Totally plug and play. When I connected when doing that fan noise test or any time I connected it instantly the drive letter showed up. It just works. It works as simply as a thumb drive. I had my m.2 working as a storage drive already and also my Samsung 990 pro that I show was directly used in my computer already. The Western Digital drive I purposely erased to a state like it had been a new device from the store. Under that situation like any other M.2 or Hard drive there is that one time setup required that I show in this video.

More specs could tell me more... If some of the AMD drivers weren't completely gone that can happen. DDU can fix that. Other problem could be if you got an MSI B650 motherboard, it sometimes fights with Nvidia cards and memory. Most likely I think would be simply the old AMD drivers or it temporarily switch to CPU built in graphics.

Those temps are way too high. i wonder if the X570 you used the same bios I made a video on about the MSI B550 having a super crazy hot bios version, I was afraid my CPU was going to fry, so I downgraded the bios till it was fixed with a newer one.

@sparketech its just MSI... they use terrible VRM component, unless you get the flag ship models, but the offerings from Asrock and Asus seem to be much better, for an extra £80 I picked up the asus Crosshair formula 👀, comes with a liquid cooled VRM option, but even without liquid it stays way under 80°C... I checked it with a FLIR camera... 65°C average even when pushing it to the max. With the MSI motherboard all the heat seemed to be coming from the doublers in the VRM, all that heat was impacting the max ram frequency as well... I couldn't get it stable above 3400.. even 3400 was hit n miss... moved the ram and 5950x to the new board and im getting 3800 daily use, zero crashed since swapping it over

@@Denbot.Gaming I made a mistake it was the B550 that had the super hot bios which was later fixed. Hardware unboxed states otherwise with most MSI motherboards in their VRM tests. Recent Asus boards especially entey level have the worst VRMs, even worse than Asrock... According to the tests of Hareware Unboxed and Steve at Gamers Nexus. From my experience with the multitudes of MSI products I had purchased over the last few years the problem with MSI has been their horrible programming issues that often bricks devices and their cheap monitors that often die after 1 year of use. The heat sync on some of there motherboards don't even have fins for heat disappation making the metal used more of a heat spreader and not effective for heat removal

After uninstall does the problem remain? If so reset monitor in OSD menu. If still issues try Nvidia or AMD control panel setting

Memory doesn't always mix and match well. At best the speed is going to be based on the slowest memory. Sometimes even having to reduce the speed of the slowest. AMD systems tend to have issues runing with 4 sticks of memory. Always best to purchase one matched memory kit which makes it that even 4 sticks is more likely to work. Even the identical memory purchased in different packages aren't guaranteed to work to spec listed. Maybe if you reaet the bios the system is going to figure it out... But no matter what it is only going tobrun based on the slowest so you might be able to get ir work based on lowest speed 3200mhz with slower less tight timigs to ckoser of the memory that is higher speed with less aggressive timings.

If you can't take anything negative about anything watch the channels that sell you stuff without being truthful. The fan blades are more fragile than any other fan I have ever reviewed. The center columns have more wobble than any other fan I have ever used. The 3 pack RGB fans I reviewed last week are less than half at only $40 USD and doesn't require a hub and is more case compatible and the blades are stronger. Molex really isn't that much cheaper if not actually more expensive... The great aspect is the thermaltake swappable fan blade design IS super smart.

I think I left that part in my pinned comments about the battery. Mine died 3 months after arrival but this board still sucks with the RTX4070 regular with low boot times and go into your bios 2 times and watch what happens. Bye bye bios ubtil you reset the bios. This is the only garbage motherboard out there like this. And my DDR6000 sometimes runs black screen despite the replacement batter. Set to 5600mhz it is now fixed or I go to an old bios. Again garbage motherboard I intend to not buy an MSI motherboard again for years to come if ever

@@sparketech becauae you dont know how to set in the bios, i use rtx 4060 ti 16gb, ryzen 7 7700 PBO enanched boost 3, 32 gb ddr5 6200 non XMP or EXP, MCR enabled, and boot in 4, 5 secs, on M.2 gen 4.

@@ALE79-88 LMAO, I certainly do know how to set a bios. No brand, none requires the Dumb MCR type settings again I mentioned that in my pinned comments, and had it pinned for over half a year about MCR to enable. But "enhanced boost 3" that I never heard of. Again MSI is trash, and shouldn't require anything other than EXPO or XMP period!

