These are the strongest gentlemen firefighters who neutralize the flames that were released with malicious intent. This was my brother's favorite video who passed away from cancer, thank you for reminding me of it. The firefighters and vehicles are so cool!
Engine 16 and Ladder 7 both responded to the world trade center, and collectively lost 12 members that day. I don't think any in this video were killed, though
E16 became Foam 95 shortly after this was filmed. Retired some 9-10 years ago. It’s currently in private ownership and being restored from what I’ve heard. One of the few CF’s that survive today.
Bruh my dad is the one sitting on the couch. Like literally he was a firefighter at engine 16 in the 1990s and that's literally him lmao he send it to me

A dear memory of my childhood, one of the reasons I joined the fire service.
Same here! Crazy to see how the fire service has evolved too
Same here, brother!!! stay safe out there. We are working for God helping others so others may live peace from Southern California.✌️✌️✌️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I remember this from an old VHS tape I had years ago
Thank you so much for uploading this!
I grew up watching this on VHS, Im glad I found this post.
Firefighter Bob. 😅😂 Just like Captain Over in the movie "Airplane" when the kid visited the cockpit. 😅😅😅
“Firefighter Bob” jives me the creeps
The first piece I ever got cleared to drive was College Park MD's 1977 Mack CF engine...a lot like these.
Whenever I see these pre 9/11 videos, I always wonder if any of them responded on that fateful day.

343 and all the others, Never Forget,
I learned about the FDNY from that VHS.
The chauffeur of Engine 16 looks like Harvey Keitel. Love seeing these old school FDNY videos.
The Mack pumper E16 is operating in this segment is a 1988 Mack CF pumper. TL7 is operating a 1984 Mack CF tower ladder

@ Yup. Foam 5 used to be E93 and a few others used to be the original engine companies
I used to watch this on Netlfix back in my youth. The memories

Wow!!!!! This is amazing
Love those old Mack's 👍
Really wish Mack hadn't gotten out of the fire truck business. They were the best back in the day.
Nice!
Makes you wonder if any of those men/apparatus are still around and which ones, if any, were lost on that horrible day in '01.
12 members between Engine 16 and Ladder 7 perished on 9/11.
YOO I REMEMBERT THIS
This was back in the day when the fires were hot, and the crews were salty!
Fires are hotter now a days
