One of the Modeler users recorded a good video for beginners. At the same time, I wanted to show beginners some of the many approaches to working with hard surface models in Modeler 2025.
Modeler 2025: Duplicating Keymap

This video demonstrates how to create a copy of the Modeler keymap for editing. In this way, you can create a copy of any keymap. After creation, two files are generated in Houdini's settings folder: one stores the keymap, and the other contains the changes. By selecting the Reset/Reset All option in the hotkey editor, you can reset the keymap to its default state.

Soft Boolean 2025: Panel Tool

Panel is a simple tool that adds a copy of the active node and sets its mode to Intersect, while the original node is set to Subtract. This allows you to have two Soft Boolean nodes: the first one with the cutout and the second containing the cutout itself. These two nodes can then be merged using the Merge Nodes tool, resulting in a paneling effect.

When the mouse cursor is outside the geometry, the highlighting of the component closest to the cursor doesn't work correctly. This is a very old bug in Houdini. In other programs, this works properly.

Houdini: Improve Viewport Shading

By default, Houdini's geometry display settings are not as good as those in other programs. However, there's a solution. You can adjust the default material settings and headlight lighting to improve the viewport's geometry perception. Houdini 20.5: Sculpt tool issues 3

If you switch to selection mode from Sculpt mode using the button on the left panel, everything works fine. But if you switch to selection mode using the hotkey 'S', the selected polygons are not highlighted in the viewport. Also, switching from Sculpt to selection mode using the 'S' key causes an error message to appear when selecting the Brush parameter.

When the rotation happens, press "esc" just like @1stGarden mentioned. Then you can just create a new "Scene View" and close the old one. That is at least my work around for now.
does it have limits in Houdini Apprentice?

@arcanacom, Alexey, those new tutorial recordings you both provide are real game changer in my perception of what modeler can do. @@ModelerHoudini Sorry for being so annoying but this plugin should be very KNOWN by now!, you're making an amazing job but not that good selling it.........(don't make me buy it and make Great tutorials with it!) hahahah, take some time to model random stuff from scratch just that....specially if that's your final UI design. I'm Sr subdiv modeler with exp in everything else except Houdini, and the only reason I want your stuff is because I see you're a good old school modeler, I see patterns from xsi, modo, silo, max, maya even hexagon, all at once, (my actual dream tool to work ultrafast), on top of that you choose the best platform for it..........awesome

As much as I like this, Id like to see some inovation on topological modelling that would help to focus more in design rather than topology. I think if there was a mode to draw base shapes in style of Plasticity, Id be completely sold.

When you start following exactly step by step these Exercises against your other Main modeling tool you start understanding how well optimize this plugin is.
Honestly, sideFX should just hire you to make their modeling tools. This resolves one of the few fundamental issues in Houdini: proceduralism isn't great for this type of poly modeling.
They have said ages ago they don't want to resurrect the Model SOP.
We need more examples of how to use it, just like the SNES mouse, with this new version, PLS! :)

There is lot of free good and masters tutorials on TH-cam, vimeo and Houdini side fx website. And Houdini offers free learning tutorials is learning path you can find that in Google bro.