@@sparketech I'm even more convinced that you don't know how to set it properly, because to me like others it works perfectly you just need to know where to put your hands, about EXPO, XMP, I don't use them, I use the memories set to 6200 CL30 and they work very well, tested the whole pc for hours under stresst the system is very stable, The only drawback I had was a dead CMOS battery. Now I've updated the BIOS to the latest version and it's even better than before.

@@ALE79-88Just cause you're system is good doesn't mean everyone's is good. Grow up and realize different configurations makes for different results. I ran my own business doing computer repair. Contacted MSI support they were no help, maybe the first batches had a flaw but to this very day look at the comments every few days is another person with another problem. Maybe you should try my system if you're so smart, i tried 5 yes 5 different memory modules, all my M.2 memory changed since, changed the cmos battery cause at one point the clock wasn't keeping time. The latest bios is fine with my memory at 5600mhz and otherwise works great after the dumb memory context restore. If I go older bios I can do 6000mhz but my 7900 runs way hotter at 6000mhz memory than it does at 5600mhz so I'm gonna stick to 5600mhz.

What I find crazy is the 1000 series has an update, the 3000 series has an update and even a couple of the 4000 cards but notbthe 2000 series of RTX. Sometimes memory can make the bios go blank, since your Intel you do not have the MSI B650 motherboard bios issue. Are you using the newest bios? Have you used any other diaplay connection on your GPU or displayport changedbto HDMi or the other way around. If you connect your tower to a regular TV I bet your bios might show. I always like to make the joke if you get an F CPU you are F'ed 😂

If people want less coil whine the 4070ti Super 3 fan design is better. Some people do worry too much... People like me enjoy near total silence. This OC card isn't going to get you 2 to 6fps more in OC mode try 0.5 to maybe at best 1fpa more. It is only. 30hz overclock of core speed only.

@@sparketech no I'm not saying it gets you more then that. In talking about real world comparisons with the regular 4070 super dual OC 12gb edition. Not the evo either that one is worse. But in real world comparisons it got on average 2 to 6 fps more then any other dual fan gpu on the market from sites that test them. Again though not the evo model that has smaller fans aka 90s not 100s like the normal dual does. It also utilizes older fins they need to get rid of so they threw those on. Luckily none of that is on the none evo edition. I hate how sneaky asus is with that stuff. So anybody buying a dual should always get the none evo oc edition. Not the evo!

Thank you. The Fujifilm fanboys get mad about my honesty. I have a newer revisit on my other channel. Single person auto focus has greatly improved with new firmware but product auto focus is a joke compared to Sony and have never found any solution to the webcam mode problems.

The Motherboard bios has fan speed control. It's beautiful that these work exactly the same control way as any normal computer fan but PWM control is the important thing to use. I never ever use software fan speed control ever, storage space, takes up memory and slows boot times. Does anyone have any software fan speed control to suggest?

Most downloadable motherboard software has some form of fan control.

My pinned comments should be useful to answer your questions. This board also seems to have memory issues. If set to 6000mhz set to 5600 and sell of the blank screens persist... Also if you disconnect and reconnect your display cable the screen is actually showing.

And there is a firmware update for the RGB to be installed.

@@sparketech Thanks! I’m am set to 6000 currently I’ll try 5600 but I think Eve at non OC ram I was having the issue. So pretty confident based on all this nonsense it’s the board. I’m going to replace it with an Aorus Elite and eat the cost I guess

Not certain if you are asking how it is today compared to other options or something else. Compared to other ultrawide monitors this is still a good option. For speed and image quality OLED is far better. OLED requires screen saving mode to be turned on from time to time which is inconvenient and one reason I still own an IPS monitor. I no longer use ultrawide because some content like TH-cam has black bars on the left and right sides.

@@filipjusta the 2022 model, the new 2024 OLED is brighter. Also keep in mind that Dell monitor is QD-OLED and has no polarizer, meaning bright light makes black look gray. Not a big issue, simply something you should know. Also the DW and the DWF models both have firmware that you would want to update for the best experience. The DW is a good option, the newer model is 4K resolution and text looks less blurry. OLED has a bad pixel layout for reading text... Has slight purple and green text edges

@@filipjusta OLED is far better for gaming and HDR compared to any IPS monitor.

