I was afraid of opening my xTool 10w, but when I watch this video, everything became clear. I put my machine together by watching this video; stopping and starting with each section. I have purchased the fume extractor and the power button. Now I am and ordering the the filter to use with my 3gal shop vac. I am so appreciative of your video. Your tutorial is beyond my expectations and the best video for putting thing together by far. Subscriber for life!
Those dad-blasted red, white and yellow cables took me longer to connect than the rest of the assembly! I thank you sir for your video as it helped tremendously! A heart surgeon would have had a time with connecting those cables
I was came to the comments looking for exactly this! I don’t understand what they were thinking when they decided to put the connectors there. Who can even fit their fingers in that space to connect those 3! Especially the white one took me forever. Had to use the screw driver and hope I didn’t mess anything up. Literally almost quit the entire assembly because of those cables.
"...kerf only has four letters..." and now I'm blowing martini out my nose! SIR! This is hands-down THE BEST tutorial I have ever seen on anything! You will see my order for the fume extractor momentarily. THANK YOU! Take extra desserts for the rest of the year!
I can't tell you "thank you" enough! I watched your video about 3 times, and then while I was putting it together I would just pause your video. Got it set up and working on the first try!!!
Today is day one for me with my D-1 after having spent yesterday putting it together. There were things i did not realize about cables etc.that were not explained in the drawings, and I learned a lot from this video. Thank You for putting this together. I have watched many other video's but this one explained things for a true 'Beginner' (I am technology challenged as well) and for that I appreciate your time and the time explaining things along the way.
Really appreciate the detailed video with extras! I assembled mine about 80% of the way via the manual and then took a break to research further, finding your video during this time. The details with regards to the cable routing were amazing and I am nearly done with all of that in my setup. Thank you!
My gosh.. glad I found this tutorial. Saved me a lot of "anger" time with this machine. I just put it together and made sure the cable management was smooth once completed. Thanks a million. I really appreciate you.
Today my D1 pro Golden Red arrived and I had never seen a video about this, and thanks it was very useful as you explain it, you really speak very clearly ,you have a new subscriber 😊
Just about to go and pick up my new D-1 Pro 20w with extender and you have made the thought of set up far less daunting!!! Thank you so much for your fantastic guide... people like you make this World a better place to be in and we Thank You for your time and efforts - they are greatly appreciated (even here in little old New Zealand!), wanted you to know - even if you aren't always told so xxx
Im installing the extender now. 4-04-23. Going to use the drag chain on top of the rail. Ive been in electronics for 55 years and must admit I needed this video and found my big body inside the laser frame while it was on a bed and up on its side! Stay tuned for "Page Two" as Paul Havery would say!🤣
Huge help!!!...I had to walk away for a day because I couldn't get the Y-axis aligned. Super Easy fix that my frustration wasn't allowing me to see. Thank you for taking the time to put this video together.
Today I conquered putting the d1pro 10w thanks to you. The manual was good but you explained and showed me exactly what I needed to do. I appreciate you!
Thank you Very Much!!! While we watched your video to set up my D1 Pro XTool, my husband put it together while I "manned" the space bar for your video. hee hee You made this easier than the user manual, especially including the extra little details. We appreciate you and will be liking and following for future references. :)
I am new to the Xtool community having just bought the Xtool D1 Pro 20W and I am in the process of setting it all up. I do like your explanation and demonstration of how to manage the cords with the better placement vs Xtools utilization. As far as the fume extractor I really like the concept but there is no explanation as to what you are connecting the CPAP hose to and how that works. I think better explanation of that would be helpful! This makes individuals do further research when it could have been done with one person being 100% concise with all the modifications being done. Otherwise a very good video with great information to help make production better for everyone. I will definitely be watching more of your video's.
Thanks for the comment! Yes I am sort of kicking myself in hind sight that I wasn't more clear about that in this video. However, for your reference here are two videos that explain the other end of the CPAP hose: Filter system: th-cam.com/video/k7qTE4t4sf8/w-d-xo.html Filter system with an enclosure: th-cam.com/video/VuCol-Xv3rI/w-d-xo.html Similar system on the Creality Falcon 2 with the vacuum system explained: th-cam.com/video/WCbuhiEblno/w-d-xo.html
Wow! Super helpful video (yes, even 1 year later). I just received my Xtool D1 Pro and will be assembling today. Your video is a game changer. Thank you!
