High speed, crazy rate of climb, decent range, great fire control radar and stand off capabilities. It was the forerunner of the F-14 & F-15. A very well done and fitting tribute to the venerable Phantom. Hit the fleet in the early '60s, over 5,000 produced, and still a great aircraft. Excellent video.
I'm by no means a fight plane expert, just a fanboy of U.S. fighter jets and this one is in my top two. Yeah it's 50's technology and I've read that it wasn't the best performing jet out there, but it still looks stunning today as it did when it first came out. What an amazing video!!!!
