Sadly midnight club is now dead....thanks to GTA online......I miss playing midnight club 3 dub edition remix on my ps2 online back in 2010.....I wish they would remaster the whole series in one big collection
It was already dead before GTA V even came out... Racing games like this are dated. The series was always a niche so it wasn't worth it to keep it going. They tried to be too much like NFS and that's what killed the series. You have to keep in mind that not even half of your audience are car people when even talking about mainstream games like NFS. Midnight Club was way more complicated and hard so your potential audience already gets cut in half. And keep in mind all the other top racing games right now like Project Cars, Forza, GTS, DriveClub, The Crew,... So a new game would just go up in the masses.
@@Yoshiman2024 stfu already midnight club never tried to be like nfs infact overrated nfs copied midnight club and your shit if you cannot beat the game its not their fault asshole
"I wish they would remaster the whole series in one big collection" Considering how Rockstar tried (and failed) that with the ps2 era GTA games, i don't want them to butcher Midnight Club like that either. Also a big reason for MCs death was god-awful working conditions in Rockstar San Diego, formally known as Angel Studios. Talented game designers were quitting because of overworking, or just straight up laid off, and with enough of all that, the studio eventually collapsed and is now a thing of the past. P.S: that all happened in 2009, only a few months to a year after MCLA's release
YBBGM the first one had an awesome atmosphere not as deep as the second one but it was unique in the pre _'Fast and Furious'_ era of street racing. that intro cut with real street racing footage was breathtaking
PAKTRA_PRODUCTIONS WATCH_DOGS agree and I wish Fast and Furious still have that today but with Liberty Walk, Rocket Bunny, and RWB cars and all of 3 them will get the higher popularity if wasn't for Universal Pictures transformed into a WTF with the Military Equipments and Vehicles.

This game was really fun at the time. I remember in 2004 playing this and it stole a good percentage of my childhood. Mostly racing my friends on the PS2. GOODTIMES
VenomSX I never got into Midnight Club LA like I did with 2 and 3 for some reason. I guess it’s due to the voiced character who talks way too damn much.
LA was terrible compared to the other 3 games, it just tried to copy the feel of 3, but failed miserably.....the only cool thing was the paint booth they added
The game, especialy Midnigh Club LA can be one hell of challenge, if you don't upgrade your cars preformance first. I wouldn't say it is as frustrating as Dark Souls, because atleast Midnight Club is a fun game. Not to mention that we had hard games way before Dark Souls was even a thing. Devil May Cry series is a good example of hard games and even older Castlevania games are challenging.
I find the first game the hardest. The faster the car, the more nervous it gets and the slightest jump could send you doing a front flip into a building. But at the same time, you need the speed or they’ll pull away from you like a Lamborghini racing a Prius.
As a fan of each midnight club from 1-la owning every single one including the portable ones. I can say that MC3 remix was by far the best of every single game and if they remastered it today with the vinyl customization of LA it would be the best racing game on the market.

Dog of Wisdom : I agree with you, actually the absence of licensed cars is a good thing. Now games like Forza Horizon 1 & 2 are removed from sale 4 years after launch because Microsoft"s license of car brands has expired.

fun fact, midnight club was a real car group from japan in the late 80's-90's that would race top speed on highways. police asked them to stop and after a few lethal crashes they agreed to stop.
- I don't care at all about lack of customization. Less customization is better, actually. Too much customization options in MC3 and MC:LA killed the fine-tuned races of MC and MC2, because now the game has to take into account an almost infinite number of cars and upgrades. Developers have only one way left to keep the challenge as the race cannot be fine-tuned to the current fastest car in the game anymore : a universal rubber banding system. - having to keep up with a racer to be able to launch a race is much more immersive that lauching races in a menu. - timed races add a layer of difficulty. You cannot finish the race at your leisure and learn the track when you're last because of the timer. That's why they put it in the game.
4:20 (ha) The time limit seems to be a preemptive measure from the devs. I recently played through the career and there were a few times (it happened almost exclusively in London) where the one opponent in the head to head races would glitch and get very stuck somewhere. I watched their arrow not move on the map, and laughed, then drove slowly....then the timer beeped and I have 8 seconds to do 19 seconds worth of driving. Easy win at no point, apparently. Also you didn't mention the game breaking bug you can very easily run into where city champs don't spawn if you don't go back to free roam after beating the second set of group races. I went to my cell phone to do the last head to head for the second character and suddenly the champion never appeared. This happened first time around in New York then I got lucky and did it properly by accident only to get the bug again in London. Brutal.
I remember when I would go to the children's hospital 6 years ago (I'm 18, 19 this yr) I would ask for the Xbox 360 and I played so much of the midnight club Los Angeles and would purposely get in trouble with the law, trigger pull over cutscene and drive away with the doors open. you should do a review on midnight club 2 next, it's only fair!
Midnight Club and Midtown Madness are running on the same game engine if you didn't know
+Jatjarty yes, true I've heard that while playing :p
Review Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition
This game is surprisingly my favorite in the series. _Midnight Club 2_ and _3_ were alright, and _Los Angeles_ was just not that memorable at all.
Midnight Club 2 wasn't a memorable? The bosses were much harder and the races were really technically made.
@@TheFurryInShambles - I said _Los Angeles_ was not memorable. _Midnight Club 2_ is alright.
your channel is poppen breh

Me and my cousin would be hiding the maps and play hide and go seek tag

mc2 wasnt bad but the first one & 3rd one are the best
You're supposed to go after the club members in a certain order. Of course a cab won't keep up with an off brand RX7. That's why u were getting smoked
Now maybe review the 2nd and 3rd games too😏
