- This is my 16x 7 enclosed cargo trailer, I use this hauling and storing my dirt bikes. I epoxied the floor with grey epoxy, flakes and a clear coat. In this video I go through the floor and show how it's held up over the past 14 months.
The epoxy I used:
Epoxy: amzn.to/3E1W3W7. I used the 1 car garage kit, I wish I would have done the 2 car kit for better coverage
Clear coat: amzn.to/3Ru6W65
Noco plug port: amzn.to/3N8bwXM
Noco Onboard charger: amzn.to/3NmvDBu
Here is the video of the process to put the epoxy down: • Enclosed Trailer Trans...

I used the Rustoleum Rock Solid Garage Floor kit, and a Clear epoxy on top!
I did 2 coats on the floor and baseboards in the garage area of my 53" inclosed racecar hauler. It was the best thing ever and has held up well for 5 years now.
That's awesome!
I'm actually epoxy my new 2023. 7'×16' cargo trailer.. and I'm putting 2 coats on mine. 1st coat is on and next coat tomorrow with the flakes. Thanks for the update on your floor
Yes! 2 coats is the way to go! Good luck!!
Thanks and have a good weekend
Good to see the epoxy coating held up, I would never have thought about it especially over OSB, job well done.
Yeah it's held up great!
Nice. Just got my 1st trailer for bikes, so learning lots of ideas.
Nice! The epoxy floor turned out great. Here are some more of my ideas: lighting th-cam.com/video/HbBu5K9tzlY/w-d-xo.html

Thanks for the update! I was hoping to find someone that has had it installed for some length of time to see if it's worth it. Looks Great !!
Yeah definitely worth it! Thanks for watching!
I was thinking it would be difficult to was mudd and dirt out from withing the etrack??? I'm still contemplating hiw to orientate for dirtbike. Specific few places for flosh D-rings or etrack (for the strap holding with wide angle side .
Thanks!
Thanks for watching. Good luck with your build!
Did you do anything to the sidewall? As you mentioned that you wash it out with a pressure washer. Does the water soak in to the sidewall doing a wash out? Would you recommend going up the side about 4-6 inch?
I just painted the sides, it might be a good idea to take the epoxy up the sides to provide better water protection
Do you think a 1 car kit is enough for a 6x10 or should I look into the 1.5 car kit?
I'm looking for something to put the floor of an enclosed trailer that will get used some for ice fishing. Do ya think double coat plus double coat of clear would hold up to ice cleats and chains on 4 wheeler?
TIA
I would do a rubber coin floor instead
hey how long did you wait to put clear coat on after putting down the grey epoxy with the flake ?
I waited 1 day
Would you do this if you were using the trailer for moving purposes? I’m wondering if someone was to drag a cabinet or so against the floor, would it last. What are your thoughts there?
I'm not sure if it would hold up
Where did you get the table to the front
I made it. It’s a piece is plywood cut the shape of the front, resting on a tool cabinet
How do you think it is when wet? Is it slippery?
Yes it is
Hi
Is the 1 car garage kit enough for 2 coats on a 7x16 trailer?
I just enough for 1 coat on the bare wood. I should have done 2 kits and that would have looked better, but you can get away with 1
when you attached the etrack to the floor did you just screw into the ply or did the re enforce from the bottom?
I screwed into the metal cross beams
Did you drive this around at all? I’m looking to do this on my rv but my concern is the lack of flex/give with epoxy
Yes, I've driven it around for two years now and it's been fine
@@Myksgarage this is awesome to hear! I was looking for a video by anyone who had redone their rv floor with it and having found a darn thing. Glad to know it might work!
Is it slippery since you hadn’t added the sand texture? Not sure if I would add the clear coat if I I did two layers of the epoxy. Do you think the clear coat is necessary?
It does lock in the flakes, but the would recommend adding the sand texture to the clear
If the floor's wet, do you slip around walking on it?
Yeah alittle bit, I should have added the non-slip additive
Do you use that Home Depot stuff .?
Yes! Here's the video that shows the product and process: th-cam.com/video/qprYFAHi--A/w-d-xo.html
Is that non scared
Not sure
