Great video mate! Love my Shield wish I had one in every room. I also use PLEX on my Shield to feed Firesticks in the bedrooms my entire movie collection. I used to have Kodi on my Firesticks in the past but it's a pain to keep setting up each one and it takes up more space than Plex. With Plex just sign in job done. I still have Kodi on my Firesticks but purely for use with Real Debrid. My main Shield setup has Kodi with an Aeon Nox Silvo skin which I am very happy with it looks way better than Plex. Can you only stream games from your PC if you have Nvidia graphics onboard?
@@TechDoctorUK I was able to do something similar from my laptop but I had to use the Steam Link app. It was okay but my laptop is very old so quality wasn't great. I created a steam account and bought a couple of Lego games on offer thinking I wouldn't have to queue to play the game but I guess Nvidia want you to pay so you don't have to wait to use their servers. Trouble is there aren't any spaces left to pay for the upgrade. Thanks for the reply! Keep up the good work!

I tried to send Nvidia a message through the shield and TV, and now it keeps giving me this message on the bottom of my screen saying “Unable to connect to your Nvidia”. Many thanks! That button mapper looks great. Several times I have inadvertently pressed that Netflix button in the middle of another show or movie. I do have Netflix, but don't need a dedicated button. That will come in very handy. Also, Aurora Store looks really good. Peace. Anything on the Shield, and Pro, of interest to me.
Silk works a bit differently than other browsers. Everything you do on silk goes through Amazon's servers so my guess could be they ID the shield as not being a fire device. Just an educated guess knowing how Amazon and Google work against each other.
It's amazing with all the different companies that they have in China that not one of them cloned the Nvidia Shield processor and made their own version of Nvidia Shield. If they would they could bring down the price.

You would do: 1. Plug USB drive in to router and configure your router to share that over network. 2. Map network storage on Shield to the USB on router 3. On plex, create a library that uses the network share as the source

Can anyone help me. On my nvidia shield .. I clicked on restricted profile and when I tried to exit it ask for a pin. I never put a pin before and know I can't get out! Is their a factory pin so I can exit restricted profile. Or what can I do. The customer service for nvidia shield is clueless. Will never buy one of these again.

Nothing is secret about any of this what click bait, blocking your channel well done. Also as for Plex (watch it eat your CPU usage after a couple of months), I ran it on my Synology NAS for a while, never again, regularly for 2 days at a time it would stay at nearly 100% CPU and MEMORY just whilst it ran it's maintenance tasks, sod that, Kodi is the way to go!!!
Shield cpu will be light years ahead of the low-power cpu in your synology. I've had a plex server on my Shield for over a year with zero performance issues.

Hey Lee, Gamestream is a Nvidia feature so you have to have a Nvidia GPU. Honestly surprised how well it works!

Cool work, why doesn’t silk browser side loaded work properly in the shield as it won’t let you bookmark just kicks you is there a fix on that ?

Mine are not named correctly but it still finds 99% of the content - how long did you let it run its scan for?

sorry about that. You can actually watch TH-cam with a slower speed , i.e 0.75 times or even 0.5 . Try that and see if that helps

NO but I have the Eero router and the extender
check the speed on the router is good on my devices the speed is bad
and the speed is low in my bedroom could it be the Erro mesh router
