Both of these power supplies have an SFX to ATX adapter and these both have standard motherboard headers and both have standard power supply connectors. My only concern for the Loki is if you plan to use the RGB because only Asus aura sync and an ARGB type headers to the motherboard will work for that part.
I think the store is doing more "assuming" than anything. I can stick the Loki into a computer case from 10 yrs ago.
Before you buy:
Cables are FAR too short, they provide you with an adaptor to fix in bigger cases, and guess what, all cables are the wrong size!
The connectors coming out from the power supply are FAR too small, they are not the standard same connector size as the ones going to motherboards for example, they are HALF THE SIZE, find replacement!
Returned, I said I won't buy COrsair again some years ago and yet I'm an idiot!
Corsair Type 5 cables are needed for the SFX-L (SF850L and SF1000L) You can order longer Type 5 cables for the psu in a larger case.
Or just avoid for non-SFF cases
Normal ATX RMx series Corsair are usually type 4
Thanks. You’re the only one testing for coil whine. I’ve returned three Corsair RM series units due to the whine, and now I’m considering an SFX, but I’m dreading being disappointed again.
@@e79905 i've tried many many more power supplies since this video. SFX is all going to have whine from my experience. Tried 5 SFX power supplies. Spme with more and a bit less and 2 with whine when the computer is idle. I have a new ATX, I'll be testing in 2 weeks, I am literally out of town working at a construction site. AND the Nvidia 4000 series is particularly bad for inducing coil whine due to high switching speeds.
Amazing
