    Great tutorial! Above my skill level (thank goodness). I've been working on learning Blender for almost a month, and this tutorial is helping me up my game. I've had to go through it several times to get it right, but I got there! There's much I'm still not clear on, but I'll keep reviewing & will get it. Thanks!

    Good to see you back on TH-cam :) I agree to a comment further down. The two cylinders may focus at one point near to the camera.

    • @KenanProffitt
      @KenanProffitt  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, Peter! Good point about the focus point. I didn't try it like that, but it makes sense because both our eyes tend to focus on the same thing. Thanks again!

  • @FreshPe

    pretty cool!
    But at 0:07 it looks a bit odd, because the two cylinders/bones are parrallel. I think they should end together in one point

    • @KenanProffitt
      @KenanProffitt  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I think you may be right about that. I confess I didn't test it that way, but you might be onto something.Thanks!

    Having some problems in 2.8 , i don't know why but when i parent the second cylinder with the second bone my cylinder pulls a littlebit to the side and don't stay top off the bone , and when i move the arrow he moves more than the other and if i pull a lot they cross.

    Really nice tutorial.I'm having a bit of trouble at the point around 4:15 (when you set keyframes to show if the render should be visible or not). Pressing 'I' does nothing. I tried manually pressing the insert keyframe button but get an error message: "No active keying set." I then went to the scene tab and added a keying set. I tried inserting a keyframe again but get a different error: "Keying set failed to insert any keyframes." Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.

    I tend to criticize more than I praise so first of all let me say AWESOME job. Above said, it's not really production quality but it doesn't lack that much when you think about it. The perspective of the lasers seem off giving you a cross-eyed look, actually tracking the whole scene would make it easier to match it, also the lasers should be a source of light and shadows and, finally, no actor can smoothly move head without jerking the eyes from object to object so a better footage would be of you e.g. looking at a thrown ball or a flying drone.
