discovering mother 3 as a kid and learning what happened to porky was probably one of the first times I'd ever felt real existential dread it still freaks me out
I believe that to an extent Porky probably made everything in New Pork City and the Empire Porky Building as a mocking obstacle for Ness to overcome, but because he never showed up, Lucas became the next best thing. First, when you enter the Beauty and Tasty restaurant, it has all the foods you’d expect Porky to like, but the meal that stands out the most is the beefsteak. It’s the most expensive item on the menu and if you remember, Ness loved steak, but Ness’s mom said that Porky hated it. It’s like Porky knew Ness wouldn’t have the money to buy it if he got to New Pork City. However, with Lucas, beefsteak isn’t his favorite food, so it wouldn’t mean anything to him. Porky didn’t build his crazy rooms (toilet dungeon, fan room, hippo pool, etc.) in the Empire Porky Building because he loved them. He built them to show off all the cool stuff he had to Ness so that if he ever arrived, he could mock him over the intercom like he does with Lucas. The fan room was his way of showing a lot of girls like him, the toilet dungeon was to show off his golden toilet, and the hall of memories would’ve been Porky’s way of saying “Hey Ness! Remember all of this stuff? Well, it’s mine now!” But since it’s Lucas journeying through the building, Lucas wouldn’t have any vehement reaction because it would have no meaning to him. What really makes me think this is true is that in the rooms just before the 100th floor, Porky makes Lucas play silly mini-games against a tiny robot copy of himself. However Lucas needs to lose to the Porky-bot intentionally by a hair, or he won’t be able to proceed. Porky could’ve set up this exact scenario for Ness just so he could glee at the fact that he’s beating Ness. Once you finally fight Porky, one of very the last lines he says before the fight ends is, “Thank you for playing along with me all the way to the end like this. I’m actually a pretty nice guy, wouldn’t you say? Porky’s messed up, but he’s kind of thanking Lucas and the player for playing his twisted games because Ness wasn’t there. This is likely the most fun Porky’s probably had in years and from a boy who likely reminds him of his long gone next-door neighbor. If you look at it a certain way, Lucas is probably the only other kid besides Ness that Porky’s ever “played” with in his life and it’s basically boils down to who can pull the world-altering needles first. You did a really amazing job with this video analyzing Porky, along with your previous one on Picky. Porky’s a very tragic and yet despicable Nintendo villain and I wish he got a little more recognition among the other great Nintendo villains. I also wish he was a playable character in Smash Ultimate (or at the very least return as a boss) cause he’s got a lot of potential for a creative move set if his boss fight in Brawl was any sign. I know there aren’t many videos on Porky or the Mother series, so it’s always great to see new perspective videos on those subjects pop out of the blue
I had a wild thought about Porky's fate. Magicaint seems to be created from a combination of overwhelming psychic powers and love. The opposite of that would be what happened to Giygas, with hatred instead of love. What if all the hate in Porky's heart will lead to his body becoming torn apart like Giygas? The absolutely safe capsule would pretty much become a devil's machine for Porky himself if that happened.
This would make a good prompt for a sequel, IMO. Someone finds the way to finally open the Safe Capsule and in doing so unleashes the new ultimate evil. You could even write the plot about rumors of some treasure down there, the villains hoping to use that treasure to take over the world.
I think he made a deal with the devil being Giygas him being safe forever kinda embodies that u live forever if there was a afterlife. I’d think if it was brought back it would be impossible to gut porky but he would request that you do and you could have a choice to end his misery where I feel u should never make a deal with the devil never wanna live forever even without a afterlife it would just show that if u decided to go down that route you’d suffer never be able to be a kid anymore ur body wouldn’t be itself it would be kept alive by machines which it’s just a fitting karmatic ending because of what he made claus go through u see claus slips away at the very end but u see him in the credits with Lucas if u don’t pull the needle I think the credits take place in the afterlife if u do it could take place where they just have to rebuild the world, plays out completely the same either or but they r two verrrry different endings. It’s just u see claus is free from porky turning him into a solider that would hurt his own brother porky is not so lucky he is still in that capsule at the end where eventually he’ll suffer the same fate he gave claus n many of the other animals so it’s a very fitting demise for the antagonist of the franchise

8:10 funny enough in the Japanese version of the game. His apology seems sincere, but since Ness is a silent protagonist porky, interprets this silence as a form of shunning.
