    George and Mildred the ice cubes were named after the titular old married couple from a 70s sitcom. They continually got into arguments so much you were left wondering why they even bothered getting married.

    Alternate names for this video:
    1) Banjo-Tooie and the Deathly Hallows
    2) Banjo-Tooie: "You know what's wrong with *Isle of Hags* these days? Everyone is Obsessed With Death."
    Got anymore? I was always shocked at Bottle's death at the beginning of this game, and the way that theme lingers throughout the rest of the adventure.

    About the scene where Grunty's sister gets killed by the 1 ton weight...
    Rare is a British game company, right? So, did they mean for that to be a metric ton, or imperial ton?

    • @ThaneGaming
      @ThaneGaming  4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I'm going to say the imperial ton, just because it's heaviest and Grunty don't play around 😆

    I was struck hard when the Great Deku Tree died at the beginning of Ocarina of Time, there’s just something tragic about the fact that even though you beat the boss there was nothing you can do, no matter how fast you get to the Great Deku Tree, no matter how fast you go through the dungeon, No matter how fast you beat the boss your efforts are in vain, the Great Deku Tree was just doomed from the very beginning, use Mido not letting you pass without a sword and shield as a scapegoat all you want the Great Deku Tree is still doomed before Mido even guarded the entrance to the pathway leading to the Great Deku Tree, no matter what you do the Great Deku Tree dies anyway, regardless of your actions, there’s just nothing you can do to save him, and what’s worse, he doesn’t only remain dead for the rest of the game, he remains dead for the rest of the franchise, now I know there are descendants of his that also share his name, but the original is gone forever

      In the original version of Ocarina of Time (the gold catridge that contained Version 1.0 of Ocarina of Time) , Ganondorf actually coughs up red blood. In future rereleases of Ocarina of Time (including the gray catridge more commonly found on the N64 that contains Version 1.2 of Ocarina of Time) Nintendo changed Ganon's blood to green.

    • @ThaneGaming
      @ThaneGaming  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! I played the first one a lot, but hadn't touched Tooie since I was a kid and I didn't get far at all then. I remembered being a little frightened haha! It was good to revisit, how daring they were with the stakes of the plot really drew me in.
      Overall and gameplay-wise I do personally prefer Banjo-Kazooie, just because of how tight and well-designed the worlds are: Tooie is fairly enormous in comparison but there's benefits to both. Tooie has boss fights in every world, too so that's cool.

    • @Shelltoast
      @Shelltoast 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thane Gaming Yeah I've always heard people talk about how Tooie is too large, so that did kind of make me lose interest in playing it. But knowing there are so many other positives to the game, and the worlds themselves are full of character and unique mechanics, I'll definitely be sure to try it out. Great video by the way!

    • @ThaneGaming
      @ThaneGaming  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The worlds really are full of character, that's not missing from the original. I really do like how there's so much interconnectivity between them- you can take a train to just about any area of the game, and some quests carry over so multiple visits are necessary. It's super cool, the only problem is that some Jiggies require a little too much backtracking. Glad you'll be trying it out for yourself to see how you like it- and thank you so much!

      Can you elaborate a little more on what you mean by hearing my mouth moving--do you mean popping or breaths? What would you say is a good standing distance from the mic? I want to improve if it's annoying to some

    • @revinevan87
      @revinevan87 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ThaneGaming i have no idea what a good distance is since i don't use microphones pretty much ever. I'd just speak louder but further away. think of the mic as someone's ear (you know how it sounds when someone speaks softly into your ear?) I wish i could give more specific pointers. seriously too, I have to commend you for being so willing to improve on something like that. most people don't even acknowledge when brought up or they just brush it off like i was asking for money or something ridiculous.