As totally careful as I was to follow every single instruction they gave to the letter, I missed that connector at 6:56. I hadn't fired up the machine yet because I'm waiting for a couple more incidentals and while I do, I saw this video! When I watched this I went back and redid everything and I'm still working on it now going through second by second of this video. My belts weren't tightened properly, I just randomly attached the gantry somewhere in the middle instead of bottoming out at the back. THEN tightening the connector bolt screws. I felt like the instructions might have assumed end user knowledge being much greater than mine is. But this connector tucked in at 6:56 would have had me shipping the machine back 😭. Onward with new knowledge!!! Appreciate you!
Before I got a honeycomb bed for my laser, I used a silicone dish drying mat. These mats have raised ribs, so they give you an air gap underneath your work piece. I don't know if you can find one big enough to cover the work area of a D1, but most jobs are smaller than that. I love the idea of your fume extractor!
Thanks for this very thorough and complete video. After reading the horror stories on the FB community from some folks struggling with their set up and output of their projects using the D1, I realize how lucky I am I found your channel and this video. Really great stuff and thanks for the practical and comprehensive way you share information.
Glad it was helpful! I wasn't aware so many people were struggling on the FB community. I think it's one of those things where there is the initial learning curve and once you break through that it shouldn't be too bad :)
Excellent video! Great tips on cable management, gantry and stepper motor shaft alignment. xTool needs to either have that little tab cut off the circuit board which prevents it from aligning with the other side or revise their assembly instructions the way you did it. Also love the flame extractor. Will be purchasing one tof those from you for sure. Much more elegant solution than one of the rinky dink enclosures... Thanks for all your thought and work on this video. Best xTool D1 Pro video I've seen so far.
Hi Jeff, that's a lot of praise! Thanks for the thoughtful comment, really appreciate it! Whenever you're ready to get a fume extractor nozzle you know where to find me. Thanks again!
Great information and well presented! The only things I'd add are: - when you and initially putting together the pieces, insert the screws and tighten them only until they just more that touch. When all the fasteners for a part are in then go back and tighten them in a couple of rounds. Tightening them at the start could cause mis-alignment. - do the zap tie around the x stepper first then secure the cables under the side frame but be sure to have the x axis all the way to the back and secure cables starting at the back and work towards the front.
Thank you Brother....this is one of the best most thorough setup vids I've seen and went through and I've been woodworking all my life and running a business for the last 6 years and run a CNC so I'm used to watching vids like this but yours was awesome. I didn't even need the manual and i was up and running and already doing orders I have within 2 hours. This is what the manufacturer videos should be like...some are good but most not. Great job man..very impressed. And I will be buying your fume extractor. My whole house smells like char lol.
Absolutely brilliant. So glad I found this video. I just ordered the 20w d1 pro yesterday and this has filled me with confidence. Going to watch a few more times before setting mine up. Thank you for the content. Will be picking up the cover for the PCB soon. Very well done indeed. Subscribed!
Thanks heap for doing this video! I HATE reading instructions so having this video made my life so much easier when I had to put my D1 pro together a couple days ago. 🤗🤗🤗
No problem, glad you found it helpful! If you also have the RA2 rotary attachment I just released that video and it is pretty thorough as well. Might also be something you want to check out :)
Just cut my first project and your video was such a help. Subbed and thumbs up. I got the air assist and the fume extractor and cut on a honeycomb tray and had zero char on either side. I couldn’t believe how clean it cut.
Great Video. Just used it to set up my laser. Now to start lasering some objects. Brand new to lasering glad I watched your vudeo. Thanks for all the tips.