I think this is an urban legend because I checked the scene in Japanese and it plays out almost exactly like the English one (he still turns around and says "I lied"!). Mato doesn't mention anything about it in his book either. That's still cool to think about though, and you could certainly read it that way in either version!
I really do think this whole story of Porky's lore from both the second and third Mother games does hold true to the old proverb that monsters aren't born, they are created. And I greatly think that Porky is a shining example of that proverb. Especially with how parents mistreated and abused him through his whole life.
Damn a really great analysis i always tought that the absolutely safe capsule was gonna make him have a quick escape but the fact that he gets imprisoned in it makes it even sadder
Porky is Eric Cartman if he didn't face any karmic retribution. Cartman is often punished in one way or another for his constant misdeeds but Porky is only ever rewarded for it, so we're seeing the eventual evolution of such deeds if life never took the time to make the sinner face their dues.
Trey Parker loved the Mother series, cartman is 100% fully inspired by Porky. also, you're wrong. i've seen cartman rewarded for his misdeeds, but most of the time he loses due to his lust for power and greatness (similar to Porky)
@@KumatorasLittleCutie-Pie Same with Cartman. Cartman is often neglected by his mother, evident in his lack of real punishment, and his very unstable ego.
Even when the Earth is destroyed naturally, he'll become something between animal and mineral, floating through space forever. And though he wished for death, he was unable to die. *Eventually, Porky stopped thinking.*
I really appreciate this video. Porky Minch is one of my all time favorite characters in media ever. He’s just so endlessly interesting. I think part of what makes him work so well as a character, is that he somehow manages to be really simple but also really complex? I don’t know it’s hard to explain. Maybe it’s just that his complexity is conveyed in a simple and upfront manner? He really does feel like a symbol of humanity, as Itoi said. His life and fate feel like a fable that warns others, and helps them push themselves to be the best they can be.
I firmly believe that, when Itoi was consulted about Mother characters to include Smash Ultimate, he decided to only include Porky as the Absolutely Safe Capsule, as, like he said, he'll be in there forever.
This is a fun thought experiment but yes, he deserved it. Maybe not the infinite hellscape non-death that he ended up with, but at a certain Point your trauma is no longer responsible for your actions and he's way past that
This video reminds me of just how well-written Pokey/Porky's character is, especially his descent into villainy. It’s pretty scary that some people are just steps away from going down a horrible and dark path. I almost ended up going down a bad path too. When I was much younger, I was very miserable and lonely. People were awful to me, and in my head, it justified me being awful to others. I would lash out constantly and pick on anyone who didn't like me. My friends at the time encouraged me to continue doing bad things and it made me feel important and noticed in a way. Really embarrassing tbh. Thankfully, with the help of family and other, much better friends (who are thankfully still present in my life to this day), I was able to change for the better. But I sometimes wonder what would have happened if I did not have these people to support me. If I didn’t have any guidance or any good role models to teach me, I’d be a completely different person. I think a lot about the people I've hurt in the past and feel horrible about it. I wish I had the chance to give them a proper apology. And occasionally, I think about the friends I had who encouraged my past behavior and hope they changed for the better too. Anyways this video is peak thank you for this amazing video!!
Seeing his corruption throughout the games is haunting. Porky/Pokey is like how they say a child not embraced by the village will burn it to feel it's warmth. Except it's not a village it's the whole universe
I have lots of thoughts that I can't really form into a coherent argument right now, which tthe highest praise I can give you. It was such a thoughtful, humane video. Thank you
Porky is an almost perfect mirror foil to Ness. Ness's journey is about realizing his own power and learning to rely on others. Porky meanwhile spends the entire game sucking up to those more powerful than himself and betraying them when he cant' mooch off them anymore. And where Ness and later Lucas manage to succeed by virtue of everyone they helped on their journey coming to their aid, Porky's idea of "winning" is isolating himself forever so that nobody can make contact with him anymore, for all eternity.
