+Vindaloser Same here, but instead I watched my mother play. My hands were still too small for the keyboard, but if I found it again (or got the 3d version) I could probably do decent at it.
To those wondering which version is the original for those who want the most authentic Rayman 2 experience the 64 and PC ones are the original version. The 64 one is basically a port of the PC version with N64 graphics.
it's good to see the ps1 version still get some recognition. I only ever played this version and revolution for ps2 but would love to eventually get my hands on the n64 and dreamcast versions one day.
+Jak Cooper Gamer Not really. All your doing is chasing after Razorbeard while dodging various hazards. Honestly this battle drags on more then it needs too. In the N64/Dreamcast version the battle can go a lot quicker depending on how skillful you are with your shots.
This is the PlayStation 1 version of Rayman 2: The Great Eacape where it utilizes voice acting which is a final result of having half of the game missing, and some levels were completely cut out of the PS1 version like The Sanctuary of Water and Ice and The Top of the World.
I replayed the PS2 version, Revolution, recently and I can say that the PS1 version has aged much better, plus it doesn't have the camera problems that plague Revolution (which I still think is a great game)
Rayman is one of my favorites would love to see what these look in Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc style especially Jano The Cave of Bad Dreams and everything else. Anyone agree?
Rayman 2 Bosses in A Loreshell Boss 1: 0:00 A distant cousin who has separated from the evolutionary line of the robots Boss 2: 1:15 The Boredom of Polokus are the real Terror that Continuing for too long has resulted Jano was born Boss 3: 34:36 Ninjajaws lived on a continent Far away from the original Game setting Boss 4 6:35 Ly The fairy She forgot to warn Rayman not to go to the shrine of the canopy Boss 5 8:22 What if clank became a military ally for the robo-pirates Boss 6 9:33 Captain razorbeard himself will return in rayman 4
maybe bc you was very young when you played it? i remember all txt was like "hrsgwzddjut" before i learned to read. must be the same with other lang before you learned that others even exist or smt
Because rayman original was supposed to be damn difficult, the 3D sequels were supposed to be easyer( also making a 3D game that hard as the first would result in the game being too broken of the amount of the difficulty, or they could not make a difficult 3D game, I always thought 2D games were harder back in the day, but this is just my opinion)
i remember the manual said you can collect 1000 lums but i never got more than 800/800. i thought the last lums are bonus lums you can find in the black doors you see sometimes. i tryd so hard to go in any of them but never was successful. :( btw the graphics are way better than i thought but the game is still very dark and scary. had a lot of bad nightmares with rayman 2.
peter meter I pretty much didn't sleep or go out (of my own free will) in order to find them all. They were tricky! u needed to have upgraded powers to find some or my "favorite", go through a 2th portal when rocket flying in a high level to go back to one of the first levels, where I died so many times just to try to get the lums until I gave up. Or that 1000th lum in the death level, that one doesn't even show up in the collection status because it's technically dead. (Razorbeard ate it so that's why it's in the death level) It shows on the status once collected.
4:30 awh no fair, you get to explore the treasure room after defeating jano again? on the 3ds version the portal is at the room entrance and is unavoidable :(
Rayman 2 (PS1) All Bosses Boss 1 Garish Boss 2 Axel Boss 3 Jano Boss 4 Rocky Boss 5 Ninjaws Boss 6 Foutch Boss 7 Scaleman Boss 8 Clark Final Boss - Grolgoth & Razorbeard + Ending & Credits
If you didn't play Rayman 2 as a kid, you missed a gem. I played it on pc
Unless you had rayman 3
I did
i played the ds version, sadly it softlocks at a certain part from the sancturary of fire and stone
When I think about my childhood I think about this game :)
I've only ever played origins and legends...
Ninjaw's programming skills was absolutely insane. Shooting from spot to spot so damn fast, I really loved it ♥️
my mum and I played this game back when I was 5 and 6. The nostalgia is crazy, amasing soundtrack.
+Jimmy Johnson The cave of bad dreams scared the living hell out of me
Dude the boss is Mike Wazovski
Same bro. Fond memories of playing sega genesis and n64 with her.
was i the only one that got nightmares as a kid after i played the cave of bad dreams boss?
Galaxy King Nope, I was terrified of that place for 4 years as a kid
well i got nightmares from TRYING to beat that freaking boss.
I'm playing through this and that boss is glitched for me, i have no idea how to beat him because he jumps into the chasm and never shows up again.
