That s incredible... all youtubers trying hard to simply replicate Polyphia´s riffs and you deconstruct and reharmornize the whole song as if nothing...and in an acoustic guitar! (indeed lots of work behind scenes, but the result is great) clearly classical, jazz and flamenco years of training pays off when showing such high level of virtuosity and makes the hardest things look so easy... also great to have you back making great videos, this one is from now on one of my favorites...
The awesome thing about polyphia, is that you end up subscribing to a ton of very talented people doing covers that aren't simple renditions and that are as great as the original song

Lucas, I'm hardly one to comment on videos. But I felt compelled on this one to congratulate you on your amazing guitar skill, music theory knowledge and fresh content creation. Seriously, you're another level.
Classical guitarists have always been more technically proficient at the instrument than electric guitarists as electric guitar as electric guitar music is typically arranged with accompanying instruments in mind where as classical guitar approaches piano in the sense that classical guitar usually has no accompaniment, relying on the guitarist to cover all of harmony, percussion and bass. Different skill sets so you cant really compare the two and both fill different niches of phonic production and possibility but at least as far as technical ability (which as an aside is the single most useless metric for music as art is supposed to be concerned with a conversation with the observer, not a lecture on how good the artist is), classical guitar wins every time
@@bigf0ot25 yea, Tim Henson is classically trained and used to play in a youth orchestra, but, his style grew (after learning to play rock/metal) to include the rest of the band (who are also really talented) so it's a given that solo Guitarists who are used to playing solo are more proficient on their own. As a whole though playing as a band lets you elevate your music as it's less restrictive with the amount of options you have. Though, it does restrict you in a different way, because you have to balance all the instruments, but it's easier when you have multiple experts in those instruments to help you.
tim henson carries obvious classical guitar influences in his playing. but yes, classically trained guitarists are generally a very scary thing for rock guitarists. and people who cross over from classic to rock/metal find everything there insultingly easy :D . you have to give it to rock and metal, in how they are really good at selling their "virtuosos"

Once the jazz made itself present, it brought back whisps of forgotten memories of guitarist Andrew White's 'Peppino Noire' and 'Spanish Gentleman", and even a little bit of 'Minor Swing' from the Chocolat movie (orig. Django Reinhardt, updated interpretation by Rachel Portman for the film) all from quite a few years ago at this point, but wrapped all together with your skill it sounded incredible and a lovely unique take on the song! Augmented can work using it as a Dominant chord function back to the tonic most of the time. So like a sub-dominant chord. Generally speaking ofcourse.

Augmented can work using it as a Dominant chord function back to the tonic most of the time. So like a sub-dominant chord. Generally speaking ofcourse.