You didn't mention his brother, Picky, much. It does say something that the kid is able to remain positive given that he's in the same situation as Pokey. There were people that Pokey could have reached out to if he wanted to escape the pit of despair that was his life. You can blame your parents all you want for eternity, but at some point you need to realize that other people out there have it worse then you, and decide to be good to other people. Picky is a great example, he has to deal with his shitty parents and his shitty older brother.
I always hated the stupid "oThEr PeOpLe HaVe It WoRsE tHeN" you saying. But yeah its a video game so (unlike real life) being good to other people is rewarding. In real life... not so much. People are jerks thats why i stay just with myself.
@@xenxander I get where you are comming from dont worry. I think it is just often used in the wrong way, in my opinion. Of course there is always someone that have it worse. Yet that makes the problem a person have not go away or less burdening for them. (I mean real problems of course)
Something that’s very easy to miss about Porky is that there is only one nice thing he’s ever done. If you don’t have your bat out when you go to the meteor for the first time in Earthbound, Porky will tell you to equip it. And if you don’t know how to equip your item, he’ll actually tell you how to do it. True, it’s possible he could’ve been making fun of you for not knowing basic game mechanics, but it doesn’t really feel mocking, like the same way he does when he talks to Ness’s mom.
Mother 3 is a masterpiece partly because it completely transcends its medium (old school style RPG video game) and absolutely breaks your heart. And I might be in the minority but my heart absolutely broke for Pokey. Yes, in Mother 3 he is the ultimate bad who we long to see face retribution. But in Earthbound he was just a cute, pudgy little kid from an abusive home who didn't know how to be a friend because he was never really loved. But he still wanted friends. That's why in 3 he has that yoyo under guard. And he still wanted his mama. That's why there are Lardnabots. He just wanted love and attention. Hence why he gave himself all those presents he never bothered to open. But he's so twisted up in all his hurt and anger and, like Giygas before him, he gets lost in it forever. His parents were never there for him, so he gravitated to what paid him attention and gave him "love," Giygas. I know it's just fiction, just a game. But I will always be sad for Pokey. Always.
Sadly this is too long for me to watch in the bathroom at work but I will definitely be checking this out when I got home. I didn't beat MOTHER 1 or 3 till last month so I can finally watch videos like these
Mother 3 does such a good job making you HATE Porky. Then you get to his fate….he can never die, even when humanity ends and the sun eventually dies, he’ll still be alive and forever stuck in that capsule. Personally it makes me so…conflicted. He deserves everything for his actions and yet, is this even enough or is this too cruel?
My only thing is that before Mother 3, when Porky was going throught time and dimensions, he has plenty of time to think back at what he did. 1000 to 10 000 years shoudve done the trick. The absolutely safe capsule was simply the inevitable act to keep at bay a monster from making more outrageous and sinister plans. But aside that it is nice to see a different view of the character.
In "The Great Divorce", by C.S Lewis, we see a vision of Hell, where the damned Torture themselves, by avoiding each other, out of sheer misanthropy more than anything, spending endless lives doing all they can to avoid accepting the sins they committed. In his final battle, Porky inflicts this fate on himself.
Maybe! It's worth mentioning too that his skin isn't discolored in that unused sprite of Porky in MOTHER 3. I think it's supposed to be open to interpretation like many things in this series but I would love to ask Itoi about this
Loved this analysis video. Really went into depth of the existential aspect of this ultimate fate. I loathe Porky so much. The many crimes against humanity are tremendous, so being sent inside that capsule to really have time to think about what he did over eons in solitary, couldn’t have happened to a worse petulant child.
An excellent analysis of Porky. In terms of raw evil, he’s up there with Ridley, but infinitely more tragic. I don’t think Nintendo acknowledges this as much as they should, frankly. He’s one of their greatest villains that’s ever been conceptualized. Have you done a video on Giygas at all?
@@soulubilityofficial6635 thank you, I agree with Porky being up there with Ridley! I have not made a video exclusively about Giygas yet, but I do think I'll get around to making one at some point. I think his transformation and deterioration from MOTHER to MOTHER 2 is wildly interesting but largely unexplained, and the time travel / prophecy involved with his plan is ripe for an analysis
Porky is a warning. Evil can come from the mindlessness of otherwise well meaning people and the outright neglect of others. I know you're not really supposed to feel sad for the kid but the kid that porky could have been, that's who I mourn. Sorry kid.