I take it you are NOT using an RTX4000 GPU. Also enabling MCR actually makes the motherboards a bit less stable. It might feel rock stable but it won't be as stable as an Asus or Gigabyte system with memory Context Restore enabled. Which GPU are you using with your system?

@@sparketech I am using 4080 Super FE. I am not defending the board by any means as I just got the board and if this gives me any issues I will return it. But at the moment everything seems stable. I have the new Dominator Corsair Ram which is in the QVL list. I am running Expo 1 with 0 issues. Expo 2 however was unstable.

@@hassanaslam6008 Awesome, thank you for sharing. I never tried the Corsair Dominator memory, most people with issues are G.skills and often RTX4000 cards with issues. Not sure if founders (Nvidia) directly helps anything. Also not certain if the storage drive type changes anything. Always booted from M.2 drives. Are you running an old bios or a newer version? The agesa was one of the best versions with Memory Context Restore enabled.

Did you read my pinned comments to see the fixes. Once you enable EXPO/XMP it takes almost 10 minutes to boot the first time. It isn't the motherboard that is trash. It is their bios programmers that are doing a trash job. I don't plan to ever purchase an MSI motherboard again. At least not until the company learns how to smarten up and hire proper programmers. Maybe they'll figure it out in the year 2030 or something.

The problem with Decibels is where and how far the sound is measured and the tone of the sound. That is why when I show the sound I leave it at the same sound level as my speech. I prefer the Winix C545 over this unit BUT it doesn't auto restart after power loss. Reason the C545 doesn't have motor noise. The winix C545 (sold at Costco) is based on the same design as the Winix Zero-s

Shark is built better (Stronger) but the Winix I believe is going to filter smoke better. The plasma wave tech does a better job at catching small particles. And I "think" winix unit is going to remove more VOCs. The Shark "might" be better with regular house dust... I expected more from an expensive purifier for removal for smoke.

@@user-oe8pd4rn4b almost all air purifiers have the prop 65 warning even if they contain some form of ionizer... What concerns me is when the filter itself is prop 65 because that means a hazardous chemical agent was used to make the filter. Very cheap filters often contain formaldehyde.

@@user-oe8pd4rn4b there are a ton of Chinese cheap brand air purifiers that get away without the prop 65 warning. Even plastics can get that warning. Technically all products that are fire retardant are a cancer hazard. By law USA and Canada have fire retardants that cause cancer in all seating furniture, light switch plates, mattresses... All in the name of fighting fire spread. Even BPN In-focus powder is prop 65 cause it contains the same poison as regular apple seeds. Safe in moderation... And safe to eat apple seeds unless you go off and eat over 100 Apples seeds for one meal. Is it possible the filter has a chemical? Sure, but Sharks lists no where the reason, at least BPN (Bare Performance Nutrition) lists online why In-focus is listed as prop 65.

Carbon fiber filters are specifically VOCs. On my work site I am using the Shark for 500sq.ft rated. There were forest fires in northern BC Canada and it certainly didn't work very well for removing the fire smoke. Where I work is not my studio so I cannot side by side compare them. for the C545 in the video description I have upgraded better carbon filters. The Shark finds even an ultrasonic humidifier as dirty air. The shark on auto mode is way more sensitive to particles than the shark. The shark is going to cost more for replacement filters. Both are silent, Shark does not have an ionizer or "plasma wave" as Winix calls it. Shark is a nice build quality but I still have to find out how well the outer pre filter of the hepa filter works for collecting fine particles. Been using the Shark for one month so far.

The setting is simply located in a different spot or named differently. If you go into the description of this video you will see my newer video with far better instructions on settings and testing

This card does fine keeping cool but the new Ti Super versions with 2 fans are indeed running hot and loud. But the newer cards indeed have more coil whine. The 3 fan Ti Super version despite more power draw likely has less whine because the 8 pin connector is nearly maxed out. The 12 pin +4 adapters can do up to 600watts but melt at around 400watts power draw :p. The Ti Super is about 280Watts on the top end

Which exact model is your motherboard? IXT version? The bios always lists the agesa version with the bios version... If you have a very old bios it can destroy the CPU. The ryzen CPUs do run HOT especially since you have the "X" version. I have the non X making your 128watts vs my 65 watts version. You need a good cooler for these CPUs especially if you are running DDR6000 or higher the temps skyrocket.