Thank you! This helped me so much, especially the tips on cable management. I was on the point of getting a drag chain to try and get the cables under control - your solution saved me some money!
you mention using a protective mat under your project, Xtool has their iron honeycomb workspace, as for your burning on the back of the piece and having more crisp front, the air assist should help with that
Definitely! In a future video I have a lower cost solution to the honeycomb work space for people on a little more of a budget. The silicone mat underneath is a good pairing with this solution I will be releasing soon. Air assist definitely helps with the top surface and having air space under the part prevents all of the burning on the bottom side.
Thank you so much for your great content! I'm getting my XTool D1 Pro (10W) in a few days and am excited to make the modifications you described. Keep up the good work!
This video may just have saved my sanity !!! I assembled my D1 Pro last night, and only got a chance to test it out today, I loaded an image into XCS to attempt to test run the machine, it wouldnt move after clicking on 'FRAME' , I chose to bypass that and attempt to engrave anyway, the module would only move along the X axis and would then constantly give me limit alarms.... I think this video has solved my problem, I completley missed that small black cable that plugs into the limiter for the X & Y axis... I dont recall seeing that in the assembly manual for some reason....
The ties I used in this video are about 8" long and 1/8" wide. If you like that system check out my other video here for an even better solution: th-cam.com/video/EnrdbwzG1j4/w-d-xo.html
Wonderful video! I just received mine today and used your video for the set up. The only difference I seen was they are using hex head screws now. All of the other set up info and extra tips are wonderful.
hello and thanks so much for this video it helped me set up my xtool d1 pro. Now im at the phase of experimenting materials but I have questions for you before I begin: 1.Do I need both an air assist and your fume extractor? Do they do the same thing? 2. Do you suggest the metal plate or a honeycomb Laser Bed to go on top of silicon mat but under material? 3. Should the laser slide all the way to the mat or be adjusted where when it slides in, the back metal piece of laser underneath plug is even with the bracket its attaching to? Ultimately resulting in laser being approximately a quarter inch from the mat?
Thanks Monica, yes amazon is temporarily out of stock it seems. I don't see a newer version in the meantime so you might have to shop off of amazon for that in the meantime!
How often would the filter need to be replaced... can it be cleaned... with a blower, smoke and debris just goes out the window. But I like the idea of your fume extractor, more or less self contained. The area where I will install a xTool D1 Pro would require a fairly long hose, cutting down on the effective cfm. With a rolling cart and the vac installed within the cart, I suspect your fume extractor may be the way to go, depending on the cost of and how often the replacement, etc... of the filter would be. The shop also has a ceiling mount air filter... I know a Blower would rid all smoke.... and hope the fume extractor set would also. Thanks.
It seems the newer updates to the XCS changed the interface a bit. I press "start" to start processing, and then tells me to press the button on the machine. When I do though, i get the "task canceled" message. Any ideas?
Are you running the latest firmware on the D1 pro? If not, maybe there is some kind of compatibility issue between the Creative space version you're running and the machine firmware
First, I'd like to thank you for putting together such a thorough and descriptive video. I have a question regarding the fume extractor that you designed for the 10W machine...we purchased the Air Assist tool with our new machine. Would we also need a fume extractor, or will the Air Assist serve the same purpose that the fume extractor served in this video? Thank you for any insight, we are new to the xTool community.
You're welcome! The air assist will blow the fumes and smoke outwards. It is designed to clear the space around the laser beam so it doesn't get diffused through the smoke and thereby increases the laser efficiency (or at least makes it stable). However the smoke will still get blown out everywhere into your room. The fume extractor is designed to try and pick up some of that smoke and then get it filtered or get it out of your room so it doesn't accumulate. With just the fume extractor is sort of has the same effect as the air assist - it will draw away some of the smoke from the laser path... however it's not its primary function. The primary function is to minimize smoke accumulation in your room. Whereas the air assist is generally aimed right in the laser path and doesn't do anything for smoke accumulation in your room. So each have their own primary function that is different from one another. If you use both together... it kind of depends on how strong your air assist is. It could blow some of the smoke and fumes outside of the reach of the fume extractor and that is just the reality of having one thing blowing while another is sucking all while the laser module is moving around everywhere.
wondering if you can help me...I'm trying to cut out the word love. when the machine is framing, it just frames a straight line, top to bottom. what am I doing wrong?