Honestly, Porky in his own Magicant, sounds scary, he could bring people to it in some way, and with the close ties to Giege... Who knows the insane mental abilities he may find there I belice even after feeling remorse, given the chance, he WILL take any oportunity to cause mishapps and chaos
I'm not joking when I say that I get genuine chills whenever Absolutely Safe Capsule music. There's something so foreboding and dread inducing. It's literally presenting a fate that's so horrible, lonely and just plain wrong.
I just had a thought. Porky was essentially lost in time after the world is reset. The only reason we know about Giygas being Guiege are from either Buzz buzz, who came from the future to Ness probably sent BY Ness in a John Connor moment, and Pokey saying so. What if Giygas was actually Porky all along, believing he is Giygas due to his own past beliefs, sent by Lucas to 5.5 billion years before Mother and maybe even affecting the real Guiege? What if the Evil Apple had been the Absolutely Safe Capsule all along and the Demon Machine a way to open it? It explains quite a lot of Giyhas' dialogue, why he keeps calling for Ness and saying he feels happy they are fighting. Of course, this renders all the Mother references affecting Giygas being from either that time he affected Guiege or even because Pokey remembers them doing *something*.
this was amazing! you did an incredible job with this one. When I was a kid I was a fan of earthbound and mother 3 but was always more into final fantasy but as i gtow older and now enter my mid 30s I find myself less abd less into final fantasy whatsoever and more into the thoughtful approach of the nother series and thats exactly what this video was- thoughtful. Extremely human Thanks for giving us such a good video, definitely subscribing now.
Hey that's very nice of you to say, thanks for sharing your thoughts! I'm turning 30 next year and I can relate to appreciating the human soul of this series as I age. These games and the messages behind them speak to my heart, so I try to pay that passion forward with these videos. I'm happy you can recognize that!
although it may have been extreme, i find it a very ironic and symbolic death perfect for his character and i couldn't imagine a more perfect fate. he was so desperate for a world where no one could hurt him, and in the end that's exactly what he got. nonetheless, love this video! Porky's amongst my top favorite video game villains, probably in the top three. considering i played Earthbound when i was twelve and played Mother 3 when i was sixteen, it really felt like the series grew up with me. Porky going from the moronic rival to pure evil was the insane progression of his character i never knew i needed until we had it.
I can't approve of Porky's actions, but I can relate to the childhood neglect and abuse he experienced. While I was never physically abused, my mother would always withhold love and affection and use it as a tool for control. If I misbehaved or didn't conform to what her definition of a "good kid" eas, she would revoke said "love" and incessantly berate me and put me down. The only difference between my situation and what happened to Porky is that I at least had someone in my life who truly cared about me unconditionally.
Porky's magicant could be a full Mother game. As in the whole game takes place inside and every character, including the protagonist, was born there. And winning against Porky would mean the world itself ends.
I do wish there were an alternate ending that before Porky enters the Absolutey Safe Capsule, Ness would be able to intervene with him, stopping him before he puts himself into a fate of no return. And Porky realizes the harm he has brought to the world and himself, along with his abusive parents being the catalyst. While Porky's parents have their custody permanently taken away, he later accepts whatever punishment that's coming for him, and after years of reflection and hard work, Porky becomes ready to pave his own path of redemption. Also, when is Part 5 of the dark aspects of the Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door remake coming?
One thing that I find interesting is that you never beat Porky, throughout the games when you battle and defeat organic enemies the game says that (insert enemies name here) has become tame but because you never beat him he never does die in or outside battle, you need to wonder if he were to be eventually beaten to the point where he would give up or die, would he "become tame" and truly redeem himself?
Of course he doesn’t get a place in smash. How do you even make attacks that can’t be comprehended. Do you purposely detach the hurt blocks from the object model? No of course not. You throw him the the perfectly safe capsule where he belongs.
No move set you give him would represent him at his peak, because the whole point is that he can’t be represented. He’s seen things and knows things you can’t even imagine the shadows of. And he’s using that against you.
@@hi-ougidemonfang that's true, but not all of his attacks are inexplicable! You've got his moveset as a boss from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, he can tear into targets, "discharge a stinky gas", drain HP, put up a counter shield, and hey maybe he could even use Ness as a shield like Peach's Toad move 😆
0:35, I don’t know what Porky being in SSB’s roster (or not) has to do with Mother 2/EarthBound or Mother 3. What would even be the point? The Absolutely Safe Capsule can’t be “safe” if there’s no way for him to leave it.
