Nice work! The only tip I can offer is what my pro-bro does to hide the lights glowing in the wheel wells: use black electrical tape formed into the shape of the wheel well. This requires you to put the wheels on last. The final result is great.

Lol. Loved this customisation. I agree with your preference of using smaller battery. Plus if I may suggest, if the hood can be raised, then maybe install battery there. The battery would become the engine which wold be a reality. Also if possible, maybe fit the sensor somewhere on the top portion. So that in stead of picking the car up and touching magnet from below, I would like to touch it from top. Well i bet its easier said than done. Here i am just commenting, i am 100% sure that I wont even be able to open the car.
Great work. Its really amusing to watch you work on these.

Mine too. 70-73 and 74 after they changed the nose and rear. I've always had a soft spot for 74 because they were a bit of a mongrel. The first year for this, the last year for that. It was basically the same as the 75-77 but just different enough to be a really unique year for the Camaro. The 78-81s were ok too. I was just starting to drive in 83-84, and got my license in late 84, and for us, because of their age, those were the quintessential Camaro. They were just the right age for hand me downs after the parents were done paying them off a couple years earlier. By the time 86-87 came around, a few of my friends had them and started modding them to not be mom and dad's car anymore. Not me though, it was several years later before I got one. My hand me down after my das was done with it, or so he thought, was a 77 Chrysler Newport 440. Shortly after that I got a 82 Plymouth Gran Fury Police Interceptor because Dad wanted his car back. Yep, I was the only kid in school that had a police car

  • @DiemenDesign

Love your work. I'm wondering if it would be possible to light the dashboard by thinning out the backside of the dash, or removing the dials completely and placing a printed or drawn plastic or paper section with the instruments with an led behind so when you turn the lights on the dash lights up as well.
