    I bought the 30L version and I agree with you that you can store more gear than any other back pack I have tested (in the same capacity). I actually regret not buying the 20L version ! haha the 20L would have been actually big enough for me... but I bought it online without testing it, so...
    I agree with your review : the quality is premium, in every little detail : not a single element feels cheap.
    I also like the weight distribution. It feels comfortable even with quite a lot of gear and even for quite a long period of time.
    The price is very high, but I think it is worth it ! No regret for me (except the size) :)

      Thank you for sharing your experiences with this backpack. I also think that 20l will be enough for most people.

      I have the same problem. Now that ive been using the 30l for more than 6mons now, i regret buying it since im not carrying that much in my every day use. The 30l is overkill and quite heavy as well.

      I've got both the V2 20L and 30L on the way in order to test them. My big concern is the 30L won't be able to fit under a coach airline seat. I'm not a fan off overhead storage, which seems to always be full or distant from my seat.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It definitely won’t fit. I don’t think that 20l would fit either.

    Nice video mate! I have the 30L version and a good way to carry filters (I use the screw on circular ones) is in one of the foldable pouches and then I slide it underneath the bottom set of dividers and you hardly notice that it's there :)

    What are the exact dimensions of your laptop? I have an Asus 15.6 inch, but according to the dimensions listed on Amazon, I would need the 30L. You said that your 15.6 inch laptop fits in the 20L.

    I really wish they did a better job with the suspension system. The bag is super well designed with the interior and how it carries things, but IMO failed in the suspension area.
    As someone with ankylosing spondylitis and therefore extra sensitive to how a bag distributes weights, I find the lack of a proper waist belt disappointing. That tiny strap is NOT a waist belt. A proper waist belt would help migrates the weight from your shoulder and back on to your hips. It's much more comfortable that ways and prevent injuries through repeated high weight load on our backs. A typical camera system will be ~10-15lb (Body, holy trinity zooms, flash and/or tripod, + whatever misc). It's no surprise that hikers' backpacks have the best bag suspensions, and the key part is the waist belt.
    This is not just about comfort, it's also about the preventative measure on injuries.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I never use waist belt on any backpack so if there was "proper" waist belt that cannot be hidden it would actually be a deal-breaker for me.

    • @jaykan1002
      @jaykan1002 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheHybridShooter
      I can understand your reasoning. but I will have to agree to disagree. Even if you never use the waist belt, it doesn't mean you shouldn't. Just like most people have bad posture, it doesn't mean they shouldn't try to have good posture. A 3 lens zoom setup with a mirrorless FF body alone is already ~8lbs (fact). Without using a waist belt and having to carry the full weight on shoulder and back alone is simply not good for your back, especially if you were to be walking around all day for it. 8lb is significant when you think about the up/down motion of walking, and is supported mainly by your back. Now imagine longterm use, 1 year? 3 years?
      Trust me, when you have a sensitive back, you can feel exactly how much stress the bag is transferring to your lower back. It's still there even if you don't feel it. I have try dozens of backpacks, and stop with their waist belt are the only ones that don't leave my back aching by the end of the day. I can carry 2x as much weight with half the pain.
      Perhaps they can design a chunkier proper waist belt that's detachable.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I certainly believe you, but my back is not sensitive and I have no issues with that, so I still wouldn't use the waist best, because it is just inconvenient for me. If you need to use waist belt, there is lot of good backpacks on the market with proper waist belt.

    • @jaykan1002
      @jaykan1002 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheHybridShooter for preventative measure, even non-sensitive backs should use it. That was my point. Anyways, cheers and thanks for the video!

    I have looked at the Peak Design on and off for awhile now and I have to say I just can't pull the trigger on it. It's too expensive and not being able to actually lock your thousands of dollars in equipment up is unacceptable. I got to play with the Wandrd PRVKE last week and I find that's a better bag than the Peak and very comfortable, still a little overpriced though.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You can lock the backpack using some external lock, but as I said in the video, no backpack can be perfect for everyone.

    • @venom5809
      @venom5809 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can in theory lock the top pocket with some sort of cable lock but the side pockets are basically unlockable and not secure. A thief could cut those tabs in a second and get in. I have an eBags backpack that has lockable double zippers on every pocket and opening and when the zippers come together they form a hole that a lock can easily hook onto, there are even metal tabs on the backpack where you can hook the lock and the zipper onto. With Peak's new big bag they seem to have figured out people might actually need to lock up their $2,000 camera and seem to have made that more lock friendly.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Honestly I'm not concerned about this at all. I can't think of situation when locks would help protect the gear inside a bag like this. I will only carry this as hand luggage and I think there is much higher risk that someone will steal the whole bag, rather than trying to get inside and steal just the camera.