@@miguelgarces8946 I just think it'd be a lot of fun to have a non-PSI user and villain representing the MOTHER series, plus it would get more people interested in checking the games out
Good vid. I love that people take the time to really think about these characters that I didn't give a second thought about as a kid. I just thought "what a little ass hat"
I still think that the only way Porky can redeem himself is by dying, and trust me I'm ALWAYS willing to find good in anyone even Dr.Wily or Junko Enoshima because to me everyone does have a bit of kindness and evilness inside them and pure good/evil doesn't exist and the least you can have is 1% (or 0.00001% if you want to be generous with Junko). I do believe that's never late to find the path of redemption but sadly some villains are just too far gone to ever redeem themselves. In other words we can be good and chooses to stay good but most people prefer to switch side and stay in the wrong path
I will not lie, I didn't think someone would make a video like this for someone as heartless as Porky, much less have a softer view of the character. It's super well made btw and filled with stuff I didn't even know was a thing like the interviews with Itoi. While I don't agree with him being the most diabolical Nintendo villain out there (Mostly because I'm not a Mother fan), I think he is 100% high up there with the worst of them. I do agree with him missing the boat on Ultimate (that and an F-Zero villain are long overdue along with me wanting Andross to at least have a boss fight next game). This video was so well made I wish I could like it twice.
@ThaneGaming hard to say. Giygas isn't human, and Porky doesn't have any psychic abilities or supernatural powers that we know of. So, personally, I doubt it. I think he'll just lose his mind in there.
It would be so funny if they made in mother 4 after u beat him in a fight ur granted a level and u and ur team members who have psi powers start feeling feverish and if u so choose to open the invincibility capsule u sneeze on him once and that is what takes him out XD
Great video! Porky is probably one of my favorite fictional villains of all time. There's just so many layers to him. First of all, you don't see many child villains, and the fact that it only took a few bad days to push him this way. The scene in Happy Happy Village after Ness defeats Carpainter, where Porky apologizes makes me wonder something. In the original Japanese version when Porky takes Ness' silence as rejection, could Ness have prevented what was to come? Granted I think Giygas would have just found another right hand person. I have thought about what it must be like to be stuck in the absolutely safe capsule for all eternity and it's a downright terrifying thought. I think the only other villain in fiction who may have gotten a worse death or on par with Porky was Elder Toguro from Yu Yu Hakusho
@@kabinovskorner7205 So I think that bit about Porky taking Ness' silence as a rejection is an urban legend, because I checked the scene in Japanese and it plays out almost exactly like the English one (he still turns around and says "I lied"!). Mato doesn't mention anything about it in his book either, which likely means the differences weren't notable enough to be included. That's being said, I think you could certainly read it that way in either version. I do think that there were opportunities for Ness to have prevented (or at least slowed down) Porky's descent, starting with Porky's “refusal of the call” when he insists he isn't one of the chosen boys Buzz Buzz speaks of. Had Ness encouraged him more, perhaps Porky wouldn't be motivated to antagonize and see him as an ultimate rival. I'm not familiar with the fate of Elder Toguro but I've heard of Yu Yu Hokusho so I'll have to look it up!
@@ThaneGaming Well now that you say he turns around and mentions he lied. Sounds like it was almost exactly the same and yea, Porky was going to be bad no matter what.
Personally I would have leaned more on referencing Diavolo's fate more than Kars Because Kars at least got the solace of his brain basically shutting off as he floated through space. "Eventually he stopped thinking" as he turned to stone. This is essentially death as he no longer becomes conscious of himself as he turns into an icy meteor Whereas Diavolo will never lose consciousness, he's trapped in a perpetual repeating hell where he ironically through the repeating of him dieing over and over in new situations, he too is unable to truely die and he stays conscious of it. I guess it really depends on after those billions of years, would Porky eventually stop thinking? Or will he still be trapped in the prison of his thoughts
To think that maybe, just maybe, when buzz buzz talked about the 3 boys and a girl that would stop Gygas, if Porky would have believed in himself or maybe Ness would have asked him to come along, Porky's story could have been a much happier one.