@@LazarusProject1997 maybe before you update the bios download CPU-Z which is CPUID. It shows the "exact" model of the board by name cause MSI has an insane # of versions. The name you provided does not take me to any one board... The program also tells you the bios date and version. You may know the exact board (flashing the wrong bios can be very bad if you don't). Either way CPUID is a cool tool that tells your memory speed as well. If you have a bios flash button you can restore even a messed up bios. I have a video on how to use the bios flash button... Most people don't realize the bios needs to be renamed for it to work.

I am using these fans as intake and I show what it looks like when you blow the air out of the case as well. At 7:32 in the video I show how it looks both directions.

LTC is releasing new fans for air intake in a few weeks. They just contacted me to let me know. I asked about a reverse air flow fan option weeks ago. I'm happy that option is coming.

Hope you found this video very informative. Most people don't realize just how bad things got for AMD during this time period. There are a few things I didn't note in order to make this video shorter. Just days after AMD purchased ATI technologies Intel released their new core CPUs that vastly improved performance. Intel quickly began to take back market share from AMD.

Odd. Did you update the firmware yet? It fixes a lot of issues. Look up firmware 041 I have a video on many of the improvements including the best settings to use. If the update and settings I recommend does not help then I would wonder if the monitor has a problem despite using the included display port cable. The default settings out of the box are trash.

Thank you... The second part is where things really get interesting. I spoke everything more fluidly in part 2 but it's crazy to see how close AMD came so close to losing everything.

EVGA Supernova 850W exact model is within several of my comments. I don't like the fan noise and replaced the fan with a noctua slim 92mm and cut the cable and attached the power connector... The color codes don't fully match. I am an electrician by trade so it is easy to figure out. When you got it correct the fan spins for a moment on power on... It still has coil whine with the RTX4070 GPU i have but is silent when idle. For total silence with an SFX PSU I have found none. For supper size the Seasonic Prime XT, Bequiet Dark power 13 are a couple of quality options.

​@@sparketech Thanks I appreciate the detailed reply and will take a look at the EVGA Supernova. What I did notice about the ASUS is that the 1000W version is quieter than the 850W version, I'm not sure if this is related to revisions or a general difference.

@@cptcrogge the 1000W version may have larger over built transformers and or a larger capacitor, both items help reduce resonance frequencies that can happen.

@@sparketech Right, I suspected as much. However, there is another difference (I will test this again to verify), the 850W version keeps the fan on indefinitely which means the noise will remain active until the PC goes to sleep mode. The 1000W version will turn off the fan after a while. I guess they use a different fan controller firmware. I hope that we will get better SFX PSUs in the future, I love building small but powerful PCs.

@@cptcrogge I had to the 850watt version which I used in this video. The fan wasn't always on, if you're computer is a power hungry beast than maybe it'll stay on if your system idles at over 350watts. In the manual it says something about a setting to make the fan always on or not. my PSU didn't appear to have such an option, it was also auto fan off.

Couldn't believe it myself. I have a 3 part History of AMD as well, about a 1 hour long series. These history videos are an insane amount of work.

I am a TH-camr myself . I know how long it takes to make even a 8 minute video.

@@thegaybear research was far more work any any TH-cam video. The VP only answered some questions I had. This video was about 80 ish hours of work. The History of AMD series was nearly 3 months of full time work.

@@sparketech I recently got into vintage computing. I was around in the 1990s and I hade a few really great classics. Pentium 1, 90mhz and a 486 DX2 66 or DX4 100 I can't remember but they went in the trash as I got older because I saw them as junk. Now I realise how cool they were and I have also learned about what was happening between AMD and Intel at the time. I now realise that the Pentium was just a 586 but they did not call it the 586 because they tried to trademark the name 486, 586 and they were denied by a judge so they called there 586, 686 the Pentium so they could trademark it. The AMD 586 was faster then the Pentium but |I guess Intel were just good at marketing so we all brought Pentiums.

I recently brought an unopened copy of Windows NT4 which was the business version of Windows 95 and I never know there was a business version of Windows 95. I am currently setting up a old vintage machine not connected to the net with all the old software on it, office 97, photoshop 7 because honestly, sometimes I just want to write a letter or make a TH-cam Thumbnail and I don't want 100 distractions while I work.

