    • @qazzaqstan
      @qazzaqstan 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Folding river I understand as it is an ambitious bluff and they should have a fair bit of value as long as they are jamming AQ+ instead of being truly polar. Checking back flop feels like the main mistake.
      That said if you are playing passively until that point BB can't have many flushes here without the A or Q and 3-bet pre depending on the friend dynamic you probably need to get curious at least occasionally.

    7:15 “the only thing that interacts is QQ”
    So V should never have AQ or KQ? Is that because those hands don’t 3-bet or because they fold to the 4-bet? Because I’m not sure either is true in reality, player dependent of course.

    I’m surprised Bart overfolds this river in a 4b pot holding the
    A❤ against a polarizing bet that’s mostly flushes or nothing. There’s barely any flushes V can have here, so unless he’s shoving thinly with QQ/AQ, I would be very suspicious of the river shove here.

    I didn't run a solver and take a long time to run although there are ways of locking strategy so you can have a hand in a certain spot still evaluate but either way I ran it through pokersnowie which of course gave those callers all more credit for having hands than they really should have so it didn't want you to 4bet it actually wanted you to fold preflop if you can believe that LOL but ignoring that actually like your check on the flop like the call on the turn and says to call River 66% of the time and fold 34% of the time for break even EV given the reality of the population in the fact that the big blind probably 3bet wider to get out those callers as well I think a call would be reasonable but its close either way ( population probably plays many suited hands).

    @colintimp1372 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I don't hate the check on the flop. Preflop, this is an obvious squeeze spot for the BB; so it could be decently wide. However when the BB calls the 4-bet, I think he's going to have a lot of AQ, KQ, A5 (suited), JJ and some other random hands. I think that this is going to be a "way behind or way ahead" type of spot; so especially with the A of hearts, I don't hate this check. I think that it's a slam dunk call on the river though. You're realistically only losing to AQ, the A5 suited, KJ of hearts and K10 of hearts, and QQ, and QQ would be 5-betting a decent percentage of the time from out of position; and it's hard to make a set. There's only 6 combos of AQ available, and 3 of QQ, 1 each of the KJ/K10, and 2 A5 suited. So maximum of 13 hands.

    • @user-jt2bf6ym1o
      @user-jt2bf6ym1o 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      so tough to balance though, checkback would be justified if hero had showdown value so then the Ah would remove reasons for protection... But here, it's best just to bet, clean up equity and allow for nice bluffs when the heart comes in. Way simpler strategy to execute too! You are not really getting raised and even if you do, your decision is really easy when you block their only xraise bluffs.

    Caller has probably punted off stacks his whole life. Calling a 4 bet OOp with king jack suited? that's suicide. There are players I am fine with not c betting Ace king against in a 4 bet pot. Only if it's a fish and I feel like I barely have any fold equity. When solvers tell you to c bet they assume you're playing against a normal opponent. they don't account for someone who will call down 3 streets with pocket twos since they put you on ace king (which makes up a huge part of our 4 bet range). However if I do decide to check back flop I am calling down with ace high on most boards. Like if the flop is 5,5,2. If I think he's calling my 4 bets with king jack, ace jack, king queen, pocket pairs, I'm calling down with ace high.
    The hero in this hand has probably had a lot of history with this specific caller so because of the dynamics between them I think folding ace king here is terrible. The caller is obviously not your typical opponent.