Just put mine together have not even turned it on yet. Question it said I could not use laser box basic? I don’t know what that is. Would my next step be down loading the free program from xTool? Great video go to go back and fix a few things you pointed out. Thks for sharing!
Hey sorry I must have missed your comment, I haven't used laser box basic. What kinds of things will you mainly be doing? For general use the xtool software isn't bad. If you're an advanced used light burn seems to be the choice of the pros
Thanks for this video - just got a 10W D1 Pro myself and the fume extractor looks great; One question: What sort of volume of air do you think the extraction pump needs to pull (i.e. how many litres/min) in order to be effective??
I'm having problems when trying to home the machine, it will successfully home on the X axis but when moving to the back it will not reach the little end stop bracket and will just grind the belt... Could it be because the dumb wiring management? I'm going to redo it tomorrow after work but I want to be ready just in case that there is something else to check...
Thank you so much for the great video! Ive encoutered my first issue, for the step at 8:01, I cant plug the White cable into the white socket, I have tried for ways, it seems there is a plastic piece on the white cable that it stoping it from sliding in, ayone else have this problem?? Thank you!
I think it must be the locking tab you're referring to. Did you get it pressed in there? The tab should flex so you can press the connector in and then it should click in place
I wanted to add,Very well spoken also. XTool should be using you as there US representative. Sometimes I have a hard time understanding there videos due to the language barrier.
the wire on the gantry that was tucked up in with other wires was not plugged up. saw that in your video and said I do not remember doing that one. thanks again
I'm not as familiar with lightburn but your motors might be "on" which means they will hold their current position. Are you running the latest D1 pro firmware? Might not be a lightburn issue as when I did a quick google search it comes up with this: forum.lightburnsoftware.com/t/disable-steppers/43986 ...
Should be getting my 10w red next week. New to laser engraving but not to making things with other tools, especially intricate stuff with the scrollsaw.Trying to make the setup and start up as smooth as possible. Great video, definitely will help, thanks.
This is a really insightful and well thought out video. I have a question. I was having a hard time finding a work table for this laser and honestly I didn't want to take the time to make one. I have a Costco 34-in by 34-in card table. Should I get a piece of 26x26 in wood to place underneath the laser or should I just flash the table with aluminum? I use to laser engrave back in the day before it was cool and the machine that I used had a metal bed.
Thank you, I've never used an engraver machine and since my hands shake more I need one. I've watched several videos and now I just need to decide which D1, D1Pro 10W or 20W to get. Thank you Also, I love and need the extra filtration you created
I ordered the smoke extracting stuff from your channel and it is supposed to be here by Friday. The thing I am concerned with is that I have not been able to move the laser with light burn or laser box. I am going to try the users forum. The xtool folks set off my virus scanner every time I try to fool around with their website. Thanks for the video keep on keeping on.
Thanks for your order! So you are not able to frame or jog the axis at all with lightburn? Have you tried Lasergrbl just as a sanity check to see if its the software?
Great video! A few questions.. You don't show what is on the other end of the CPAP hose, what is that setup re removing fumes etc. Are you saying with your setup you don't need an enclosure at all? Thanks
Somewhere in the video I believe I put a link that pops up in the top right hand corner of the screen, but here is my other video showing the filtration system: th-cam.com/video/k7qTE4t4sf8/w-d-xo.html My nozzle is geared more towards people who don't have room for the enclosure or are doing light work with their laser. I would recommend a full enclosure and professional filtration system for anyone running their laser for long periods of time or working with really nasty materials. The nozzle works great but realistically some smoke and fumes will still escape as it is impossible for it to get absolutely everything. An enclosure (in theory) captures everything since there is nowhere else for the fumes to go.
Tip for the tutorial: watch the assembly portion all the way through because you can conserve your zip ties. Or you can go get extra zip ties before you start assembling so you can execute his assembly tips, which are good.
