This os the best Reissue video on youtube so far. Have you seen the video with the guy who got a squeely, broken one? I'm curious of you are having that issue, but it doesn't sound like it. Enjoy in good health.
@@lucydiamond7777 I was able to get that squeal as well but I had to use his settings. This video is bedroom volume though. I usually wouldn’t run my gain as high as him in a band volume setting but mine does that squeal as well
Wow, dude you’re playing is absolutely awesome! In general, do you like it? I get mine tomorrow, but I’m nervous about the squeal issue that everyone keeps talking about.
@@mesaseany it’s not a big deal. I never would have known about it if not for the video and Mesa responded that it can happen with many of their amps but the spec it to where it can’t. They didn’t do that with this one to keep it original. If you believe them on that anyway. But yea I like this amp a lot and get amazing tones out of it
@ awesome man thanks for replying. Definitely looking forward to tweaking it a bunch when I get it and of course I’m gonna slam the front of it with a noise suppressor ha ha
@@michaeledwards7088 i only played the jp2c sparingly, but this does sound different. It’s simiclass so that alone is going to make a difference in sound. It’s been too long since I sat down with a jp2c to really dig into it
@@stevestevens1457 the iii actually does have a bit more grind and aggression (gain) but not a lot more. However this is a tad tighter. While it has more mids I personally feel like I can find the sweet spot easier than with the III. I only left the 750 slider in one position on that amp and this amp I move it around
@@stevestevens1457I have a few originals and the iiis are more aggressive it’s not specific to the reissues. That’s why people will send their iii in to mesa to have Mike b balance the amp out to make it voiced smoother like the IIC+. The IIC+ isn’t lacking in aggression it’s just more balanced and smooth. @@fedrek01 totally I just did it for the video. I usually only use boost for the rectifiers and Marshall’s but figured I just throw it in and out here for anyone curious
@@frontline205 Sorry man, no offense, play it like you want to play. I'm just so disappointed by the official release videos and the squeal problem. This is my favorite amp and Gibson treats everything like shit. I want this amp to be respected and Mike Bendinelli didn't deserve to be mentioned in the video as just the guy who gave Doug the knob to recreate.
This barebones demo with solid riffs and licks is very helpful. Good skills, man.
Nice! Good to see folks coming to the rescue after the terrible corporate videos of this
@@craiglizt8074 thanks man
i love the cab, I have 2 of them. One is loaded with mesa boogie v3o and the other is engl v30's huge difference. Sounds excellent sir!!
Love that husky!

Sounds great 🤘
Killer rig there !

I can hear the Pantera influence

Jesus how big is the cone on that speaker, is it just me or is it huge for a 2x12?

Have you noticed any microphonic squealing issues at certain settings?
yes but I have to set it to a level I usually wouldn't and at a volume louder then my bands volume
