I would love to see the eventual unreal engine optimization of Gex 2, Gex 3 and the original Gex (although I don't have too many fond memories of the first one because I didn't play it back in 1995/1996 AD). The wrestling opponent matchup against Rock "Steady" Hard , my nickname for him, seemed glitched out easy on purpose (I do have to wonder if it was done by mistake).
@@u.dplaythroughs8486 Is that so; hmmm, strange enough but alright ?! By the way , as a kid/tween, i missed out on the Gex craze and only now I am able to appreciate his grandeur and pomp... I played SM64, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Vexx, Malice, Croc, Banjo Kazooie , Earthworm Jim (not the 3rd one which I skipped as well for some reason). Financialy tough times called for difficult choices...do I buy shoes/clothes or do I ask for the latest platformer ?! Bug and Bubsy as honorable mention too.
@@u.dplaythroughs8486 I mean, yeah? That doesn't change the fact that every boss encounter has the same exact theme with no difference between bosses, that's the lazy part. They could've stuck to the games leitmotif while making actual boss themes to fit into the leitmotif, considering they did it with every level, and the levels are all still thematically different. It just lacks variety for me is all. Gex 2's boss themes are better in that respect. Especially the fight with Rez. That final boss theme was awesome.
Boss music in this game always got me pumped.

Is it weird that I like the european voice actor for gex in this game more than the american voice actor? I like both voice actors now.

The fuck?! N64 never showed that ending! Just his Butler turtle on a vacation, reading a newspaper and telling us the ending. This is bullshit!
64 didn't have the same abilities that PS1 had unfortunately. Not that it wasn't a fun system.

Personally, I think the first Gex game was better cuz the 2nd and 3rd wasn't that great. I do like anime stage in the 3rd one tho ^^

I'm so sad how lazy Gex 3's boss music is. Gex 2 definitely had the best boss soundtrack imo.
Well the Boss theme shares a leitmotif of the main theme from Gex 3, The overworld theme, almost every level shares the theme.

If Kao the Kangaroo can come back why can't Square revive the series.