@@EmbraceMaking thank you my friend. At Home Depot the little do-dads are called mounting bases. The ones I got are 1“ x 1“ so I just cut down two parallel sides with a tin snips to fit the X tool rail. And you actually get a little bit more adhesion power. This wasn’t planned it just happened that way. Lol
just a quick question? just upgraded from the 5w to 40w and just half way putting to together and Y-axes doesn't seen have any holes to attach my limit control bored? any advice? I'm at a lose
Absolutely possible. I have pointed this out to a few people who have messaged me about it. I haven't personally tested it but it would make sense that air assist could push away fumes for sure
better of the informative videos on assembly of xtool d1 pro.. subscribed.. had similar realizations with gantry wires issues.. ill have to readjust carriages alignment as presented as i've noticed deviations in coordinates while moving laser head to 100x100 mm for origin.. seems 0x0 absolute origin keeps moving a mm off every return.. reason "free framing" works w/o precise positioning.. the fume extractor is brilliant! commend the ingenuity.. do recommend using air assist for wood cuts as it improves vastly cleaner kerfs from charring.. multiple passes at faster speeds vs few at slower rate works well with 5mm plywood for me.. excellent altogether.. thanks for sharing insight...
The link to the cpap hose has been removed. Was there a problem with it? Do any of your add ons and products I can purchase void the warranty? I find your videos very helpful.
Great! Not sure how much help I could have been, but I'm happy to hear you got it working. If you have a minute to explain how you fixed it perhaps someone will come across this in the future and it might help them too. Thanks!

- when you and initially putting together the pieces, insert the screws and tighten them only until they just more that touch.
Cheers for the tips on the cable ties! Was having issues with the wire moving excessively, but your tip fixed it
I would never have made it through the setup without this video! Thank you!
Glad I could help!
Hi there, video helped a LOT!!! Trying to figure out how to adjust the rear plate, as the focal point is not longer at (0).
Thank you! I didn't even use the manual. Your walkthrough and explanation was great!
You're welcome! More XTOOL content to come :)
THE BEST video out there with this detailed instruction. Thank you !!
You're very welcome!
Thank you so much for the kind words and high praise! Put a lot of effort into this video, glad it is helping people get going!
Absolutely brilliant. So glad I found this video. I just ordered the 20w d1 pro yesterday and this has filled me with confidence. Going to watch a few more times before setting mine up. Thank you for the content. Will be picking up the cover for the PCB soon. Very well done indeed. Subscribed!
Great to hear! Thank you so much for your support and for subscribing!
So how did it go for you? Setting mine up tonight!
CABLE MANAGEMENT IN THIS MACHINE IS AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE
That is where I tried to focus some effort on getting it under control
@@EmbraceMaking yes it was helpful
I just ziptied it to the bottom of the structure and had no problem.. not sure why y-all tripping, it's actually better than on most gantries
Great vid. Just got my xTool D1 Pro 20W and your vid got me up and running quickly. Thanks!
Glad it helped Dennis!
This video really helped with my assembly. I was having trouble with the cables and your tip/mod solved my problem. Thank you!
Glad you found it useful!
Just cut my first project and your video was such a help. Subbed and thumbs up. I got the air assist and the fume extractor and cut on a honeycomb tray and had zero char on either side. I couldn’t believe how clean it cut.
Fantastic! Glad you got it all sorted out and great results!
@@EmbraceMaking What is powering the fume extractor? Would be interested in seeing what the exit looks like, window , wall or???
I love everything about your channel. The way you explain it, it’s super easy to follow
Thank you so much Aaron
Great Video. Just used it to set up my laser. Now to start lasering some objects. Brand new to lasering glad I watched your vudeo. Thanks for all the tips.
Glad it was helpful! Hope you come back for more future XTOOL videos!
THANK YOU for this video and your content! Just received my D1 Pro 20W today and like others, this has instilled confidence within me lol
Great to hear! Hope you've been having fun with it already
Thank you! This helped me so much, especially the tips on cable management. I was on the point of getting a drag chain to try and get the cables under control - your solution saved me some money!
Glad it helped!
Thanks so much for your thoughtful assembly steps! This new venture is scary enough without the concerns of messing up installation.
Thank you Jen! Glad it helped you :)
Great video! wondering if you can use the fume extraction and air assist at the same time?
