    To make sure you dont marry your locs when retightening here’s a tip. I saw a woman use a small card(half a note card or business card. She poked a hole the size of her locs. She would thread her loc into the retightening tool and then needle the loc through the card. This made it so that they loc she was working on was isolated. It didn’t add extra time because all she did was thread the loc once before retightening each one

      Aren't duck bill clips an easier option?

    • @likeagenieinabottle1591
      @likeagenieinabottle1591 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This sounds like an interesting idea but I think this method would make it hard to incorporate new/stray hairs into the loc as they might not come through the business card with the loc.

    Genius idea! Great thinking. I have approximately 530 locs and have always thought that if ever I needed to retighten my locs myself how on earth would I manage? You have now provided the answer! Thank you so much for sharing xxx

    Really useful video! I'm not locked yet but I use a tri-fold mirror for braiding my hair. I will be starting my microloc journey soon and intend to use your suggestion of a phone clamp clip thingy if not a ring light, so that I can be seated in as comfortable a position as possible. Thanks for the suggestions!

    Ok... 3 questions...
    Are you using the Nayoo tool? (I purchased from Amazon because the easyloc tool is plastic and I wanted a metal tool)
    How are you able to keep your ends so nice and neat? Do you braid and band when you wash?
    And one more question... are you using just a clarifying shampoo or are you conditioning as well?
    Thanks for answering.
    Watching your vid has given me a bit more confidence to attempt to self retie. Thank you for sharing.

    • @Bindi_Marc
      @Bindi_Marc  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      1. Tool - EasyLoc tool (the original metal version)
      2. I brush my relaxed ends.
      3. I braid when washing my hair.
      4. I currently use Alaffia Coconut Shampoo and I condition (my relxed ends only) with Whole Blends
      Conditioner, Honey Treasures.

    Wouldn't you twist the rest of the hair? This will bunch eventually and will mici traditional locs but a micro form.

    ✨🙏🏽✨ thank you for making this video 💖😭💖 and all of your videos 🙌🏽 i just took out my _3rd_ set of locs, worst set yet, and have been hesitant to get sisterlocks for years because i’ve been hesitant to even get !locs! cuz i just didn’t like the look ~ i LOVE your hair. 🥲 i love all the tips, also a stay at home mom & have just been like “i can’t do this, i desperately want to, but i can’t afford let alone have the time to maintain this, and i’m over getting my hair professionally done all together, but what do i do?? 😩” ~ then i remembered, i’ve box braided with extensions a couple times, over a few days, it wasn’t that bad. 🤔 now, watching how excited you were and all your trials&error of experience, just thank you so much. ✨🥰✨