No way, it was a scary ass level for a 6 year old 😨
Was scared of him after beating him nightmare went away. Like i actualy defeated him.
I want remake Rayman 2 for PS4
Why this if we could get a trilogy of rayman 1 2 and 3 instead?
Rayman 2 the great escape still out classes all the other Rayman games, even the new ones.
@@mmcr9835 *laughs in rayman 3*
Yeah. Me too.
Marlon Corredor Rayman 3 is better overall, but Rayman 2 has a cooler story
Always loved how all the bosses kept you on your toes in different ways... despite some of them being really easy.
I remember when I was a kid the freaking machine (where you got your first power upgrade ) scared the shit outta me
+ニクラス oh my god me too lmao
XD
Don't you guys miss this game I wanted to start it over but my 3DS stopped working so mad!!
bruh
u have a pic of it ? i dunno what u mean
Oh the nostalgia!
The best rayman game ;)
Hannes Holmlund is best rayman 3
Rayman 3
@@reeeman5781
I like Rayman 3 too it deserves a remastered version of it too.
I love Rayman 2: The Great Escape. It is an outstanding video game
Memories.. this is exactly why i want him in Smash brothers.. :)
Yes! He should, this is why ubisoft is my childhood! If he got into SSB WIIU, I'd be so happy!
+Mats-Einar Karlstad Well right now he appears as a trophy.
Rudy Udrow I know, but i want more D:
maybe in smash for switch?
Mats-Einar Karlstad they wont, because hes to fucking op
8:45 lol Rayman's face!!
Ninjaws an absolute savage… loved his battle alongside Razorbeard
The PC final boss was much harder xD
it was so hard as a kid, it srsly took forever to beat
Hannes Holmlund Yeah
Mordarg00 it was Piss easy
I think, on pc was lame, but hard because all over again if got hit once
No. 3DS has the same boss.
5:50
Was that guy moving from spot to spot and shooting at the same time? That's epic....
yea so much
iRazenrak I hated that part because I could never dodge the bullets
It's realy hard to
Outstanding programming skills in there!
Damn, I used to watch my brother play this game on the computer when I was no older than 6!
+Vindaloser Same here, but instead I watched my mother play. My hands were still too small for the keyboard, but if I found it again (or got the 3d version) I could probably do decent at it.
HA HA HA! my cousin can play rayman origins and ledgens and he's only five😂😂😂😂😂😅😃😇
I like how your punches are your main (if not only) weapon in the game and you barely use it against bosses
Rayman Remastered Trilogy for 2019/2020 anyone??
PLEASE
Rayman 4 will be developed after beyond good or evil 2 ubisoft announced but a trilogy of rayman 1 ,2 and 3 would be perfect
@thesmashbro 85 yea,i think so,but we still need to wait tho because bgoe2 isnt finished yet
Even though I want something new, A trilogy remastered would be perfect
@@Skikopl ikr
I love how they made the game playable on PSX. Yeah I know it's shorter and missing a few things, but Glorgoth Battle is kinda creative.
To those wondering which version is the original for those who want the most authentic Rayman 2 experience the 64 and PC ones are the original version. The 64 one is basically a port of the PC version with N64 graphics.
Funny how Jano's the one who gave us nightmares when he's a pretty nice guy but I guess being chased does terrified most people.
There are two different versions in the final battle?
yes ps1 is scaled down because of the disc size I'm pretty sure
Console issues
Cause disc capacity is bigger
omg this feelings that come up while watching this :D
6:46 GAH!!!!!!!!!! BRHIND YOU RAYMAN, IT'S A PYRAMID TRANSFORMER!!!!!!!!!!!
Sgt Sierra 1 d
ah its good to see childhood memories
it's good to see the ps1 version still get some recognition. I only ever played this version and revolution for ps2 but would love to eventually get my hands on the n64 and dreamcast versions one day.
I beat the game YESSS !! Yessss! A long time ago and this is so much memories
This game is so well coded, it still runs on my modern pc! (unlike Rayman 3)
The Axel boss... it was so hard when I first played this game... and later he was so easy... :)
Great video
OMFG FRIGGIN NOSTALGIA
09:39 Now THAT'S what i call a true epic final battle. Way too different than the N64 version, as much as i like that one.
+Jak Cooper Gamer Probably due to restrictions on the N64.
Yeah. Maybe.
