Love CLP thanks to you I’m up 11k for the year. I’m building bankroll to up from 1/3 and $100 buy in tournaments. Thanks Bart.
Right
Nice
If you're up 11k, you should be playing 2/5 or 5/5. Competition is virtually the same....short buy like Bart says until you get comfortable. I was apprehensive to move up, but once I did, it was quite obvious I should have done it much sooner.
Lol at Bart questioning the 420 turn bet 😂

If you are dumb enough to rob a cardhouse here in SA be aware that several players are carrying concealed.
Texas has a law that confers an automatic criminal trespass (not a warning) on anyone carrying in an establishment with a properly posted sign. The only 2 rooms in Texas I've played at both had this sign posted. If you want the government to do anything, have them get rid of this absurd law. Require that owners of businesses still have to ask you to leave if they suspect you of doing something they don't like. And make the business owners aware that customers won't tolerate them using carrying as one of those things they don't like.
@@snex000 this is insane. So if i have a sign on my business that says no guns, and you STILL bring in a gun -- thats not a trespass?
@@qbertrules4394 Why should it be? We don't allow this nonsense for anything else. To be trespassed, you have to ASK me to leave and then I have to REFUSE. You don't get to just make me a criminal because I carry a certain object (that you can't even see) or dress a certain way or do anything else you happen to not like.
I think the sizing of his river bet makes it a fold. As Bart pointed out if the hero makes it a blocker size bet then gets jammed on it opens up the villain potential bluffs. It's rare to see a guy at the higher levels bluff into a big river bet. For the same reason the hero found the call button. That all in screams value.
Agreed. Even if hero block-bet river, villain raised pre, called hero's flop x/r, and called hero's big turn bet. Hard to believe he'd suddenly decide to jam over top on the river as a bluff, given the action. If villain's bluffs are so not-obvious that you struggle to find them, he's probably not bluffing.
surviving seven shots is wild. two more and you can cut a rap album like 50. hope he makes a recovery.
Or two less and cut an album like Tupac.
@@mikemck4796💀Botha you
Depends on what the gun was. 22LR will barely put a dent in you.
22LR is supposed to put a tiny hole and swim inside you?
I played 4 weeks in a Houston Legend's Poker room as an european and it felt very wild to me. Good times though.
Legends is sketchy af
That place is in the worst location.
@@dwill2476 I know hahah. Literally the nut low
Tanks for 2-3 minutes, then lands on a jam? This isn't sounding alarms to anyone else?
I was surprised Bart didn’t weight the tank at all. 2-3 minute tank/shove is very alarming and rarely a bluff. Also bluffing on a 4 liner to a straight on that runout and action is pretty rare. Also noticed Bart kept saying cutoff but dude and graphic clearly state it was the highjack 😂
Sorry, I couldn't hear you over the non-stop and insanely loud alarm bells...

