Key is the ethernet connection. This will not work over WIFI. Follow this method exactly and it will work. Thanks Haakan!

I have a Phoenix Smart and I didn't get a wall power adapter to power the mdci on a bench. I did get a clip and lighter power source. Is that normal? I have to update it under the hood or inside a car? But then how am I going to get a Ethernet cable to a vehicle? Was I supposed to get a wall plug? Or is there another way to power it that I am missing? thanks

Hello, the cable required to power the MDCI Pro is a standard 12V DC cable (5.5*2.5mm). Please note that this is not a standard part of the Phoenix Smart package. You can purchase this charger from a local store. Additionally, you can connect the MDCI Pro to a car to perform the update. Please be aware that an Ethernet cable is required for both methods

Hello, the MDCI Pro of Phoenix Smart and Max support j2534, it's compatible with ODIS and Xentry, but doesn't support Porsche Piwis at present. Please contact us on messenger or email support@topdon.com to know more details if you are interested. We're happy to help.

Hello, regarding the J2534 update, it's recommended to check the following information:
1.Check if the operating system of the computer is WIN10/11. Currently, the J2534 driver only supports WIN10/11.
      2. Please disconnect the USB cable and reconnect it. Sometimes this helps the driver to recognize the serial number.
3.Please do not run OE software when updating J2534.
If the steps above don't help, please contact support@topdon.com to seek technical support.
