Great improvements compared to your V1! Not only did you use A.I in an efficient way, you combined it with your "manual" skills and used the time for more details. Love the result!
Thank you man, so much you have no clue how much you’ve helped me I just started blender a few weeks ago and these tutorials have helped me so much! Especially since I work with mostly super hero’s. I cannot thank you enough!
some potential suggestions from someone who has no idea what they’re talking about: more realistic spider-man model (with proper cloth sim, i know that someone named ugo9p1 does this so you should check it out), far less camera movement, keeping the scene feeling more tangible, simulating actual camera (from sirrandallot video, no idea how you would implement this in a video lol), cascadeur autophysics, more accurate model proportions and sizes, and just in general higher quality and more detailed models and character animation which is obviously very easy to say
Thanks bro! I started blender like 4 years ago when I wanted to make some cool gaming renders as a kid, now the potential is limitless, keep going man! Blender's only a tool we learn to help us achieve our imagination. I'm dropping a full tutorial on this scene soon so stay tuned.
Hey thanks for sharing your thoughts. I understand the hesitation. Though while AI can automate certain aspects of animation, it's important to remember that it's just an tool like any other software or technique in the evolving creative world. In this case I used an AI based technology that was trained on datasets of custom mocap data to generate custom walk/run cycles. By having the tedious aspects automated, I could focus on the actual swinging mechanics of Spider-Man, which I think is pretty cool. I think embracing new technologies doesn't diminish the value of traditional animating skills, just opens up more possibilities for creativity and efficiency. Hope this perspective helps! Keep animating and explore what works best for you.
@@Regoliste I understand what ur saying. I’m not opposed to AI being used to assist in animation. Like the AI used in Spiderverse to create comic lines on the characters. I think the problem comes solely when people try to ONLY use AI to make an animation. But u still put a lot of effort into this, and as I said before, REALLY great video!
I think I scavenged it from pinterest, it's not even that great but clean enough so I could modify it with DALLE 2, custom road lines and then upscaling. It's pretty quick and dirty to be honest, but it worked super well in my scenario because of the sunlight.
You are a supernatural person and you are truly Spider-Man. Please, I hope you will answer me. I need you for something. I will be upset if you do not provide it to me. 😢🔴
Hey thanks! Haha speak for yourself but I have no interest in spending weeks stressing over custom run animations or painting my own textures! I have plenty of fun and creativity in the manual layering, modelling, keyframing, retargeting, texturing, compiling and problem solving that goes into the final shot.
Who said animating is stressful? It's the fun of creating whole worlds and moving them forward that intises you to keep moving, thats the fun of animation. Not having ai do it for you.
Ahh well hey it's definitely fun sometimes, but I'm not an animator, or texture designer. I consider myself a composition artist, and I absolutely like it that way, I enjoy the process of compiling a final cinematic scene much more than the focus on creating everything myself. Personally, there's no inherent reason not to embrace the newest resources, assets and tools that exist today to improve one's workflow or creative result. I think it's a little deeper than 'having ai do it for you'. The ethically trained locomotion datasets and midjourney's niche building descriptions are only a small piece of the much bigger picture. I know this short little video overlooks a lot and for the sake of infotainment is edited to be light and easy but my 43 min alternate tutorial goes on to show a lot more on my manual efforts. I've seen your recreation of my last spider-man vid, you've probably improved a ton since then
@@Regoliste Yeah you're right dude. It's a lot deeper than just ai. And yeah when it comes to 3D everyone has they're different profession. And I've improved a lot since I made that. Keep up the good work dude!
I mean when the character is on the path, your character doesn't rotate on the path. But mine does. I had to keyframe every single frame to make it work. Very tedious. I also had some problems with the retargeting of the animation. Tried to do it with a mixamo rig, the arms and legs got messed up. @@Regoliste
@@Rassick_ Well it's hard for me to elaborately explain the process in a single comment, but the empty that spider man's connected to has a follow path constraint that's animated, it's important to adjust the the path direction with all the xyz and -xyz stuff , not sure where your rotation is coming from, as for retargeting it's best to work on everything at the world orgin, applying all transforms and go through the steps slowly. I got a 40+ minute tutorial on this dropping next week, and you can also check out Peter France's spider-man tutorial series since he does a curve path there as well.
The buildings are imported using Google Maps data with the Blosm addon. But I've made some building model assets available for free on my patreon. Full tutorial on the scene dropping soon.
Yeah I know what you mean, Blender's free and has literally changed the creative world forever. Still though, research start ups fued by profits do innovate the best and create bleeding-edge products like Midjourney. It's when it gets too giant and corporate like Adobe where it gets more worrying.
To each their own I suppose. But I'd argue that the curve path is easier. Having a set curve path allows for greater flexibility when crafting a trajectory or aerial route and ensures easy keyframable speed and control. Getting a similar result by moving him manually through the air feels way more challenging to acomplish and presents some rigid circumstances that are hard to change.
@@Regoliste yeah maybe you're right. I'm just saying that because some days ago I tried that and editing the curve mostly change the animation (timing and path shape) then i dropped the whole project lol. Then tried to animate it manually it feels easier