I played on the stream at lodge last august. They told us that they wanted us to get escorted out by security when we left because they had someone who was playing on stream a short time before this and apparently there were some bad guys watching the stream and saw how much someone won, had his clothing description and knew what he looked like from the steam and they robbed him outside.
At that level I'd be changing clothes in the bathroom and have a sombrero hat on as I left.
You have to be insane to go back and play there again
I thought stream delays 30 seconds. You can use 30s to get out. Jk
Well that's good, you get in the car and they follow you to - where ever and rob you there. I mean if they are going to rob it's going to happen - just don't make it easy for them
I play all over Houston. I stay in underground games and always carry a gun or two... I'm not the only one... robbing a private game would be suicide.
St. Louis was the worst I experienced, and I've played around. Never in Texas though. From what I know about Houston as a town, I believe they could be just as bad.
10 dollar drop... isn't that worse than the LA games? And very illegal im guessing too?
Sounds like these Texas places only have bank security. L.A. casinos are in semi-ghettos, but they have a lot of armed security. We still have to be vigilant of possibly getting followed home though.
It's always Houston! lol
I'm in the DFW area, best of both worlds... texas poker in Dallas and winstar just an hour north.
Anytime the main bluff is pocket aces and you have a bluff catch I think you can find a fold. Hero has some 7h here which he can hero call off if he wants.
Yeah, I played in casinos when I played full time and never worried about security.
I played in Austin quite often and had too many sketchy vibes too often. I would have much more significant amounts of money on me in casino games yet felt way safer.
Get more personal freedom in Texas. Personal freedom to get robbed lol
I have a house in Houston and been to TCH Spring a handful of times. I perfer Legends I really don't like that one hand of Omaha that TCH does. Have yet to make it to the other TCH they opened not too long ago.
buddy of mine got stabbed near Maryland Live a couple hrs ago. followed to a parking lot after cashing plo for ~ 15K…sad
"Flop is like $80." "Well there's a $10 drop..." At first it's illegal, but pretty soon, it's just Tuesday. Continue with the hand.
These folks play at places that drop $10. Makes me sick, but they deserve the rake they tolerate.
BART... Texas and safety... We need "more guns" more more more... Conceal and carry and more good guys with guns... see how much it helps??
Houston (compared to other parts of the state) is definitely more of the Wild West.
Houston is a Total Cess pool. This has happened there before
After the guy said he tanked for a long time then threw in 1 chip all in i immediately told myself he has to have 97 of hearts because thats the only hand he can tank and then reluctantly believe is valued for all the chips
I could maybe see A5 hearts
I could also see 5❤A❤
Texas poker rooms are still in a gray area of the law. Yes, the Houston DA screwed it up but it shows that “the Law” could go after the poker rooms if they really wanted to. It’s why Texas poker is only in the metro areas with DA’s willing to look the other way. Very few, if any, poker rooms anywhere else in the state.
There’s a card room in almost every city from Dallas to McAllen, Beaumont to El Paso. Even my home town Corpus Christi has 2 and it is only 300k people. Poker is all over Texas
300k people is a lot of people!!! A lot. Yep. You are correct on poker rooms, to a certain extent. Locations mainly are along the interstate arteries; large population centers where DAs have higher priorities than chase gray area poker sites. Where I live, though, there are no poker rooms within 2-and-a-half hours. Non in Abilene or San Angelo; one in midland (3hours); couple in Lubbock (4hours); one in Amarillo (6hours). So, you live along I-35 or big cities, there’s probably a poker room within a couple of hours. Still a gray area according to the law in Texas. And the Houston rooms trying to push changes in the rake are likely to ruin it for everyone.
@@stephenwoodworth2590 In Phoenix, there are something like 5 million in the metro and they can only support about 1 good room and one so-so room. It boggles my mind how few Phoenicians play poker.
damn so he had you crushed no matter what more or less. It’s ironic the whole time what you really needed is for the board to brick
10$ drop / rake is illegal in Texas. 😮that why he didn't say what room he was playing.....
TBH I think this is a coinflip river decision. The bulk of our range here is straights, so we have got to fold some of them, but we can't fold all of them. No straight we can hold (other than Ah7x) has blocking properties to the flush, so just randomize.
Interestingly, if we had bet small on river, and villain jammed, we'd be getting a much worse price so we can start to fold more straights.
On the turn call, does Ace 5 or Ace 4 of hearts make sense? Thats what I'm thinking while watching
Or even off suit with ace of hearts
Lmao at the 420
The lack of oversight of cardrooms in Texas is crazy. No auto-shufflers. For sure cheating going on with all that money at stake
You are the oversight. Don't be lazy and outsource it to people who know nothing about poker. You will not like the result.
@cial67 Many people actually prefer no machine shufflers because they believe the deck gets rigged by the shuffler eventhough the dealer cuts the deck.
@@theejayzeeable that's almost impossible to accomplish. Watch videos of mechanics dealing. They can do whatever they want with the deck and nobody would ever be the wiser
@@snex000 how can you be the oversight of any cheating when the cardroom certainly doesn't care. It's in their best interest to assume everything is on the up and up. They don't listen when people talk about cheating and collusion. And they're the final word. I'd prefer them having to answer to somebody else, like a gaming commission
@@cial67 Gaming commissions give even less of a shit. Their profits are not tied to your business.
Him cbetting that flop is alarm bells
Especially at that level
I ran it in a sim, not exact sizes and bb depth, used 200bb. But this is wild. For some reason the solver says villain should fold A7 sometimes on the river. Like 90% of the time to fold A7 of ♠️. A7 clubs says 22%x A7 💎 fold 40%z Anybody know why?
For the hand break down - 7 x of hearts - I was thinking A/ 7 of hearts. If he had A of hearts 7 of spades than bravo. 7 x hand just calls, I don't think anything else other than a really sticky A/5 of hearts gets to the river
Combo draw, again!!
River jam did not sound like a bluff to me, but what was it? Some players could do the same with a set, or even with top pair (AA, KK)? A7h or A3h are the only hands I'd put V on. Well, good enough to fold, I guess.
It's all player profile dependant. In order to fold here, one has to know the V profile.
5h4h wasn’t mentioned, but it sure seemed like it made sense as well.
In the games I play in this is a FOLD all day
Seems like villain has all the nut flushes and combo-draws in his range. He could open pre from the HJ and call the flop x/r and large turn bet with all of them. When hero just flats pre, he's really removing all the best AX flush draws from his range. Hero's x/r on flop and large turn bet make it look like 2-pair, sets, or flopped straights, plus maybe something like bottom or middle pair with a flush draw, like Ah4h.
I'm surprised villain jammed over the top with just the 9-high flush. Seems like it would just be a call. But as played, villain has so few bluffs when he jams over hero's river bet. Even getting 3-1, when you're struggling to find your opponent's bluffs, you should fold.
Hard to find bluffs when the one liner on the river comes in. Not being results oriented. 79hh was the first value hand I thought of
I was thinking Ah5h. Surprised villain jammed with just a 9-high flush. I'd be worried hero had Ah4h. With villain's hand, I'd just call.
Is it just me - doesn't 9h7h seem pretty wide to open in HJ, then also call hero's x/r on flop and big turn bet? Not that I love hero's play here, but I definitely don't love villain's flop call, turn call, and river jam. It seems somewhat spewy, no?
With all due respect, Houston is pretty ghetto. There's crime everywhere, very rampant. I've played all over Texas and Houston seems like they're the wild, wild west. They do whatever they want. I'm in DFW area, TCH here is very nice and secure.
I play in Los Colinas, love it.
me too