+Jak Cooper Gamer Not really. All your doing is chasing after Razorbeard while dodging various hazards. Honestly this battle drags on more then it needs too. In the N64/Dreamcast version the battle can go a lot quicker depending on how skillful you are with your shots.
Mike Anthony Ok. It's a good point.
At least you get to _hurt_ it. The final boss of the first game just _disappears_ once you can finally punch him.
I have the DS version which was great, but I do think I like the polished music and voices with this PS1 port.
the PS1 version blows
The style of this game reminded me of Rareware's style, Conker's BFD had similar characters to this.
good playing man
This is the PlayStation 1 version of Rayman 2: The Great Eacape where it utilizes voice acting which is a final result of having half of the game missing, and some levels were completely cut out of the PS1 version like The Sanctuary of Water and Ice and The Top of the World.
The last shot for beardblade was in the nuts
Everyone: mild violence
ah yes, this brings back good memories of me playing this on my ps2, getting super frustrated that i couldnt get past the third boss.
I guess we can all agree that Jano's boss fight and theme was so damn scary
I replayed the PS2 version, Revolution, recently and I can say that the PS1 version has aged much better, plus it doesn't have the camera problems that plague Revolution (which I still think is a great game)
This end... NOSTALGIA 😭
Am I the only one who took a chuckle after ly said, "he's going to burn you!"
Raymans in this one is adorable
Fucking miss the days man
I’m playing this next I just played spiro 2 which came out the same year lol I had fun on my ps1 back in the day
The Logic
Ly:Dont be Afraid Rayman, im here
Me:Yeah ur rlly here u in the Forest and Rayman is on the Frickin pirate ship
the music for jano chase scared me more than the teeth thing
I remember playing this on the N64 when it first released. It was so fucking difficult lol.

He has a very distinctive voice.
Rayman is one of my favorites would love to see what these look in Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc style especially Jano The Cave of Bad Dreams and everything else.
Anyone agree?
Jano traumatized me as a kid 😂😂
Everyone mild violence
the PS1 version had some mild swearing in it.
I had this on the Sega Dreamcast.... Oh the memories
I hope they'll consider making a remastered trilogy of this mythical game
Rayman 2 Bosses in A Loreshell

When Ninjaws is appearing you can hear the lightsaber sound from Star Wars.
The boss called Jano is polokus
The memories
I don't know there is a boss as Ninjaws, but it looks funny fighting it.
Total nostalgia
Childhood memories,sigh,7:00 that boss fight, until now I thought it was just my dream, but I actually played it,wut
Wait what? They're actually speaking English? They always spoke gibberish when I played.
The PS1 version has voiced dialogue, none other.
Rayman's voice in this PS1 port always reminded me of Bill Wise.
maybe bc you was very young when you played it? i remember all txt was like "hrsgwzddjut" before i learned to read. must be the same with other lang before you learned that others even exist or smt
flinchfly57 thats why I love the PS1 version the most.

Rayman melhor jogo \õ/
Verdade =D
I played this on nintendo 3DS as a kid
10:00 rozorhead reminds me on a boss from donkey Kong Island..
Best game on The Ps1
5:04 is that the lightsaber sound?
Golly, remember the days when games each tried to actually be something special.
The Dreamcast had the best rendition of this game IMO. They made it easier on PS1 and added cheesy voice acting.
I'm sorry but the Gibberish is crucial
Jano freeks me out because the teath and the sound
Anyone else love Razzorbeards voice?
I remember when I fight Razorbeard it was not like this !! different scene battle ! Ps1 and dreamcast not same ?
Hello do you remember me you helped me with mario party 2 debug mode? Is this runing on a nintendo 64
When u watched ur older cousin complete the levels you were stuck on
2nd segment was creepy.
Nintendo 64 at its finest sick game
Ironically this seems a bit easier than the other rayman games which were 2D platformers.

that's right kids, the final boss is a robot piloting a bigger robot
the final boss is better than the other versions , which you shall do a no damage boss
The PS1 version of these bosses were...strange to say the least.
Can you upload the different bosses from the ps2 version
It has saliva droping off it's teeth... never noticed that. Good for me.
4:30 awh no fair, you get to explore the treasure room after defeating jano again? on the 3ds version the portal is at the room entrance and is unavoidable :(
Ever since the first game, Rayman games taught us this:
You can always save the world, but it's easier with friends 11:35
Notice how there's no (No Damage).
Edit : 3:14 Damage !
He edited the title so there's no "No damage" what a punk
Nobody cares 😀