Yes you can, but the air assist might push some of the fumes away. The nozzle should still get most of it, but realistically never 100%
This video was super informative and all around awesome, thank you for putting it together!
Thank you! Really happy you found it useful!
Very good, informative presentation....I have subscribed. My D1 20 pro will be delivered in a few days.....can't wait. Thanks again!
Best assembly video yet. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
you mention using a protective mat under your project, Xtool has their iron honeycomb workspace, as for your burning on the back of the piece and having more crisp front, the air assist should help with that
Definitely! In a future video I have a lower cost solution to the honeycomb work space for people on a little more of a budget. The silicone mat underneath is a good pairing with this solution I will be releasing soon. Air assist definitely helps with the top surface and having air space under the part prevents all of the burning on the bottom side.
Hi, Will you recommend this model for cutting various type of papers for paper craft, wedding card and Cardboard cutting and engraving?
I'm finding this extraordinary helpful. Question. There appears to be a cover over the air assist hole. Does that just peel off??
Thank you! Is it that white plug on the air assist inlet that you're referring to?
Thank you so much for your great content! I'm getting my XTool D1 Pro (10W) in a few days and am excited to make the modifications you described. Keep up the good work!
Have fun with it and thanks for the comment!
Love that vacuum adapter you made super smart and cool design.
Thanks! I see you have some experience with the D1 yourself, nice videos!
sooo grateful love the cable ties ..i ordered the cable tags but what size cable ties mine i had home were too big thanks
The ties I used in this video are about 8" long and 1/8" wide. If you like that system check out my other video here for an even better solution: th-cam.com/video/EnrdbwzG1j4/w-d-xo.html
Do you have a video for your new harness cables for the d1 pro 5?
Very Very helpful in getting my new laser up and running and helping me understand the basics. Thank you!
You're very welcome!
Wonderful video! I just received mine today and used your video for the set up. The only difference I seen was they are using hex head screws now. All of the other set up info and extra tips are wonderful.
Awesome glad it was helpful!
hello and thanks so much for this video it helped me set up my xtool d1 pro. Now im at the phase of experimenting materials but I have questions for you before I begin:
1.Do I need both an air assist and your fume extractor? Do they do the same thing?
2. Do you suggest the metal plate or a honeycomb Laser Bed to go on top of silicon mat but under material?
3. Should the laser slide all the way to the mat or be adjusted where when it slides in, the back metal piece of laser underneath plug is even with the bracket its attaching to? Ultimately resulting in laser being approximately a quarter inch from the mat?
Very informative! I will be getting the adapter , the link to the hose doesn't work, is there a newer version??
Thanks.
Takk!
Thank you so so much for your contribution! It is very much appreciated!!
Can't wait for future project and D1 upgrade.
Thank you, always more in the works ;)
Hi Patti, I'm going to assume you are using the creative space software?
Can you post the link to the adhesive clips you added to place the wire under?
In the video description :) but here as well: amzn.to/3W2WLZ4
Ive treid so many videos and this was super helpful and easy
Glad it helped!
Awesome video will defo help when I eventually get round to building my D1 pro 20w
Great to hear!
Thanks for the great videos. You have really helped me assemble the d1 pro.
Glad to help!
@@EmbraceMaking just want to be able to put clients name on cutting boards for now
Thank you, This video answered a lot of questions for me.
Glad it was helpful!
Should I use the vacuum extraction you recommend with air assist?
Thank you so much Mark, unfortunately that is a common challenge when dealing with overseas companies.
Can you still use air assist with your extraction nozzle installed? Thank you!
Shouldn't be an issue although depending on the strength of your air assist it *might* blow some of the smoke away from the nozzle.
the wire on the gantry that was tucked up in with other wires was not plugged up. saw that in your video and said I do not remember doing that one. thanks again
Glad you got it sorted out! Would have been a shame to have not gotten to use it. Enjoy!
Thanks sooooo much! This video is MUCH better than the one that xTool has
Glad you think so! I really appreciate the positive feedback
How do you get the gantry to move freely like that when its on? Im using lightburn, is that why mine isn’t free to move?