The sad part abt porky is that if he stopped trying to escape his fate he wouldnt be in a fate worse than death, the only person I can think of who is in this same situation has gotta be diavolo from jojos bizarre adventure bec all he had to do was accept that he's lost but he still tried to cheat his way out
My brain went "And the Villains/Pure Evil wiki said he was Pure Evil. I never trusted those guys" a few times here. That and, "Smash Bracket used that non-canon novel. How silly." Very great work here.
I dig the Magicant theory, but personally i believe "Magicant" can only be created by high level espers. I really dont think our pal Porky is able to receive any grace.
Sorry, but the trauma does not justify his crimes in the end, maybe in beginning, but there is a limit to everything, and he crossed the line long ago... So, yeah, he deserved his fate absolutely, he missed the chance to redeem himself, so the only way, in my opinion, to save the world and people from his harmful ways is to isolate him from the world in that capsule. Cruel? yeah, but in the end, he did too many evil things, it's tragic, but what alternative we had?
@@Vopyr I do agree that he crossed the line long ago, and that his evil actions will never be justified. I also agree that Dr. Andonuts really had no other choice to put a stop to Porky. If he had to live out billions of years trapped in isolation but would eventually die, I'd say yes, he deserves it, as that is already a ridiculously, impossibility horrifying time in solitary confinement. But existing for infinity in this capsule with no escape is a fate worse than Hell imo, it's a fate beyond comprehension to us because no human will ever experience eternal life. He'll live longer than all of our ancestors combined with zero stimulation, and then do it all over again for the rest of forever. I can't agree with any person deserving this, no matter how irredeemable their actions are, but I respect your opinion if you don't feel the same.
If a villian is gonna be justified by their abusive parents and child neglect, their action shall not. I lived in a country where a dictator killed women and children. But if you think if he should be justified, then do you think killing all people in his command aka his evil actions can be justified? There are people who make pure evil actions and their past should never justified their evil actions. No one experience the horror of living in a dictatorship, that's why people can find a way to justify evil person's action.
@@IAARPOTI I agree that his actions as a dictator are not and should never be justified for the rest of eternity. His evil actions were his own, he is responsible for them and can never be "redeemed" in that sense. I would say a dictator irl like you're describing should be locked away for the rest of their days and we shouldn't feel sorry for them. What we're talking about here though is an impossible fictional scenario where said dictator lives on in isolation for all of time. That is something beyond comprehension to us, because no human has or will ever experience eternal life. In billions of years from now, Porky will have lived more lifetimes than all of our ancestors combined, trapped all alone with nothing to do but reflect on his actions. If Porky had to live out all of this time but would eventually die, I'd say yes, he deserves it. But existing for infinity in a capsule with no escape is a fate worse than Hell imo, which is why I made this video. I really appreciate your insight and concerns brought up with your comment--thanks for hearing me out!
@ThaneGaming I mean it's up for interpretation. It's basically if people in mother 3 are in heaven or not in the end scene. Did he actually live for a long time or not? Mother 3 itself is a full of interpretation. Again thanks for at least hear my point of view. Sometimes, my voice is lost for a long time. It's reassuring that you listen to me. Thank you so much.
Did you watch the video? I would at least recommend part III, where I talk about the horrors of immortality inside of the Absolutely Safe Capsule. I truly believe it's a fate worse than Hell, and something well beyond our comprehension. Porky will live more lifetimes than our ancestors combined in solitary confinement, then do it again for the rest of forever. No stimulation, no possibility of death, he'll just be stagnant for eternity with his thoughts. No matter how irredeemable his actions were, does any human deserve this? If he had to live for billions of years in this thing but was able to die I'd say yes, but that isn't the case.

Awesome read, thanks.
@@KumatorasLittleCutie-Pie No problem! :D
@@GarryDumblowskiOr he serves as an evil tutor as a swirl in an unopenable gacha capsule.

Note (8:52): this particular clip was uploaded by Turbz, not The SammyClassicSonicFan Archive. Sorry for the mix up!
@@lmlimpoismAlso Pokey was abused.
@@ariesdemiurge I was actually going to use more of that Kars scene but Warner Bros. flagged it for copyright so I had to settle with still images!