​@@thegaybear the AMD K6 CPU was slower than Intel Pentium the 300Mhz was the performance of the Pentuim 233Mhz but the K6 II was a nice jump to gaming performance with the 3Dnow instruction set and the K6 III was buttery smooth due to extra cache... I could only get local dimming working when I enabled HDR. You must have missed my firmware update video firmware 041 huge improvements and you'll find out you do NOT want local dimming ever with this monitor. With the firmware update local dimming can be disabled in HDR, response time is improved, colors are improved and more.

Ummm don't know if they sell remotes alone but if you buy another pack all remotes work to control all the strips. If you have 10 packages that one remote controls then all even connected to different USB ports.

Can you even get a HUB for these? Would you use a HUB from Bequiet light wings 3 pack or something. I personally hate hubs. I wouldn't use a HUB, you would still have the exact same number of cables. A HUB works for extra power and usually requires the 7 pin on the motherboard USB 2.0 header. Here's a little secret you can use that header to give yourself 2 extra USB ports like I did. Why did I do that, because most computer mice and keyboards ARE USB 2.0 to this very day AND because sometimes even my MSI B650 AM5 motherboard gives me mouse stuttering under high load or at windows boot up... But not when using the USB 2.0 ports. Now I get a better experience and no HUB. If you want to get a HUB it is up to you, let me know your experience if you feel it is worthwhile. Also a HUB takes away the motherboard individually fan header control (controlled in the bios). I would recommend a low noise adapter if you want lower fan speeds and you can use the bios to make your own fan speed curves.

@@sparketech What I mean and I should have clarified a bit better is the 3 pin 5v rgb. I have enough fan headers, but I only have two 3 pin 5v argb headers on my motherboard (MSI Pro Z790-P) If i'm running 9 fans like i'm planning to could I daisy chain all 9 to run to use the existing 3 pin headers. Or would I need some kind of converter or hub ?

@@spentcasing3990 you can daisy chain the ARGB. I did that with my old light wing fans using 4 120mm and 2 140mm and had them all working off the header. Sadly LTC doesn't list the power draw of their ARGB cause I think most headers are rated at 2 amps each. A motherboard manual usually lists that information. Including fan headers. My rad pump i believe would allow me maybe even 9 fans on a header if there 6.5watts is accurate. On my CPU header I may be limited to 5 if that 6.5watta is true.

@@spentcasing3990 it appears most fan headers are 1 amp at 12 volts meaning max 12watts per fan header. My radiator header on my motherboard is I believe 2 amps. As for the ARGB those headers are all the same 5 volts 3 pins. I am doing a revisit video possibly in 1 or 2 months. LTC is releasing more fan options and am going to be interconnected the 6 fans from them. Fan headers and ARGB headers that are thr same pin out are always the same voltages if that answers your questions. At the time of making thia review I didn't have time tonget into the fine details I work out of town 2 weeks at a time as an industrial construction electrician with only 6 days off to make my reviews for this channel, my Studio channel and I work with an actor that has 291,000 subscribers... And was studying for an electrical IP exam. This week I am reviewing a ton of products and am going to bebworking morning till night every single day off of work.

I have two videos on reasons your computer won't boot but I need more information to help, you have a different issue. Is this a new build? Did your issue happen after updating cause a bad bios flash can make your situation happen. If the memory wasn't fully seating fans if I remember correctly spinnat full speed (as listed in video 2 of why your computer won't turn on / won't boot. CPU not installed correctly could make the same problem. Or even the power button to the motherboard could be not connected correctly or even a dead power button.

@@sparketechit recently started happening last Friday. There was a power outage. It was out till like I believe 4 AM and ever since my PC has been acting up. Only with the fans not spinning and when I play games after like 5 minutes it shuts down completely I’ve had this pc for about 3 years

@@xxlllx Odd, sounds like you had a power surge which can most certainly damage nyoyr computer. Does your CPU fan work? Do any fans work? CPU overheating can do the same thing. A GPU overheated usually causes a crash, visual artifacts and hard locks. A damaged power supply tends to run hot and can make the GPU and CPU overheat. Power supply fan still working? If your motherboard fan headers failed there are PMW fan to SATA power adapters you can get. Also I reviewed piles of RGB fans only 2 of the 5 use motherboard fan headers.
