The Wow retail leveling experience is not hard. Like at all. You can nuke everything with almost no effort. I run dungeons as a healer and don't really even need to heal. Everyone is a god. Now I realize this changes at end game and is likely a side effect of the scaling but it's soo easy to level it gets boring. I started playing in Burring Crusade back in the day. Played all the way through into Dragonflight but really started spending my time in classic when it came out and moved away from retail. This weekend I came back and started a new priest for giggles and that has been my experience at least. I am hopeful that the Pandaria changes will have a better leveling experience.
I wouldn’t say it’s hard, nothing about jumping into the game as a new player is hard, but I can see how it is overwhelming. You’re learning a million new things in such a small span of time, and that can be enough to turn a lot of people off.
You clearly haven't tried BFA dungeon as a videogame begineer, I played with a friend and his gf, she was killed or almost oneshoted by every single mechanics
@@Wellshemyeah the idea of sending new players to BFA and it’s dungeons isn’t good at all. Once I was leveling a paladin and had to stop the dungeon and explain the mechanics one by one with the group. We kept playing together until they reached max level and learned most of the dungeons.
I think the word should be “meaningful” instead of hard or easy. The leveling should be thought of a meaningful part of the game. The way it is today, there’s a clear feeling that they want you to rush through it, and that’s why most people feel like wasting their time.
