Marc is my new best friend in my head! Been a week looking at review videos i am going to miss you once I finally settle for a machine (I'm leaning towards the Gaggia anima Prestige, wish i could afford the ena 8 though)

Hi Elana, Thanks for the kind comment! If you have not already done so do check out the Gaggia Cadorna models. A lot more Jura like in the functionality and more drink options than the Animas. I use the Cadorna as my daily driver in the studio. Here's a video covering the 3 Cadorna models: th-cam.com/video/dVQTikx5Ypc/w-d-xo.html
      Hope that helps!

I’m so disappointed my husband ordered a Brand new Graggia for Christmas just opened it and I’m already missing the Magnet to the lid. How is it new but it’s missing parts. And there’s no Telephone number for me to call.

Hello! Thanks for the very informative videos! Loving them! But I still have an important question: assuming the milk container is usually stored in the fridge, which machine has the hottest latte? Does it get warm enough with any machine? I have read many complains about the temperature... Thanks for any advice!

Hi J&HvV, Thanks for the comment and question. So machine manufacturers design their machines to produce frothed milk temps around 140-150F. They shoot for those temps as it's where milk gets the most boost in apparent sweetness due to heating. Go beyond 155F and apparent sweetness falls off rapidly. So if you go to a high-end cafe a latte is not served super hot. An educated barista steams milk to ~140F. Totally understand that some like it hot, but too hot (in most people's opinion) ruins flavor. I'm convinced the desire for hot milk-based drinks comes from those newer to them. They are expecting something as hot as a regular coffee. You will not find super-automatic machines go beyond 155 for milk temps. In general, the machines which produce the hottest milk froth are those with adjustable froth density. Many Jura machines have that feature but they use pick up tubes to feed milk to the machine. If you like it hot you might consider the Gaggia Accademia. It has an attachable carafe and adjustable froth density. If the carafe doesn't do milk as hot as you like the Accademia also has a manual steaming wand. With the wand, you can froth as hot as you desire. I have access to many super-auto machines and the Accademia is a long time favorite of mine - I have one in the studio and have used it daily for a number of years. Check out this video showing the manual wand in use on the Accademia frothing for a latte art pour: th-cam.com/video/wdTlwacRPPQ/w-d-xo.html

      Hope that helps,

Thanks for the review. In terms of coffee taste, both are similar?

Do you have to program the settings before you can use the machine? Or does it come with pre programmed settings?

    • @Wholelattelovepage

Hi Ralph, Thanks for the question. The Anima Prestige comes pre-programmed settings. You can leave as is or easily customize to your preferences.

Hello hole latte love club, Mark which machine you like best for a beginner that hasn’t to much money to spend, like few hundred dollars range.
Great work as usual, yes I watched lots of your videos and I can’t decide they all seem to be close in performance, in a word I like to blame you if your recommendation is not liked,

theonedom Gaming hi thanks for the question. Can’t beat the Gaggia Brera for value. Lowest cost super auto machine. It uses same brewing tech as more expensive machines. After that it’s the Gaggia Anima line

Hi Bob, Thanks for the comment. Do you mean an Americano or just a long coffee?

    • @just.bob.j
      @just.bob.j 7 ปีที่แล้ว

Whole Latte Love I mean a large coffee. I guess you're calling it long? Just ground beans and coffee but large.

    • @Wholelattelovepage

Got ya, These machines do a fine job making larger coffees. I use a Gaggia Accademia for a couple of travel mug size coffees everyday in the studio. The Accademia uses the same brewing system as these machines. When making larger volumes (large/long coffee) it's best to adjust the grinder to a larger grind size to avoid over-extraction.

Whole Latte Love that machine is way out of my price range..... I was thinking in the $500 range.

I hear you Bob! There are more cost effective options in the Gaggia line which use the same brewing method and have manual milk frothing rather than the attachable carafe. Gaggia Brera currently $399: www.wholelattelove.com/gaggia-brera-espresso-machine-in-black