I think that was a check call on the river

Someone got shot at my local gas station. Now we have more regulations and taxes on gas stations.
I disagree think if you node lock this spot we would go massive on the turn. Think OOP is polar, has range and nut advantage at this point and all value bets beat over pairs. On the river I could see a block making sense
Anyone want to lay odds on the “authorities” catching the perpetrators?
H had him till river. 4:42 yes, it was either 3bet or fold pre.
Could the villain be raising with a 7 and they chop it up if the hero calls? Or is the villain only raising flushes for value here?
@CrushlivePoker - if hero bets $450-$500 on river, and villain jams, is hero supposed to fold or call? Is checking really never an option here, when villain might want to bluff on this river card? Say hero checks, and villain bets 2/3 pot ($850-$900). Hero can bluff-catch with his straight, and win more than he would if villain called his block bet, or lose less than he would if he block bet then called villain's jam, or if he just check-folded to an over-bet. How often is villain going to check-back on the river after he raised pre, called hero's flop x/r, and called hero's big bet on turn? What is he checking back with that's worse than hero's straight and would call hero's value bet?
Is this a repeat Bart. Seen this before I thought

Don't you hate it when the card that makes your hand also breaks it.
Yeah they talk about it in super system 1 tricky spots
Half size pot and call his shove and live with it.
Instead of getting the government involved, these TX poker rooms just need to take down the stupid signs they all have on their doors preventing their players from protecting themselves. You know the signs I'm talking about.
None of those ideas protect people from getting followed home. Maybe live streaming is better with a 24 hour delay.
@@ligafftheindifferent3495 If you get followed the whole way home, it's because you're an idiot who isn't paying attention.

This is the very reason to exercise your God given right to arm yourself. There would be a lot less crime in this world if everyone did this.
Who, honestly, relies on someone else for their safety? When you truly can't. USSC has ruled many times that police are not obligated to protect you. They even show it with their behavior since their safety is more important than yours.

Gotta love people playing 10/7, then call in like they're geniuses for playing that trash bc they win the hand... bravo 👏
10 7s is a great defend calling a late position open and closing action. He was ahead pre, ahead on the flop, and ahead on the turn.
He lost.
@@adampawlowski4303 The problem with hands like 10-7 is that all your flushes are so easily dominated, all your made straights are so obvious, and a lot of your straights are going to be second best (like when your opponent has 9-7 here, or when you lose to QT when the flop is 89J). It's okay to defend and play a small pot with it if you make a marginal hand, but you need a monster to play a big pot with it.
I think the caller lost.
