Thank you! I may do a fall drive down coastal highway, it's always nice this time of year and would be fun to show who's open and who closed for the season.
Great video! Especially looking led seeing someone get busted. Back in the ‘80s there would people out in the bay with 55 gallon drums cut in half, keeping everything. Even robins. Always got me so mad.
Hey Jay, thanks for another great video, me & the wife have fished there many times. Brings back great memories, Kee p videos coming. Jay from Latrobe, Pa.
Yeah Jay there are a lot of people keeping under 16" tog. I always call DNR plus i have one of their numbers that i txt. I called and txt Sunday about a guy keeping a nice tog just wasnt 16" maybe they were on the lookout. Happy Veterans day to you and your viewers!
Fishing that part of the country, 50 years ago, we would have shark, blowfish, flounder, sea bass, etc. get on our lines, but everything was small They used to say, it was due to fishing pressure and poachers. Doesn't seem like fish get really big, as a norm, there? Yes, an occasional keeper, but few and far between. Was the case, especially on the tourist fishing boats.Any thoughts? Luv, the show.
Pisses me off when I go to our local Seafood restaurant for a broiled seafood combination meal. 50 years ago the flounder was the width of the 12" plate, now a very thin 5" piece of flounder that came from a flounder at least 6"no 8" shorter then what recreational fishing folks are allowed to keep. Stopped going on party boats to catch even one keeper flounder. Thanks for all of the great videos.
Yeah that's the norm for there. We still catch the same things, I've caught blowfish, flounder, sea bass, tautog, sheepshead, pigfish, trigger fish and a gag grouper there. Definitely a mixed bag, but if your looking for keepers theres better spots. But catching a keeper sea bass in the bay is impossible, you'll never get one at 13". For keeper size fish, it just depends the time of year and watching fishing reports to see where they are. Drifting the channel along there produces quite a few keeper flounder.
Commercial flounder limits (*I think*) are smaller than recreational size limits. It sucks because they change the size limit for the recreational guys who catch way less than the commercial guys. Why not the opposite...larger for commercial guys and maintain the same for recreational?
Biggest I've caught is 9". Keepers I believe are 13". I haven't heard of anyone catching keepers, but this year there have been some big tautog being caught. A 19" and 20" both caught on 2nd street

That's messed up keeping everything. DNR does a good job. I know they can't catch everyone, but it's great to see them always out.
Definitely beautiful sunsets at the bulkhead. I’m hoping dad’s health holds for another visit down there.
I could hear the theme of cops playing 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hoping his health holds too!
@ thanks buddy. Deeply appreciated
Nice fishing video. Tons of sea bass!
It's crazy because this video was from Nov 1. I fished the passed friday and didn't catch or feel a single sea bass.
Hey Jay, thanks for another great video, me & the wife have fished there many times. Brings back great memories, Kee p videos coming. Jay from Latrobe, Pa.

Flounder should only be taken with rod and reel recreationally imo
@@Bass_Fishing_101 For recreational yes, but I don't see how that could work for commercial unless you want to pay a ridiculous amount per pound.
Thanks jay for another good video in oc
When you catch so many small seabass, that one barely legal seabass feel like a monster that you have to keep
Biggest I've caught is 9". Keepers I believe are 13". I haven't heard of anyone catching keepers, but this year there have been some big tautog being caught. A 19" and 20" both caught on 2nd street

I'm rooting for you! 90k will hit soon!! 😄 Thank you very much, semper fi.
Right out in front of the Cambria tog bite at night under the lights
That's a spot we've been trying to get to....but every time I go someone is in the spot I want to fish! HAHA oh well. Once day I'll get out there.
@ReelJayB definitely a decent spot snaggy though so be prepared the day you do go
