@@username1694 watch the dev interview video, the devs are clueless about multiplayer right now. the multiplayer promises are basically like no mans sky's multiplayer promises. they will give you vague answers that means nothing. they might focus on that years later like NMS did but right now, it's a pipe dream.

@@creeperslayers6 considering the KSC was able to move together with his craft, it might get ported as a part by modders. It reminds me of the entities in Minecraft, which is weird, considering it's supposed to be an unmovable structure.

The orbital assembly building looks amazing 2:22:15
The tracking station bug is because when you go to the tracking station, it uses the available time warps of your most recent vessel instead of letting you use all of them. If you want to time warp fast, you can switch to a landed vessel and then go back to the tracking station and then it gives you all the time warps

Still doesn't let you do the fastest possible timewarp so I'll probably just make a Kerbol probe in deep space to switch to or something
The KSC in orbit got me well
love this little aspect: the trees show you which way is straight down when you're on a hill, thus giving me a reference point for the absolute confusion of the KSC being mounted vertically in the ground XD
Honestly, what are even the chances of a bug(orbital space center) being SO PERFECT
Like the bug was so good, it had followed you around, it even had collision mesh
You could even walk on it even without gravity.
And best of all, the bug didn't go even when you recovered the vessel!
Felt like the bug had more features than the game rn
Besides, an orbital VAB could be interesting!

this game had been dead when devs decided to use old engine. There is no point to develop KSP2, if it uses the same engine as KSP1. And I dont see how this game is suposed to become better
I'd support them by getting into early access if a) my laptop wasn't already a potato wrt Kerbal 1 loadtimes, and b) it just looks soooo not ready for primetime yet. Sorry, just my opinion. If it gets more solid in a couple months, I'll get in and just wait til I've upgraded my computer.

Yeah, I was excited for KSP2 but this, even for early access is either too expensive, or just needs more dev time before it can justify the price. Your mod list for KSP1 makes that a much more enjoyable experience overall. I'll wait for a sale or it to get further along. I was ready to spend $20 or $30 but not $50 for this.

Waffle on Twitch got it from just making a small ion drive probe that ran out of power and then accelerated to 66000 M/S without any power and then Put the the KSC into space. and then later made a copy of the KSC at an 90` angle over the original position. could still launch thing tho at that angle XD

You can actually clip the camera under KSC when on the surface and see that the planet ground dips away under it. So yes, the trees are all part of it, because it's actually one big model.
Yeah i started to get suspcious when i quicly saw that the terrain is very hilly around the KSC but really flat around it.
That must cause TONS of lag
Also, that means buildings aren't destructible anymore
The ship looks like an XF-108 once those big intakes go on.
I guess the ability to build a ksc on another planet isn’t in early access yet but you can take the ksc with you

100%. This is what I’m saying. If you want to release an early alpha, sure. But price it accordingly.
And don’t tell me it is about money when they fly all the TH-camrs out to Europe just to generate buzz. They could have held a closed alpha and had people bug test. Reddit already has a mega thread for bugs.
I agree. If you look at other games that fit into this price bracket, they are polished, complete and content rich. If they wanted to launch it in Early-access, then it should be priced accordingly. That way, feedback is more likely account for the state of development. The way they have gone about it has really soured opinions and will take a great deal of work to rectify.
The only thing that deserves bashing, is the portion of the community who still, after more than a DECADE, still doesn't comprehend what Early Access Alpha/Beta versions of games means. We're still stuck with hundreds and thousands of people buying a game to play, that's literally advertised as "WARNING!!! PROBLEMS!!!", who think Early Access content is a valid excuse to down rate an early access game, because their own personal definition of what they want Early Access to mean, doesn't mesh with reality. Well boo hoo EA Karens.
EA is designed SOLELY for people who want to participate in active development, and who understand they're not always receiving a version of the game that feels polished, has completed features, or even runs worth a damn. People need to stop going to the Early Access portion of STEAM, when they want a new game to play and have fun with. Especially on day 1 of early access. For the people who actually matter in this, the ones who actively take part in helping development, we read every negative comment and bad review as "Hi, I'm a fucking idiot who doesn't understand Early Access and who wasn't going to help with development anyways." Your opinions are worthless. The game is only receiving a mixed review currently, because the same reason some high school kids think the largest city in the world is "Asia". They're fucking idiots, and they've been lied to when they were told they matter and their opinions are just as valid as everyone else's.
Steam needs a fix. Completely disable the rating and review ability on EA titles, for at least 30 days from release. That way, developers have a good, reasonable 4 weeks to roll out patches and hot fixes to address any major issue discovered at launch. And do NOT allow, under any circumstances, anyone to review a game period who has less than 20 hours play time. The majority of negative KSP2 reviews are by people with 0.2 hours, 90% of which not only didn't read the Early Access description, but didn't read the minimum fucking requirements to run the game. My God I hate children.

@@skydriver5709 Exactly! I wish I could like your comments 1,000 times. The game is literally labeled as early access and the developers have made it clear that there would be plenty of bugs. People are so stupid and think “oh early access, the game has to have all the features in it right now.” And the idiots that complain about the money aren’t forced to buy it or anything so why are they even complaining? The only thing to complain about for the game is the system requirements but that is gonna get resolved throughout early access and the features will be added so there is no reason to complain. I feel bad for developers considering they have such a brainless market to satisfy.

