Nice one man! The car example is my style of modeling back in the days. Would be great to have 3ds max's surface tool modifiers to make this workflow even more procedural :P
Very impressive set of changes with tones of long anticipated tools and features! 🎉🥳 Should I stash nodes trees on my current modeling projects before updating to the new version?
As much as I like this, Id like to see some inovation on topological modelling that would help to focus more in design rather than topology. I think if there was a mode to draw base shapes in style of Plasticity, Id be completely sold.
Modeler for Houdini is getting really advanced have you considered making turning this into a standard alone app in the future? Maybe for iPad. Nonetheless this is an amazing release and I greatly appreciate you for making modeling in Houdini easier for us all.
This looks great. what's the difference between the $100 or $500 one? I'm and individual does that mean $100? I have a perpetual license because I like to own my tools. thanks
Honestly, sideFX should just hire you to make their modeling tools. This resolves one of the few fundamental issues in Houdini: proceduralism isn't great for this type of poly modeling.
Are there any features that this lacks in comparison with other DCCs that people typically model in like Maya or Blender? Strictly speaking about features related to direct modeling of course
There are no limitations. The main goal of creating the plugin is to make direct modeling as convenient as in other well-known programs. However, the procedural nature of Houdini can make even the direct modeling process engaging and unlike modeling in conventional programs.
Hi Alexy - ive sent a couple of emails to your gmail address regarding a purchase I made a few days ago on the older version. Can you confirm you've received it.
THANK YOU. Once again single handedly over coming Houdini's only weakness and turning it into a triumph.
This is so freaking brutal.... Developer is a monster 💀 congrats
Looks Insane Alexey!!! Congrats to the new release!
Thank you!
looking forward to learning this great tool all over again. thanks for all your hard work. i'm very impressed and excited to see what i can create!
Looks amazing Alexey. You have done so much since the last time we spoke.
Well done.
Thank you man!

Congratulations on the much-anticipated release!
Just an amazing release Alexey! Can't wait to upgrade.
This looks nuts!
This is most def. a game changer
Just bought it! Thank you so much I got 2024 a few months ago and love it worth the upgrade! (Also just got soft boolean!)
it looks beautiful. And let's not forget to throw in Alexey's Soft Boolean package too which is awesome.
Outstanding work, we are so back
I'm so in, bought it and firing it up.
Looks awesome!!!

Amazing updates!

Should I stash nodes trees on my current modeling projects before updating to the new version?
yes, you need to delete the history because the nodes have changed

Looks wonderful 👏 Is there an xray display mode? Solo object functionality?
Magical!
Looks like better than blender
Its not hard being better than blender. Wings3D is better modeling program than blender.
@@amigarulez And yet people still use it for manufucturing.. ie Rhino
Is it possible to have a in depth video showcasing the tools and how to use them accordingly?
some up-to-date videos would definitely help inspire new users

Great job, keep it up!!
Amazing!
Why sidefx dont buy your addon ??
Houdini could add modeler, axiom and mops+ and ship houdini 21 and everybody would be happy I think!
daamn
WOW
is there a documentation somewhere ? There's no tutorial or guide anywhere
Omfg!! Awesome
Great can I upgrade from my previous version, if so, how?
check you e-mail
@@ModelerHoudini I did not receive an email. I bought it several years ago, and I am interested in upgrading.
会出一个类似功能演示,入门操作类视频教程,以方便初学者快速上手该插件的?
This looks great. what's the difference between the $100 or $500 one? I'm and individual does that mean $100? I have a perpetual license because I like to own my tools. thanks
Yes, the $100 license would work for you.
@@ModelerHoudini that's really awesome. thank you thank you! bye bye modo
Is there any sort of training/tutorial/documentation videos for this new version?
When i bought this version, did i get future updates? I mean 2 years after ,when houdini 23 released, can I use this without any update fee?
It looks like this would be useful for retopo work, can anyone comment on that? I’d love to be able to have a good retopo option right in Houdini
wow

They have said ages ago they don't want to resurrect the Model SOP.
Is Soft Boolean part of the Modeller addon?
no, soft boolean is a separate addon
Hi! Can I use indie version of plugin, if I have houdini fx? Project will be converted to indie?
Hi! No, for Houdini FX you need the Studio version
Are there any features that this lacks in comparison with other DCCs that people typically model in like Maya or Blender? Strictly speaking about features related to direct modeling of course

@@ModelerHoudini Just bought it and enjoying it so far. There is no inbuilt point weld function right?
@@illuminations-vfx you can use the houdini point weld tool, but polypen is much better wor welding point and edges
@@ModelerHoudini Awesome, thanks :)
@@ModelerHoudini Is there a native equivalent to the new Quick Shapes tool introduced in 20.5?

yes