I'm not as familiar with lightburn but your motors might be "on" which means they will hold their current position. Are you running the latest D1 pro firmware? Might not be a lightburn issue as when I did a quick google search it comes up with this: forum.lightburnsoftware.com/t/disable-steppers/43986 ...
Where is your video on the attachment
I have been having issues with the roller/chuck
It's coming! Got a little side tracked lately but I'll have one!
Hey so I just got the same machine. However after I to to process. I don't get the origin green dots anywhere on my print. Any idea why?
Should be getting my 10w red next week. New to laser engraving but not to making things with other tools, especially intricate stuff with the scrollsaw.Trying to make the setup and start up as smooth as possible. Great video, definitely will help, thanks.
Thanks Emil! If you haven't already ordered your 10W I would super appreciate if you used my affiliate link in the video description. Thanks!
I use to laser engrave back in the day before it was cool and the machine that I used had a metal bed.
can you control the cut with, I want to do wire inlay and I need .008" and .014" thousands?
Thanks for the in-depth and straight forward video - much appreciated!
Thank you for the comment Robert!
Does the fume extractor nozzle work with the D1 10W Non-Pro?
I've got you covered! I have a listing for that on my website: embracemaking.com/products/xtool-d1-10w-fume-extraction-nozzle
Hello ! Tell me, please, what could be the problem with my laser (xtool 1d pro) is not a flash, it's new, I just bought it. What should I do?
Hi. Just ordered your laser upgrade for the venting. What does the cpap hose connect to on the other end?
Thank you for your order! Check out this video for what I'm doing on the other end of the hose: th-cam.com/video/k7qTE4t4sf8/w-d-xo.html
Thank you, I've never used an engraver machine and since my hands shake more I need one. I've watched several videos and now I just need to decide which D1, D1Pro 10W or 20W to get. Thank you
Also, I love and need the extra filtration you created
Glad it was helpful! Thank you so much for your kind words!
@@EmbraceMaking it is not the hardware I left out a driver. It works with the xtool creative software right off.
What is attached to the other end of the CPAP hose to extract the fumes?
I built a fume filtration system with a shop vac here: th-cam.com/video/k7qTE4t4sf8/w-d-xo.html
Great video! A few questions..
You don't show what is on the other end of the CPAP hose, what is that setup re removing fumes etc.
Are you saying with your setup you don't need an enclosure at all?
Thanks
Somewhere in the video I believe I put a link that pops up in the top right hand corner of the screen, but here is my other video showing the filtration system: th-cam.com/video/k7qTE4t4sf8/w-d-xo.html
My nozzle is geared more towards people who don't have room for the enclosure or are doing light work with their laser.
@@EmbraceMaking thanks for info ,👍
Is there an stl file for the fume extractor
there was lens cover provided in the tool box where does that go ?
Tip for the tutorial: watch the assembly portion all the way through because you can conserve your zip ties. Or you can go get extra zip ties before you start assembling so you can execute his assembly tips, which are good.
Thanks Timothy, yes you will definitely need a few extra zip ties for this assembly!
Lol
Im trying to find the silicone mat and its not tagged, whats it called?
Hi Moe, here is the 20" x 28" mat: amzn.to/3zDyMG7 and this one is the 23.5" x 31.5" mat: amzn.to/3A0Fzv1 thanks!
just a quick question? just upgraded from the 5w to 40w and just half way putting to together and Y-axes doesn't seen have any holes to attach my limit control bored? any advice? I'm at a lose
Is yours a pro or non pro model?
Nice smoke extractor. Will it work with air assist on? Seems like air assist will push smoke beyond the extractors effective area.
Thank you so much for the thoughtful comment! More D1 Pro content to come soon!
The link to the cpap hose has been removed. Was there a problem with it? Do any of your add ons and products I can purchase void the warranty? I find your videos very helpful.
thank you for the help and the video. machine is now connected and working
Great! Not sure how much help I could have been, but I'm happy to hear you got it working. If you have a minute to explain how you fixed it perhaps someone will come across this in the future and it might help them too. Thanks!
