronunciations.
I agree , it detracted from an otherwise informative presentation ,
It makes no difference.. The content is what is important surely?
I take it you speak the queen's English?
You are just being overly picky, no need for it
The errors were errors in American English, too.
Even Wilheim was mispronounced. In English and in German.
And lamented, and sibling
Alice's Father came and got her.
I always thought a lot of hate came from England against Germany. Until today. Asnd they are the USA whisperers......do it NEVER stops. Describing us ad huns. Neesis......basbykillers....gutteral language.....rough.....you name it....i am old know......i watched that. But they do have USA....that what counts.....they until now dominate I. USA entertainment.....ni shame
Princess Victoria was most beautiful ❤
I can understand why Louise was worried for her weight, but just like her mom over indulging she went the opposite and obsessed with staying small. They are both disordered eating.
Queen Victoria was a very complicated and fascinating woman. Like most people with these characteristics, Victoria was selfish, bossy, rude, conceited and in all truth, simply not a nice person, but quite interesting.
poor sound
Families…
The narrator’s voice is sooo annoying that makes difficult to stay focused
Thank you, glad you enjoyed 🙂
Her voice is okay, I think it’s pretty nice actually but that being said, she does needs to practice her narrative skills a tad ;)
@@PastPeople is this sarcasm 😁😁 hope so.... I happen to think your narration is great. Keep up the good work
@@carmenismyname I can imagine it's not easy doing narration, and to be perfect impossible.
@@lporquai9048 hehe 😉 thank you for your support!
No wonder Wilhelm was so angry with all of that torturing to which he was subjected throughout his entire childhood.
Everything fits perfectly…
You lost me with the background music. I watched your video about Victoria's sons and found it interesting and informative. But, with this video, I can't listen to it with that background music. Consider re-uploading without that.
Being addicted to opium doesn’t help with healthy pregnancies and babies.😫
Queen Victoria childhood
Just could not get through this video because of all the grating mispronunciations. What a shame.
Do not every one to happy from photo
What is ‘arith meh tic? Goodness me, your pronunciation of certain words is execrable. Epitome is pronounced ‘epitomee’.
There is no such thing as a Russian Arch Duchess..
Yeah really. Grand Duchess would be appropriate.
Good grief, so many errors.
That's ROYAL Not VOIAL!! So Many Words Mis-Pronounced!!
eh-pit-oh-mee
And Wilhelm. And Friedrich!
Oh dear!
Changes nine…
Its an amazing video❤ don't read those comments
ANNOYING NARRATIVE VOICE..
Funny that the German monarchy wanted to married into the Russian Royal cause their monarchy was stronger. Well what monarchy is still around today?
It surprises me that these women’s education weren’t put as a a priority. It shows their ignorance. How sad. They were at the crest of the world’s influence, and the caretakers squandered it! No excuse for their lack of vision and fortitude !
Don’t be disingenuous. You know perfectly well that education wasn’t always a priority for daughters anywhere.
Music drowns out the voice, disappointed can’t listen to this !
Omg the voice on this is horrid.
I thought all Victoria's spoke German. wasn't that used in the family?
No, of course not. English made them sound refined, german made them sound coarse. But they did speak german to other germans.
Mixing and mingling…
Have u told Victoria gouramma princess of coorg and adopted daughter of queen Victoria????? U forgot???? She converted a hindu girl from India and made a Christian.....
???
I did not know that queen Victoria wat so selfish.