Never heard that one. I like it, and It suits Pokey who means business. Poor kid...
My previous video was actually all about Picky and this very topic! th-cam.com/video/xDTOcqXC1XM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=591JclymOARQPgnv
This is my understanding of things. You are responsible for your own actions, regardless of environmental effects shaping you.
I always hated the stupid "oThEr PeOpLe HaVe It WoRsE tHeN" you saying.
But yeah its a video game so (unlike real life) being good to other people is rewarding. In real life... not so much. People are jerks thats why i stay just with myself.

Oh, look! A video essay on my favorite games ever! Instant sub.
Right on, which game is your favorite in the series?
Like Giygas before him, Porky didn't begin evil only to become irredeemable in their next appearance

Truly a match made in hell
Maybe Porky is blue in the mech due to light inside of it? Like displays or led buttons etc.
That would explain also the gradient?
Who knows the insane mental abilities he may find there
I belice even after feeling remorse, given the chance, he WILL take any oportunity to cause mishapps and chaos
I could not have been recommended this at any better a time.

@@komi___ I really, really like that idea! It could have a similar theme to Link's Awakening
You are the Earthbound Guru,
Blessed is your insight
porky is like the Voyager 1 both forever traveling through space never seeing another thing it ever again
Oh yeah, he can't be in Smash Ultimate, he's in a fucking orb.
Honestly, after enough time, his mind will probably just start to dissociate in there. Eventually he won't even be aware of himself anymore.
@@xxProjectJxx do you think he could lose both his mind and body, eventually becoming a sort of second Giygas?
@ThaneGaming hard to say. Giygas isn't human, and Porky doesn't have any psychic abilities or supernatural powers that we know of. So, personally, I doubt it. I think he'll just lose his mind in there.
It would be so funny if they made in mother 4 after u beat him in a fight ur granted a level and u and ur team members who have psi powers start feeling feverish and if u so choose to open the invincibility capsule u sneeze on him once and that is what takes him out XD

That's fair! I'll try to remember to say that next time
Fantastic video! Porky is so tragic!
Personally I would have leaned more on referencing Diavolo's fate more than Kars
Because Kars at least got the solace of his brain basically shutting off as he floated through space. "Eventually he stopped thinking" as he turned to stone. This is essentially death as he no longer becomes conscious of himself as he turns into an icy meteor
Whereas Diavolo will never lose consciousness, he's trapped in a perpetual repeating hell where he ironically through the repeating of him dieing over and over in new situations, he too is unable to truely die and he stays conscious of it.
I guess it really depends on after those billions of years, would Porky eventually stop thinking? Or will he still be trapped in the prison of his thoughts
To think that maybe, just maybe, when buzz buzz talked about the 3 boys and a girl that would stop Gygas, if Porky would have believed in himself or maybe Ness would have asked him to come along, Porky's story could have been a much happier one.
if this video came out like 2 weeks earlier my english project wouldve been a lot better
How silly."
Very great work here.
Also remember that victim can be abuser and the same cycle repeats itself. Do keep in mind that Porky destroyed Ness's family directly and indirectly.
ETERNAL DARKNESS MENTIONED GRAAAAA
Honestly watching a parody of earthbound makes Porky's hate so much better
Boundearth made Porky even more evil
I dig the Magicant theory, but personally i believe "Magicant" can only be created by high level espers. I really dont think our pal Porky is able to receive any grace.
If porky was in smash his final smash would be entering the a.s.c. then getting to guarantee a time out win if he has a percentage/stock lead 😂
Funny idea but there's one problem with that plan, what if someone picks a stage with a hole in it and just rolls him off the stage?
Hey, it's me. The only positive alternative solution would be giving a place to see things for him. At least have an outsider for a check up.
Honestly i feel porky is so shallow and self centred he will just feel like he won, a la pigeon playing chess.
Well done
An analysis, now that is rare
Banger
Well done.
He's just like me frfr
A child-like dictator? An abuser of time travel? A chimera creator?
All of the above.
He deserved worse
Yes he does.
Wasn’t Aloysius the name of hitlers father?
Hitler's father's name was Alois. Pretty darn close!
@ the fascist doesn’t fall far from the tree 🍏