@@readmore7180 It's an excuse because all the progress you had made on the game is left in the studio you worked in before the lockdown. Sure, you may have a PC at home, but not the required files. And let's not talk about hardware - you don't have the hardware to test the game. There are also other problems like coordination difficulties. But still, these guys had 2 years and a half outside the pandemic. It was a curse for many projects that came right after 2020, but not so valid for this one.

The devs seem very open to communication and community feedback, which is good, but does not justify the insane price tag for what you are getting. Rn I think it's not worth it, and it will probably take a bunch of years for them to get the game to the level that KSP1 is at (I mean in terms of magnitude, not content). Also hoping by that time PC components are cheaper, I don't know much about the topic, but I get the general feeling that big title games these days require more and more while components don't advance as fast
I'm having no issues. Playing it at this moment. Already landed 2 cans on Mun and 1 on minmus. AMD RX6900XT, Ryzen 7 3700X, 32gb memory, 1440p with stable 60-70fps. I'm not quite sure how I've managed to play an "unplayable" game for the last 2 and a half hours without a single game breaking bug or crash.
@@skydriver5709 yeah I have a crap pc(Intel Core I5 10300H, 32 gb ddr4 ram, and a GTX 1650) and the game has been fine even on high settings, 10-20 fps at launch but 25-50 fps while in space.
the main issue right now is the poor optimization of the physics engine.
I'm definitely waiting awhile before purchasing this game.
As you should. Early Access development is really intended for the portion of the community that wants to play, test and help identify issues for the benefit of development. People who just want to play the games that other people have fixed, really should wait until 1.0.
EA is basically an announcement for a party at 6pm... but it's 1pm and you want to show up early and help set up the party. Nobody who shows up to help wants to hear the people standing around, bitching that the party isn't ready... and that's really how every negative review for EA games is received by the ones who actually do the work.

@@skydriver5709 Could not agree more. Stream clearly states that EA games are "unfinished" games that are in ALPHA or BETA phase. Anyone that is looking for something to just "play" right now has come the to wrong place. This EA is for people who actually want to find bugs, have performance problems and intentional try to break the game. It is not supposed to be fun right now, it is supposed to be a trainwreck, that is what the EA is for.
@@TheDainerss The community with regards to Early Access will never improve. Steam needs to crack down and help early developers by at least suspending the rating and review system for 30 days after launch. This would give developers a good 4 weeks to roll out some patches and hot fixes to deal with any major problems reported at launch, and also show their ability and willingness to quickly attend to those issues by reacting within a reasonable time frame. Days/weeks. Not months. THEN let people rate the game, because 90% of the day 1 complaints would be fixed, and the developer would also have their attention to the game and community to add to their credit.
And if people really just want to cry and blast their inability to comprehend the concept of Early Access, let them go cry on Reddit.
@@skydriver5709 Why would you pay nearly full price for a game published by the world's third largest game publisher, that isn't even remotely finished? Early access makes sense when it's a small indie developer but Take Two own the publishing rights to _the single most profitable piece of media in human history_ - they've got the money to do their own QA.
You don't need paying customers to tell you what the issues with KSP2 are - they're blatantly obvious to everyone, including the dev team.

I am woundering why TH-camrs act like its the first game of a small, new, indie team. This is a sequel, with the same content as before, with a graphical overhaul (what isnt very great tbf.) and one new major feature backed by a huge company. If this was what I got for "investing" 50$, and waiting for 5 years, I would be pissed. And the Audacity to look at it and saying: When its finished, we ll be charging 60$+ for it...

I got ksp the day they added the SPH and it ran beautifully on a 2013 macbook. This is way worse it’s running like this on purpose built streaming pc. I’ll just keep waiting till interstellar but to delay the game 3 years and release this is not a great sign of progress
@@lilkris3008 something fucky seems to have happened with the development process.
It looks to me like they decided to start KSP 2 from scratch, rather than building off KSP1, but then they were running out of money before finishing the project, and so they decided to start over again and build it off of KSP 1 instead of from scratch.
Leading to an "over promise under deliver" situation, and a delivered product that is not actually that different from the first one.

It is a lot of fun watching others play this; but hot dang.. I even bought the game for the full $50, intending to play it even if it was at a low FPS (that’s how I started out in KSP1 after all, hehe) but for the first time in my gaming life I decided to refund a game.
It’s nowhere near funny how buggy and unplayable the game was; I could barely build things because of janky camera, symmetry issues, things just deleting themselves. Not to mention parts just falling off once I tried to launch.
Very unfortunate, as I’d been looking forward to the sequel tons; but I’m just gonna keep playing KSP1 for now.

Encountered plenty of bugs but still fun. Got stuck multiple times planting flag, can't re enter vehicle after eva and plenty more but still fun and lots of potential. Love the procedural wing system though, didn't really encounter any bugs with it yet.
I’m actually working on a big plane just like the Tupolev-95 bomber, but it’s got turbo jets. It’s gonna have a big wingspan.
