    Great tips in this video. I keep my nails super short and always have issues with them chipping. I'm pretty new to dip nails so I think I made about every mistake you mentioned in this video. Hopefully, this helps!

    I did one hand then decided to look up a video on applying dip powder before I started on my other hand since I’ve had issues with cracking within 20 minutes of applying the dip powder. I followed along with your video and can already see a HUGE difference between the hand I did alone and the hand I did following along with your video. Thank you for sharing this video! It’s been my favorite dip tutorial I’ve watched tonight from the tips you shared to your delivery of them. Also, congratulations on starting your own business you are an inspiration! 💖

    The last clear coating..is that also dip powder basecoat?or literally gel base polish?

    • @naildipstudio
      @naildipstudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      The last clear coating is traditionally “Top Coat - Step 4”. You can also use gel clear polish to top-off/seal you dip powder manicure. It’s really based on preference.
      My liquid sets comes with a Base coat and a Top coat (step 2 & 4), but some liquid systems combine the Base & Top coats together.

    • @naildipstudio
      @naildipstudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much! I am really glad you enjoy my videos.. To answer your question, I would use no less than 4-1/2 dip applications; file and buff; which will remove one layer; leaving you with 3-1/2 dip applications after filing/buffing; then I would add my gel polish (very thin layers) 🥰

    Your natural nails are so long and beautiful! How did you get them so long? 😁

    • @naildipstudio
      @naildipstudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Honestly, by using my products! My dip powders are less harsh than traditional acrylics; also you are soaking off the last application every two-three weeks. Which means no backfilling or excessive eFiling; which means less harm to your natural nail. So if your nail isn’t experiencing any “trauma” they will start to grow and maintain their length.

      @@naildipstudio Yes i have short nails, I apologize for the misunderstanding

    • @naildipstudio
      @naildipstudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No worries 😉!! I just wanted to make sure I understood.. For shorter nails, I would omit the apex building (so don’t start with a half dip layer); rather start with a “landing strip” applying your first layer of clear closer to the cuticle and avoiding the sidewalls. Apply your color layers. This will give your shorter nails the appearance of some length.

    Got a kit, and it's garbage. The nails chip, LITERALLY, within hours. Was wondering, do you think I should mix it with some clear acrylic? Maybe that will make it strong enough to actually last more than a day? The colors are pretty, but I want to try everything before chucking them. Thanks.

    • @naildipstudio
      @naildipstudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately a lot of dipkits on the market are trash; this is one of the reasons why I started my own business. I would (1) add additional layers. Try adding 1or 2 more layers to your normal application. This may help?! (2) You can try adding 1 full dip layer as your base layer and maybe add 2 additional clear encapsulating layers (3 layers in total). This may also help you with strengthening. Lastly, purchase a NDS DipKit. I hope this helps 🥰 @wickedwordzz

      Hello Jovana! 5 layers isn’t too much. Especially when you have to file & shape your nails. During that process you file off anywhere from 1-2 layers, so by the time you finish you’re left with the desired 3 to 4 layers. If you want to avoid cracking. You should always base the amount of dip powder layers based on your daily activities. What works for one person may not work for another.. Hello 👋🏽
