Super helpful. It's been 8 years since my last build, and I didn't know what a 12VHPWR cable was, why I only had 1 of them, and why it looked different from the 2 cables I used to connect my 3070 Ti. You cleared everything up, and even used the same motherboard I bought!
I bought this psu it’s first week of release and love it. Only con is the micro cables included. So darn short!! I ended up buying longer ones via Corsair website.
The cables seem rather short will they have enough length to be used in a standard sized case where the PSU and connectors are on the opposite ends of the case?
Hello sir, so, i have problem with UPS APC BX2200MI-MS that cannot use modern Power Supply that has "Active PFC" because simulated sine waves stuff. when checking some product i found this "Corsair SF1000L" does not have "Active PFC" which is good, kind of planning to buy this one in future how much do you recommend Corsair SF1000L for my case? i also found out that Seasonic Focus doesn't have APFC, just another option but cost more previously i use Seasonic Prime PX-1000, but it has APFC and now it dead
This PSU grinds my gears. ITX folk seem to like to venture into new cases and I made the mistake of buying this PSU but when I got remotely too large, it just didn't fit. It's borderline ATX, maybe mATX, but it's hard to put it into mini ITX cases.
Since Corsair only has a SF750, it's an interesting product. Most 4090 are 450W and in my NR200 ITX build I use 850W SFX Revolt from Phantek and it's plenty. Coolermaster has an 1100W and 1300W unit. The real question is is it any good?
@@ayyublakhani2584 I think its gonna be me, why because it is one of the best performing power supplies and is about £50 cheaper than the competition. An extra highlight is you will have increased space in your case to put cables.
It's a noisy boi... i was playing RDR2 and i thought my GPU was going nuts and blasting fans at 100%, but no... Then i checked my case fans, not them either. the source of the noise was this PSU. It gets loud! My build is pretty similar to the build referenced in this video.
The cables are atrocious. Way too rigid for an ITX build. Of course Corsair sells braided cable sets separately instead of including proper cables with the PSU. I'm quite disappointed in Corsair for this.

Glad it helped
That SATAx4 cable is short af. I'm glad I looked at a video for it before I got the build fully together. Gonna have to find some sort of extension.

Short ones are ideal for itx though
@@TheProvokedPrawn I agree but I wasn’t using it in an itx 🤣

It's designed for small form factor cases. So not advisable for larger ATX cases.

Can i use cable extensions of my choosing to plug into the psu cables, or do they absolutely have to be type 5 cables only?
The cables don't look very long, I'd like to use this in a atx case.
It's a small form factor power supply meant for small cases. Don't use it with atx
@@TheProvokedPrawn It comes with an atx adapter

Shame they didnt include the better quality, more flexible braided cables ala sf750x in this one.
Can you share some feedback about the noise? seems like last models from Corsair did not followed the same setup curve than 750 series

best of luck getting type 5 cables.
Gosh those cables are ugly. They needed to provide braided cables like the SF750.
yes!!!!!! they should have 100%
They should be not bound together, but loose like rog loki 1000 has.

CAN YOU INSTALL THIS INTO THE DELL AURORA R12 EASILY ?
Too bad these cables are not flexible which is kinda hard to do a cable management in a small ITX case. And these are too long for me.
cables seems way too short...i was thinking of using it in my normal cabinet..

There's only 4080 and 4090 above this basically, so yeah...

Really disappointing to see corsair go to these cheap ugly cables on this high end unit when they provide sleeved cable for their 750W sfx psu...
Why include them when they can sell them to you.... I love corsair but that's a scummy move especially for the price of the PSU.
